Greenguy 2005-06-07 08:19 AM

I agree with Raw Alex - 404's & 302's on the pages that were linking to will not be blacklisted, but if we find a site that appears to still be active, but the internal links are all redirecting, those will go on the blacklist.

Cleo 2005-06-07 08:24 AM

Yeah the same here. Pull all you want but leaving the entrance page up and redirecting the inside stuff for get you a permanent spot on my ban list. :(

Their loss...people that do 404 because they can't get the 2257 info for whatever reasons are the responsible webmasters that wouldn't cheat the system. They're the guys and gals that don't change pages, that follow all the rules, and generally are the people you want submitting. If they want to blacklist that group of webmasters, let 'em, honestly it's their loss in the long run.

sickkittens 2005-06-07 03:37 PM

Will replacing content be a major problem w/ link lists?

sickkittens 2005-06-07 03:39 PM

Also, what are people doing that have *some* free sites that are compliant on the same domains where others aren't compliant?

Linkster 2005-06-07 06:40 PM

sickkittens - replacing content shouldnt be a big deal as long as its relatively the same type and still meets the LLs rules - although I tend to favor the idea of just 302 or 404 till we know whats going to really happen as it takes a heck of a lot less work (and Im always for that) :)

as far as the sites where some are and some arent - hopefully they are in their own little subdirectories and you can add a htaccess to 302 or 404 anything below those directories

Linkster 2005-06-09 06:43 AM

Well - here's the first of my list - all 302 as I hope this all gets sorted out long before the 23rd (yeah right) - todays sites are real old domains with mostly bdsm content:

bdsm-top.com
bdsm1.com
bdsmbondagefree.com
bdsmmoviepost.com - the movie post will stay up
bondagelesbian.com
dragondungeon.com
dragonxxx - partially done
fetishpicfree.com
freesexbdsm.com
subbdsm.com
topbdsmsites.com
torture1.com

i just found out today i am going into a lawsuit against a private photographer over content i havnt got a chance to use yet...

if i cant trust someone who i thought was a good friend then all images will be deleted because now i just cant trust 5 years of my time to anyone.

all picture content hosted on happysmut.com will be removed and redirect to main domain on june20th.

CatsEye 2005-06-11 07:17 PM

"Catseye, are you pulling all the freesites from that domain cause I just got another submission from with that domain.

My apologies, Fonz; the freesites on that domain will be taken down after June 23rd if need be. I won't submit more free sites after this weekend.

Should I re-submit them to you later depending on how things shake out with the legal whoo-haw?

Thank you-
CatsEye

|waves| Ok a little confused about redirecting sites. I have a domain that has many sites built off it. Only a couple of them still get traffic, I doubt most of them are even listed. I'm going to pull the freesites and tgp's off line. I don't want to give up the domain name though. So if I take down the sites that are built off of this domain name I'll still be able to use it in the future right? |dizzy| Oh the domain name is:

justustogether.com

Thanks!

porndragon 2005-06-14 01:32 AM

I run a free site most of which is sponsored content ima stick it out though :P Most of my sponsors already refused to remove free content so..

Linkster 2005-06-14 05:58 AM

sue - most of the LLs have agreed to not blacklist for doing a 404/302 as long as its going to something mild - if it redirects to a sponsor or puts the surfer in console hell of course thats a different story - as well as leaving up sites but removing the content inside - that would not be a good approach :)

Boogie 2005-06-14 10:55 AM

I will be removing a handful of free sites that were created with pixmasters content if i cannot get the 2257 information (doubt that I can)

we'll see though. :)

Guess I didn't put it to well. I just want to get rid of the free sites and tgp's I built using that domain name I plan to delete them all together. I just want to keep my domain name in case I want to use it in the future is all. Damn it will be a year in August that I've been at this and I still know NOTHING.... |dizzy|

Thanks Linkster for your help!

Xeno 2005-06-14 02:19 PM

Just as a side note....if webmasters with sites are pulling their sites off US based link lists or directories, mine is Canadian based which might help to keep some of your sites online. Although, there will still be the issue if you yourself are US based and have content that is not 2257 compliant (which is obtained from a US source); I know there is a mass panic resulting from all of this compliancy...this is where I am glad I am Canadian.

Hang in there peeps...a storm is coming, but eventually it'll clear up.

Linkster 2005-06-14 05:24 PM

sue - that actually works because just pulling down the free sites and tgp stuff will create a 404 so youre good to go :)

reaperdog 2005-06-15 09:55 PM

I'm probably going to be 404ing my pages from needpornnow.com/alldicksnochicks.com come June 23rd, however I don't want to piss anyone off...so I want to know if this would be acceptable:

404 page - just a filter page of niche specific links to sponsors, sponsors pop one exit console to my fake text only tgp.

Is that going too far or within the lines?

xxxjay 2005-06-15 10:45 PM

Jays XXX is not pulling anything.

Get yourself a lawyer and talk to him to see how 2257 really applies to you. This is something 95% of you guys haven't done and there are about 10 guys in the US that I feel are qualified to talk about this. Email me jay@occash.com and I will be happy to give you their names and numbers.

