It still indexes over 7k pages, but most of them are listed as urls - no titles, no nothing.

Same symptom a couple of my sites are having -- apparently this is happening to a lot of people. :-(

Luckily there are more than one search engine out there -- not to mention other ways to get traffic. It pays not to rely upon Google too much.

there are always minor adjustments everyday

DrSmut - they have three different indexes out there right now and they are rotating them while they do some click tracking - should get back to normal by this weekend - and then we should see the normal "fresh" updates every day - although after this last update that looks like a very corrupted database I wouldnt be surprised to see them do a full update very early in March

Or maybe they'll just keep changing things every few minutes to keep us on our toes? :-)

OK - so I was a little wrong on them waiting till early March - looks like they are bringing in a new index and new backlinks - either that or they have done a complete rollback - but something is up this afternoon

Linkster what data center has the newest results

Linkster 2005-02-22 07:05 PM

Plateman - I havent figured whether they are really new results yet although 66.102.7.147 has different backlinks for Yahoo than the rest - pretty much all datacenters seem to have some new sets of results but they are all mixed up as to the number of results - most that I can see right off the bat seem to have a greatly reduced index - but thats how they usually start - then add in more as it goes along - I usually look at the results for a search on "sex" - normally runs about 330 mill - last number I saw was down around 64 mill earlier today as the new index started appearing

I think they tweaked it until it didn't work and now they can't unfuck it! |huh

Seems this 'dance' will never end!
I just checked my counter stats, which for the last 6-7 hours showed quite a few hits from Goggle under "Free Porn" (results 90+, still o.k. considering they list 13,300,000 pages) - but when I cross-checked it my listing was gone again...

Thanks linkster I been checking that one and today I am seeing more normal search strings increasing.. So maybe what ground I did gain and lost will trickle back..
