I would say that too much free content is also hurting conversions. The surfer has no incentive to buy when you give them everything they want before they get to whip out their cc.

well, today there is a new reality the golden days are almost over. i submit on tons of tgps very few generate regular sign ups.
you have to know what is converting on wich tgp. the work is a little bit diufferent than before. before even a crappy gallery convert on almost every tgp, now you have to work harder and have your head in your stats, study the traffic/conversion of every tgp you submit in buy spots etc.
but the fact is that the most traffic you get, the most chances you have to convert.

And also true that the overall traffic is bad as more tgps open daily offering free stuff. Gotta know what is converting and what is not. It's a touch thing to do daily!

i generally convert tgp traffic between 1:150 and 1:400. i always make at least 5 sales from the hun on day one, but usually more. on some revshare programs where sales don't start out golden, the money with rebills makes up for it. also permanant galleries continue to send sales forever.

one thing i notice is that tgp advertising is in constant evolution. change to what you do is neccesary on a regular basis. another thing is if you are advertising a well-known site, that ratio will get a LOT worse. i never advertise a site unless it either offers exclusive content or a nice design - not full of flash, but just a design that represents its niche. and i won't promote a site that doesn't have text accurately representing the niche.

so no fat girl with food all over it sites. no mature sites with 30 year old women on them. no twink sites with obviously queenie or hairy guys. and so on.

and last, i use good quality content where at least 12 out of 15 pics clearly represent what i am selling. for example, if i'm selling a big dick solo site, i make sure that dick is showing AND looking big in a minimum of 12 pics. some people use 10 dressed pics and 5 naked for stuff like this, but for hairy pussy, uncut cock, big dick, etc, i show what the surfer wanted to see. they click an average of two pics and then click a link.

I got three galleries listed at the hun. But just 2 sales. I think its because of my poor selling skills.|sad|

Don't be so quick to knock yourself. One thing no one has mentioned here is how to effictively convert hun traffic. It's not like a normal tgp or mass traffic coming from multiple tgp sources. His surfers are very experienced porn surfers. To do really well, you should be promoting something new (preferably), using decent content, and go for a basic design that's quick loading, nothing flashy. It's content that sells, especially on the hun. :)

i have a friend whose galleries don't sell shit as a rule, but his last gallery on the hun did 5 sales.

over a three day period, mine do anywhere from 8 to 12, generally. i know people who do 20 or more sales on the hun, but i post micro niches.

It's a total bitch that the hun's closing submissions in august. Guess all good things must come to an end though. Wonder how much he'll make off his own hosted galleries, huh?? :(

Thats the key to sales on tgps in my opinion - have a micro niche, know everything there is to know about it so you can sell it, and don't waste time submitting it to TGPs that send babe traffic is you have a micro niche that has nothing to do with babes :)

The Hun is fantastic with those niches - agreed - the other TGPs are great for other purposes - of course the root benefit is getting targetted traffic into your system - and then presenting targets for them.

In marz i had an gallerie at the hun which gave me 22 sales in one day, it was squirting gallery, i use humor and good pics, if i get on the hun i get sales, could be from one to 25 it all depends which niche and how you set up your gallery, i am not a tgp expert, i started the net with free sites and now i got alot of other stuff , what i have notice is i am good in strange things and strange things people like that, so i just try.....and others should do the same, lately i do more tgp then free sites, why, because tgp is easy made then free sites, i can nag days on the colors and text fot free sites, and i dont have much time to build free sites.
