Any one hear why kids are singing the national anthems today? I came in on the start of both so I didn’t hear who they were and why, but both were pretty good.

The Philly kid I assume was blind, may not have the talent to sing, but he had balls of steel to do it in front of 60,000 and that was the first time I have seen that many in the Military cry during the anthem, even a few players looked chocked up, so I assume there is a story to it.

And that girl who just did it in Pitt was AMAZING, and I am not one to say good things on kid singers, but I have a feeling a contract is in her future.

nah, if I was a sportscaster that made my living on saying who is going to win, then yeah, Id feel like a moron, but I’m just a fan who had the balls to post his picks at kick off.....

BTW, I predicted it would be Philly/NE at the start of the season.....

PHILADELPHIA -- Jeff Thomason put down his hard hat, grabbed a helmet and joined the NFC champions.The veteran tight end is going to the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles after being out of the NFL the last two seasons.

"It's incredible. I'm probably the luckiest guy in the world," Thomason said Tuesday after he signed with the Eagles to replace injured tight end Chad Lewis, a three-time Pro Bowl selection.

Lewis, who hurt his foot on the second of his two touchdown catches in Philadelphia's 27-10 victory over Atlanta in the NFC title game, was put on injured reserve to make roster space.

Thomason was working an assistant project manager for Toll Brothers construction company in New Jersey when the Eagles called Monday. Lewis actually made the first call, telling Thomason he was recommending him as a replacement.

The time is here, so let's make predictions everyone.

I say New England will repeat.

For the first time ever, my preseason pick for the Super Bowl has turned out right with NE/Philly so I am sticking with that and my original pick of New England.

They have one of the best "TEAMS" I have ever seen, and I stress the word "TEAM".

Everyone knows his role, everyone plays as hard as they can every down, and no one cries "I don’t get the ball".

In fact, you never hear the word "I" from them unless it is "I fucked up, but my TEAM won the game"

This team has it all, a balanced O, balanced D and balanced Special Teams and of course, a great coach who not only knows football, but how to deal with people and egos.

I like Philly, Love McNabb, Love Reid, and TO seems to have chilled out, but he is still an egomaniac who has to have the attention even when he is not playing. (Hey TO, go talk to Jack Youngblood and see how it is to play hurt)

So let’s see the predictions…..

Like the last few Super Bowls, I'll probably be napping through the 2nd half, if I'm watching at all. Poker run on snowmobiles is lined up :)
I personally don't care, and I don't think 2/3 rds of the USA cares either, this is an East Coast only game. (never mind Vegas)

They are an amazing story, in a time where free agency usually strips stars from teams, they continue to roll.

They have a great recruiting team that recruits football players, not speed demons and strong men (like the Raiders do).

Football players can get a little faster and a little stronger but I really believe that you can't turn a track star into a football player (odd time it happens)
