Hya Paul|waves| i agree all have to do want they want for their sites , me myself i dont check rootdomains........for real i have hubs on root domains i see linksites ask wich url need to be linked and wich url have their link back further i wont check, if i get 404 accedently and it has bad things on them i will reject, but i dont check ......first its not telling at the rules that your root and all have to be by the rules of the linksites too and second it will take me daysssssssssssssssssssss to check all that stuff from sites submitted. And we all know pornsurfers look further.......thats a benefit for the ones who make sites and take advantage of it, just my 2 cents

First of all, I was opening a discussion with other webmasters on a webmaster board about something that happened to me, to see how other LL owners felt about this. I did happen to show some respect, unlike you, by not post his name or his site or calling him names. What had happened was the point, not who had done it.

I did not call him a Nazi, so make sure your quoting the right people before putting words in my mouth.

I dont see a reason dont get me wrong, but what is so bad about the root, i cant see it and call me stupid i dont care, he submitted a free site and not his root.

Ummm...no I haven't been whining on ICQ about anything. 1 webmaster (who I won't be chatting to again anytime soon, obviously you all like to chat like little girls on the playground.) asked me about the post and I was explaining to them about it. I didn't mention the site till they brought it up. So, you obviously have no clue as to what your talking about.

Yes, I do have a bunch of links all over the domain. A domain that just sits there and does nothing. I dump galleries, FPA and what ever links I have on there.

I don't rely on 100% SE traffic to make money on my sites, I just started fucking with them to see what works and I am trying things that were suggested me from various people and various sites. Trial and error is what it's all about.

If your entire business is revolving around SE traffic only, that's called putting all your eggs into one basket and that's just bad business in my opinion.

Obviously you came into this thread to either kiss Pauls ass, try to belittle me, or just start a fight. What ever your reason, I can care less, good for you. You sure have impressed every one here.
I came to the board to discuss something with other Adult Webmasters. Both of which terms I question about you.
I didn't disrespect Paul or his site. I didn't mention a site or a name and brought it up for discussion with other LL owners to see if anyone else felt this way.

Paul explained in an email (which he certainly didn't have to) why he did what he did and I told him in an email exactly what I said here, it's his site and he could do what he wanted. I respect that he does what he wants with his site. I've ran my own the same way for the last 7 years.

But I am not going to waste time submitting to 100 sites if they all adhere to that same rule, nor am I going to change 100 pages on a site I own, if only 1 webmaster feels this way. I was looking for some feedback from people I submit to.

Ingrid - on the subject of checking root domains - if I know the webmaster well, I don't - but like all linksite owners I start getting subs from webmasters I don't know from adam..... the majority are good hardworking webmasters - but within that group there are dickheads - sad, but a fact of life (and I'm not calling DrB a dickhead - for the record) so I like to sniff around their stuff - see how they do things - that's all - yeah.. I have to spend a little extra time on this - but it pays off. And it don't hold back listings either.... most webmasters who sub to me have their site listed in within 4 hours tops here - every day of the week.

DrBizzaro NEVER mentioned the site, the site owner or referred to it in any way at all so he was not disrespecting anyone.

He thought it was an odd reject reason and brought it up for discussion without mentioning the site. I can see you getting pissed had he said that asshole at Mondo did this.

But he didn't say what site it was. Plus we all know Paul is not an asshole anyway. :)

Thanks Paul for explaining, but i review 6 linksites and checking them all it takes to many time for me, like i said i respect al webmasters for how they run their sites, you have your own reason to not listen some submitted sites, for me its i liked the sites wich Dr bizarro made all b the rules of the LL and i have list them at premium, for me i dont see a problem on the root but thats my view. Its good to have different views. if all people are the same the wold would be dull!!!!

Ok - my take on all this...

DrB does ask me questions about free sites from time to time, seeing as I run a link list & he is my friend. Every now & then he asks me a "Is this a standard practice....?" kinda question & yesterday was one of those times. I've never heard of a free site being rejected for pages on the domain that are not even linked to from the free site itself. Seems kinda strange & odd to me & I told DrB that - actually, my exact quote from ICQ was "that's really strange & not a normal practice that I've ever heard of"

It also didn't click in my head at the time that Mondo Erotica was doublep (of course, once I saw the avatar, I remembered - LOL)

I do think it is a strange rule - and this is coming from the guy that co-wrote most of the strange rules that webmasters read on a lot of link lists to this day :)

But, I am also a firm believer of "My Site, My Rules" policy & would never hold that against anyone.


Opti - you were a bit out of line - for one thing, the only mention of the word "Nazi" was by our very own Nazi, DangerDave - and I know this was in jest, along the lines of "no one should have rules tougher then mine" For another, DrB did what I would have done had I submitted & been declined for that reason, he asked a question - on a board that is set up for asking questions exactly like the one he posted.

There is no harm in double checking to see what is standard practice and what isn't, hell it made me think more in-depth about my reviewing practices and I don't see how bringing up a topic without pointing fingers is a bad thing, especially if its not slamming someone.

I hope not too far... and re-reading my posts, I dont believe I put words in Dr. B's mouth... he appeared to come out firing, ridiculing someone who had done their best to explain their personal reasons for the reject.

I wouldnt reject for that reason either... and if it was DangerDave or someone who does reject sites for "technical" breaches more than most I would of just giggled at Dr.Bs frustration and moved on... but as anyone that knows DoubleP would understand... he rarely if ever has anyone complain about being rejected from mondoerotica... and doesnt deserve to be ridiculed publicly around here with no one backing him up at all.

Dr B! - thanks for the mail - I will shoot you some back. And just for the record, the site you subbed was a GOOD site! I didn't want to hit the the delete button - but I had too. If it had been a webmaster I didn't know they would not have had mail from me - I know you hang here, so I figured you deserved one. What I said in the last paragraph of the email explianing things in more detail to - still stands. :)

Opti - I wouldn't say DrB came out firing, but I can see where one might interpret his post in that way. I also do not think anyone knew who he was talking about, since he mentioned no names or sites. So his "bitch" (for lack of a better word) wasn't so much directed at someone, but more of a "let me get this off my chest" kinda thing.

it was interesting, and i saw both ways, i like Dr bizaro's sites and i list them and i saw paul's view on it i respect both and i am glad its not getting bad on this board, when Dr Bizarro mention this all i didnt knew it was paul, i gave my view and i still stand with that point , i list his sites and all have there view on it, no disrespect .....strange oke, but thats my view for the other its normally...........and we live happy all together, its time for me 10.30 evening i am from 5.30 morning on the net, am superwoman, i hope it all work out and all will be happy.....and Dr bizaaro keep building those free site i like them....goodnight all|buddy|