Linkster 2005-06-16 07:41 AM

Jay - most of these people (free site submitters) dont make $5000 in a year that it would take for the retainer to be able to talk to these lawyers - so I think most of them are playing it safe by just 404/302ing the sites until a consensus has been played out - I happen to agree that it really doesnt apply but Im not going to give out legal advice about it
Im also making it so that my free sites and galleries come up 302/404 but with the option to put them right back online with the flick of a switch :)

torone 2005-06-16 08:50 AM

For those of you who might have some of my sites listed on link lists...

I will be removing all of my free picture sites over the next week. This is being done for two reasons:
(1) I have been trying for the last six years to make money off them, with practically no success.
(2) Much of my content is from producers who did not include 2257 information. It doesn't make sense to keep them up and take the chance of becoming an example, when they are not making money.

I will be, instead, be concentrating on text-based sites (stories, etc) and adult merchandise. These areas have been doing much better in terms of profit; and I feel that I can push them up to the 'making a living' level.

Ramster 2005-06-16 09:03 AM

I agree with Jay and Linkster.

People are pulling shit all over the place and could be doing it in haste. Talk to a lawyer. However as Linkster pointed out, old free sites like these might not be making people much money so why bother to take a chance or spend money on a lawyer.

Geez Jay I'm make free sites and submit them. Just now getting into link list area. I can't afford a lawyer I don't make enough at this (yet) to be able to do that. So deleting my old sites that don't get traffic any more makes more sense to me than paying for a lawyer. I don't think this new 2257 is going to pass, so I can just rebuild them. |peace|

Linkster 2005-06-16 10:34 PM

Sue - I would say that is a very good approach - Ive got sites out there that I havent even looked at in 5 years - let alone know which defunct sponsor they go to :)
The important thing for everyone to keep in mind is that - if it was making you money - keep it simple to get back online - heck most big LLs out there not only are going to let you submit them again and get on the "new sites" page again - but they would have pulled them after 6 months anyway - so really no loss - and plenty of room for gain :)

Jay - keep in mind that 95% of the people that read your posts dont make in a year what you and others here make in a two week pay period - and even the ones of us that do have opted to save our money - play it safe - get the same legal advice that all 10 of those lawyers are giving - and when the fear, gloom and doom and the black skys have cleared - everything will be back to normal and we can just ride off into the sunset of life

Damn - now where did I put that scotch bottle

RedCow 2005-06-17 03:10 PM

Hi,

I was wondering what the best way to remove sites is.

1: just remove index.html, which will result in redirecting (because of htaccess) to my main page (hub without pop-ups).

2: replace index.html with a new site saying something like: closed because of 2257 and then a link to my main page.

3: ???

Which one will be preferred by most LL’s?

Thanks,
RedCow

Useless 2005-06-17 03:34 PM

If you must remove sites, I PREFER that you 404 or 302 to a page plain page that states the site/page has been removed with a link to where you'd like the surfer to proceed to. That's my perfect world scenario. My true preference would be that you just wait a little longer and see how the injunction and proceeding court case(s) pan out.

MadMax 2005-06-17 04:33 PM

I've had submitted sites dropping like flies for the last 2 or 3 days, many people are just pulling their entire domains. It amazes me how many of them are redirecting to the sponsor tours thus ensuring themselves a proud place on my blacklist.

Of course I will keep as many sites online as possible but according to most of my sponsors I have to remove their free content :(

I guess it’s better to buy my own stuff in the future then…

lassiter 2005-06-18 11:16 AM

I'll be pulling the following sites with now-disallowed Topbucks content :( early this coming week:

http://www.pussiporn.com/big-tits/

http://www.pussiporn.com/pie01/

http://www.neep-neep.com/asian01/

Links to all mirror entry pages associated with the above directories can be removed anytime.

Thanks!

Midnyte 2005-06-18 10:19 PM

Unfortunately I too will have to pull some of my freesites due to 2257. The vast majority will be staying up, but after the 23rd please know that several sites on the following domains will be re-directing.

xxxsexstory.net
lethalbeauty.com
midnyte.ca
sexy-avs.info
hungmansden.com
eternalkiss.com
loyalslave.com
billytrip.com
free-xxx-fetish-porn.com
midnytesplayhouse.com
free-cheerleader-porn.com
bondagewhore.com
theabbadon.com
gothickittens.com
gothkittens.com
alt-models.com
free-porn-links.info
my-porn-links.info
mature-passion.info
abbadon.net
niteblade.net
xxx-free-picture.net
niteblade.com
free-xxx-asian-porn.com
fuqedupfairytales.com
xxx-free-pictures.info

Thanks :)

natalie 2005-06-19 07:52 PM

So far I have only removed this one, and ONLY the dir, not the whole domain:
http://www.twohot.net/wrap/

PR_Tom 2005-06-20 10:27 AM

Most likely I'll be deleting everything from:

sex-porno-pics.com
xxx-ebony-sex.com
gay-sex-pix.com
4free-porn.com
picum.com
elporn.com

When I do it, there will be no pop-up hells or anything that requires the surfer to do more than click their "back" button to return to your link lists or tgps.

Most likely anyone trying to reach any page on these domains will get an htaccess redirect to an all text warning page on Wednesday at 11:59pm EST.

I know GG and Cleo have old free sites from some of these domains. Not sure who else might.
