Once you get more experience and see how the search engines react to your site(s) you can adjust your keyword strategies. Don't drive yourself to insanity trying to figure it out as an exact science tho. The world changes on a daily basis. ;)

Great, first there's no Santa Clause and now I have to deal with change on a daily basis!?! Ohhh, I can't handle this!!! (j/k;)) |scared|

I remember the words of Obi-Wan, "Patience, my young padawan."

Its normal to start with PR0.

My advice. For now get PR1 and multiple incoming links and then forget it. Work instead on your search terms/SEO and try to broaden that. As you max out then work again on the PR more and knock it up to see better results.

You need at least a little of both PR and SEO to get good rankings and visitors. With only one or the other, you are sunk. Its far easier to get good SEO than it is to get 1,000 incoming links and PR6. Always work your weakness as far as the bottlenecks to traffic go. :)

Make sure you have a stats program which will show you search terms. :)

...if PR6 only took a thousand typical backlinks...

...the scale would probably go to a thousand instead of ten : /
