I normally do thumbs 150 on the long side...full size pics 600-650 on the long side. Between 25-45k.

There is another way to work this content issue. As a paysite operator, I manage the content I bring on board by keeping anything new for the paysite and anything older then 6 months can be used in a freesite or tgp. There is a good likelihood that purchased content will get on the net fairly fast but it will take a while for my paysite content to rotate itself to useless pictures.

When you hear someone say "content is king" they mean exclusivity. If you are in the position to shoot your own content you would keep that content exclusive for atleast 6 months if not longer, especially the hardcore. Every webmaster should be doing this. Unfortunately, when we buy content its hard to gleen when it was first put available to webmasters on the net unless you are always shopping in the same places etc.

Hey thanks 2 Alphawolf and finnbear 4 great reply

I've got a question though - e.g. yo've got a freesite. you submit it to linklists. time passes, the freesite is out of LL listing and birngs you no more traffic. the question - do you resubmit the same site with new content or do you redesign it?

thnx for answers

This thread has been very interesting. Makes alot of points and my head is spinning now from it. LOL I just have a question... From what I have seen don't most not all link lists state in their rules no sponsor content? What exactly is too much? Full spread I would assume, or even less than that? Extreme close ups?

Most of my pics are 500x700 and I make my thumbs 144x144, I guess I never really gave it much thought about clarity, why wouldn't you want to give a surfer clear pics to view? Seems like a complete waste, I dunno.

I am very much in the same thinking of I don't want to give away too much but you kinda have to give away enough in order to get listed. Don't stone me, just a newbie free site builder who is very confused now and just does what it takes to get her sites listed LOL|rasta|

I use build-submit-forget system. IMHO it's better to build a new site than use all day checking old ones. Some LLs list your site, some don't. In some LLs your site is listed as long as that LL is up (they come and go) some drop you after some time. BUT, your site will have traffic still, from SEs and from your own private LL/s where you list your sites. Let old sites be and build new ones.

I have build 150+ free sites this year. They all sell. As an example, I have built only one celeb site and as it's only site I built for that sponsor I thought it will never sell as weeks my stats showed zero. But then one day there was a nice sign-up, weeks after I had built that site.

In these days it's wise to not put all your eggs in one bag. I use lots of sponsors, and build sites for all of them. At first it gives you smaller checks - or no checks at all as many sponsors have minimum pay rule - but when time goes checks will come and when you have hundreds or thousands of sites you will get nice income.

It's hard work, but there is no way from rags to riches in one week. We adult webmasters are lucky. When other folks go to day job at morning, we can have a nice cup of coffee, read mails, check stats, and start working in our own home.
