Im in the DDave camp here - the link swaps have been pulled over there for a month - no notice from anyone - and they look like they are using the same damn review graphics from a very sucessful review site on the web - so my links to them are gone - and have instituted a policy of not accepting free sites advertising netpondcash

Why not try to sucker your submitters into doing site reviews for you - hell - they sucker people into bigger things than that these days - certainly cheaper than hiring real reviewers for your link list/review site.

Jeremy confirmed to Linkster & me that he has not worked with/for Netpond since December, so at least we know he's not lost his mind :)

I also sent an ICQ to Meatman to see if he can explain what's going on.

i got my spanking freesite listed as #1 review for spanking category freesites, not alot of traffic. like under 20uniques in a week.

To be honest I find some linklist rules much more bizarre than something like 150 word description.

I guess you'll soon see what this is about. Although I must say that Netpond Linklist already sends pretty decent traffic.

It is now 150 characters...I imagine their submissions plunged and their complaints went up. The current rule was posted on 1/9 and I started the original thread on this well before that. 150 characters is not bad...some TGPs are up to around 90 or so I believe.

We changed the format on Netpond link list from a link list to a review site. Where we provide not just pay site reviews but also free site reviews.

We took a major dump in Google losing over 150,000 google hits per day and we belive it had soemthing to do with how the link list was structured in its previous form, hence the rediesign.

We are hoping the new format will regain us our positions within google and the traffic will return over time and we will continually tweak it till we are sure we are not breaking any google rules.

So we ask for some comment on the sites your submitting...big fucking deal lol, have u guys seen some of the rules you have to do to get a link on some sites?

We dont feel letting you guys write your own reviews is any major hardship and if you cant be bothered to do so then its easy solution...Dont fucking submit sites lol, we dont give a shit as everyone else says, its our fucking site and we will make the fucking rules up, that only means if and when we get our google traffic back then there will be more to go arond those sites that have bothered to submit descriptions.

And to get it coorect, its not 100 words its 100 charchters, some of you kiddies should be out flipping burgers at mcdonalds if you get so easily confused:)

re the recip links, we are working on getting everything in, its a technical thing not soemthing we planned on but had some trouble improting allt he old links into the new swcript

We dont fuck with webmasters, never have, never will, all recips will go into the new site and techy is working on writing a fix script.

Mateusz is correct on this one. This whole shouting thing started with the 100 words issue. I've always had (and still have) a lot of admiration for the Netpond LL and now that the descriptions only have to be 100 words I might consider submitting to it again. I don't think you guys wanted to fuck people over like suggested in other threads. But a linklist of that size could have handled things better. If I'm not mistaken most LL's have taken a major drop in SE hits over the last months.

About that "Taken from our submit page" issue. It says that now but it didn't said that before.

yes your right fonz, it was originnaly 150 words, im not sure why it was 150 words but it was changed very soon after to 150 charachters (may have been a simple typo but i wasnt invovled int hat so cant really comment other than what it is now

150 charchters works out to be about 10 to 20 words.

hopefully we are on the riight track to making google happy again, without all the blindish linking that was on the old link list im m sure the 150 charchters will be the most profitable 20 words written by any porn webmaster should we get our google traffic back.

150 characters really isn't all that bad. Might be twice as many as most lists, but still isn't bad. But for you to come here and insult the shit out of everyone else when you don't know what it is they're complaining about, well, that's pretty fucked.

BTW, charchters is typo - words is not.

Meat - it's been over a month since those category trades with other Link Lists were taken offline (and promised to be back online shortly)

Script or not, you could have added them all by hand in that time frame. When you look at it from the other LL owner's POV, you're got a shitload of non-recip'd links pointing at you while we sit here & wonder how long it takes to re-add existing trades.

I hate to say it, but I think you're going to loose all those trades because you guys dragged your feet on getting the links back online :(

Greenie - I dont know how anyone was notified - I know I wasnt - which is what led to me being just a little peeved (to put it mildly) - its not like it was a hell of a lot of links - 18 cat trades on each category which, with me adding links manually, is about 3 hours work on 74 categories (which I know they didnt have close to at the time)
and a total of 36 "friends" trades on the index page which still are not back in - again an easy 20 minute job at the most. Seems if it takes a month to get a script to do a 3 hour job then something is possibly wrong with the "concept planning"?

netpond link list links should be up on the link list now, a script had to be built to merge the old links from old link list script into new format and new review script format. We are still trying to get the main page links up and they should be done in the next few days but cos of how the review script is built its not simply a case of cutting and pasting from old to new.

Sorry for any problems caused feel free to pull our links the link exchanges we have will be honoured regardless of people pulling our recips and thanks for the understanding from everyone LMAO

I can sorta understand trying to reinvent yourself because your SE traffic took a crap, but I think that the person you are getting advice from has little or no knowledge of running a Link List (but maybe your goal is to no longer be a legit Link List?)
