Woke up to head to the office for my regular 9-5 job, decided to go fuck it, I work 3 days a week there and I'm relatively free to shuffle my days. So stayed home today, drank too much coffee, and spent too much time fixing some bugs in my (hopefully soon) to be opened free bloghost.

Right now I'm doing nothing, getting ready to hit the sack and get some sleep before having to go play evil angry auditor at a client tomorrow. Gotta love doing ISO 27001 audits :D

Good morning world |waves|

Two at a time plan here too. Incredible Hulk here and Indiana Jones/Crystal Skull arriving today. Just 6 waiting and four of those won't be released until November. Only 14 saved. And zero instant since Netflix doesn't like the Mac yet.

Which is fine since my dvr hard drive was 83% full this morning. I got some catching up to do.

Newsletter day here. Wishing everyone a better what's left of the day than you had in the what's gone.

:)

Morning. Up and already importing a bunch of stuff for a site. Along with importing did some reviews and now going to prep to get back into submitting some freesites. Been oh so lazy on that front. Also going to load this one new blog of mine up with a bunch of posts. So for the next couple months I won't have to worry about it.

Going to watch a movie later and run to pick up my suit for the wedding this weekend in Chicago. Nordstrom's rox. I bought a suit 3 years ago there and have worn it 3-4 times to other weddings. The pants were getting a small hole in them and I took them in to show them. They gave me a brand new suit. |thumb That's some good service.

Happy hump day.

QUICK! GO DELETE Fools Gold NOW!!!!!!!!!! I can not even begin to describe how horrendous that piece of shit is.

Other than that, you need to do some searching & add some titles - I'd screencap mine, but it'd take 5 pics :D

We both love romantic comedies so we are giving it a chance despite some horrendous reviews but that is what happens when you don't pay per movie.

Here is my past viewed queue with our ratings.

Anyone use the Netflix/Xbox 360 option? If so the pros/cons?

I was looking it over a few days ago and they had 880+ movies/tv shows listed, I am thinking of trying it out once we start spending more time at home during the colder weather.

That was the in flight movie when I went flew to San Francisco in June. I didn't pay for a headset to listen, but even without hearing the dialog I could tell it was pretty lame...

...and I like both Mathew McConaughey and Kate Hudson.

If they charge you more for that, don't bother. You can just hook your computer up to the TV & watch the same movies via their website. I say that because I know they are trying to sell some box that will do that for $100.

The quality is good & I've watched a lot of movies on there.

People with Tivo will soon be able to watch Netflix on their Tivo.

Netflix is finally going to start supporting Macs (intel ones only)
http://www.macworld.com/article/1358...0/netflix.html

Some Blu-ray players will also get the ability to watch Netflix internet streaming.

Fucking TiVo! It's only available on the HD models & they want way too much money for those units, not to mention that you loose some channels & there's no On Demand or PPV |angry|

Cleo 2008-10-30 08:49 AM

I'm screwed with Tivo because I'm using DirecTV and now have DirecTV's POS HD DVR although I do have DirecTV's very crippled SD Tivo in the bedroom. DirecTV and Tivo announced that they have kissed and made up so hopefully next year I'll be able to get a DirecTV brand HD Tivo.

Honestly I have no clue what it reall is that I saw, but I know I did see 800+ movies and TV shows and alot of them dated to the 1930's like the old Superman serials, and "Reefer Madness".

I have no extra box so who knows what I saw, I will go down and look tonight maybe....

We had a really long day....

Oh yeah, they also had "Mandingo" and no I am not joking, no idea if it was censored or not.

What a piece of shit that was. It sucked for a kids movie. Maybe it'd be better in 3D & stoned, but then again, life itself would probably be better with blurry glasses & |potleaf|

Sadly, Fools Gold was worse.

Torn Rose 2008-10-31 11:12 PM

Ok since this is the day thread that just won't die, I went back and looked and I was looking at the MS Market place, You can rent movies for 2 weeks or 24 hours after you hit play, for what amounts to $6 or so, as well as Xbox 360 games that download to the harddrive and other stuff, but the list of old superhero cartoons is amazing, all the old classic ones, so I'm sure I will be giving Bill more $.

Greenguy 2008-11-01 10:04 AM

Amazon (and I think Apple) lets you rent them for 1 month & 24 hours after you hit play. I think each costs $4.99, but there's usually some $0.99 movies too (like last week it was all scary movies)

On Demand PPV's are $4.99 as well, but with us, only a few are widescreen & none are HD.
