Does anyone have an example of their link code so that I can do a search and delete?

Never mind, I found one,

I just deleted all their links.

Charlie 2010-09-19 12:37 PM

Some my posts with their links in them give me decent traffic so I'm going to swap them with others in the same niche instead of wasting the posts.

I figure since they aren't getting back to anyone, they won't get back to me over this either. |jester| If they have anything to say about me using their content, I can find out what happened to all my hits and traffic and maybe get paid for the free advertising LOL

Charlie 2010-09-19 12:50 PM

Don't forget NAUGHTY WEB CAMS goes through them too I think.

Just so everyone knows, I did get an email response back from Jay C that they were updating their database and you can't log in during that time. I did change a lot of my own links already, but thought others should know they are responding back.

|catfight|

they should public some information about situation - not only repeat on ICQ "we updating database" ;)

yeah i agree this makes them look bad imo

Mike-mijen 2010-09-20 10:21 PM

Changed mine out already. I ask them earlier last month on their cookies it was 12 to 24 hours. So I stopped them anyway

Charlie 2010-09-21 07:24 AM

Yeah, I'm still going to swap links out too cause it's been around 3 weeks, but this is just for people who wanted to know they were still in contact.

petergg2 2010-09-22 12:15 PM

that is what post Jay on other board:

"Yes, we still do regular updates, in fact we have a brand new tour coming out for All Reality Pass, much improved over the existing tour, and several other sites in the works -

Unfortunately the db upgrade is taking much longer than expected, we had a hardware failure during the upgrade, which is causing the extended delay. We are not happy about it, but our team has been working hard to get it restored and until they are done, you won't be able to check stats. It's not been three weeks, its been 10 days, agreed 10 days too long...

If anyone has any questions or concerns please contact me or Jman."

But in 100 and 10 days who knows what might happen? You're whole life might change! |smooch|

MeatPounder 2010-09-22 06:09 PM

lol, their regular "updates" are simply redates of old content

bDok 2010-09-23 02:06 AM

Still is down. ugh. Looks like I'll be pulling links and redirecting some stuff. Lame. Added to the long to do list.

bDok 2010-09-23 02:37 AM

got this from another board:
Quote:

Dear valued affiliate,

On Wednesday September 22nd we will be completing our final move to our new data center. During that time period we may experience site outages and some small amounts of downtime. Unfortunately this is unavoidable, but once this is complete you will see increased network performance and reliability.

Also, as most of you know, the db upgrade is taking much longer than expected, we had a hardware failure during the upgrade, which is causing the extended delay. We are not happy about it, but our team has been working hard to get it restored and until they are done, you won't be able to check stats. We are working as quickly
as possible to complete.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Your patience is appreciated!

Yeah, I got that in an email along with a duplicate for ULUST. I was trying to remember if they were one and the same. ULUST was down for a while a ways back, but I don't think as long as this for traffic cash gold.

Charlie 2010-09-23 04:30 PM

Yeah, just so you know, I emailed them too and they get back to you pretty fast just so everyone knows.

ArtWilliams 2010-09-25 04:52 PM

This is what I now get:

Warning: sybase_select_db(): Sybase: Unable to connect in /web/php/database/database_connection.obj on line 45

Warning: sybase_select_db(): Sybase: A link to the server could not be established in /web/php/database/database_connection.obj on line 45

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /web/php/database/database_connection.obj:45) in /web/content/corp/trafficcashgold.com/htdocs/login.php on line 120

Complete incompetence!

cd34 2010-09-25 11:10 PM

From pieces of conversations, and the delays, here's my theory:

disk crash at host on sybase server, no backups
drive sent out for recovery - this is not a quick process if it is a media rather than mechanical failure
site that was transferred to new hosting company, database configs not altered, machine continues to try to contact sybase server which is offline (hence the 27 second timeout)

If it is at a drive recovery company, they give so little feedback and you have no idea where they are in the process until they are done. The sales rep will tell you things are progressing, we're at x%, should be done Friday, etc. Until you get that tracking number, you just don't know when you're going to get the drive back.

My webhost is suppose to make weekly backups of all my sites (adult and mainstream). I continue to make manual monthly backups in case something happens to their operation. I don't want to sued by clients or lose income streams.

It is hard to believe that this could happen to a major adult player. Just goes to show you that behind some of these seemingly professional programs are sites held together with spit and duct tape.

I have my server setup to do nightly MySQL dumps plus all my domains are synced via Rsync to a Firewire drive attached to Mac mini in my home each night.

It seems some people don't understand the value of backing up.

petergg2 2010-09-26 10:52 AM

but maybe they have pay for backup's and backup's was not working ...

sometimes shit happend ;)

petergg2 2010-10-06 02:51 PM

lol its almost 1 month and they still not working ...

I think there are better ways to close affiliate programss than that ...

someone use them still ?

Fonz 2010-10-06 03:03 PM

Just curious. Has anyone been able to log in here with their original ID yet? Giving complete latitude, I'm pretty sure even the 3-5 days thing is up.
