This is a very protective community -- typically not an every-man-for-himself atmosphere. My only issue with you was the second sentence of your first post, which I thought could have been delivered in a softer, friendlier manner. Otherwise, I'm not judging you or PR's reaction or charge back policy. If I worked for PR, or any other business for that matter, I'd work to protect its interests as well. If I knew you better, I'd probably be a better judge of your tone and I would have known whether or not you intended to sound "prickish" or if you're just a very busy matter-of-fact kind of guy.

By the way, I think your grammar is excellent -- especially for a message board.

PS. If you guys could come up with better, more eye-catching, odd-shaped banners for Porn.com and AE's All Adult Pass, I'd appreciate it. (600x300/400 is good for me. :)) It's actually an industry-wide problem. Multi-site banner ads simply suck balls. They never seem to shout out what a great deal you're getting or that the site advertised is any different from a standard site.

Yes, I do consider Pimp Roll to be my friends. Yes, they do have link codes with cross sales, but they are one of the few that also offer link codes without them.

I fail to see how anyone is selling out by promoting a large, respected sponsor like PimpRoll and no one could possibly care less about what your opinion on the matter is. strange thread, I know PR tom is good people, and I talked to PR dave a couple of times and he seems like a straight shooter

JD is a good submitter and trustable in my book

I never had any troubles with Pimproll, and adult elite I made a lot of money with them in the day

shit just happens in this biz

I learned early on when stuff like this happens to just let it go
or work something out, atleast the PR people are willing to find out what happened

Whenever I talk to newer webmasters, I nudge them over towards PimpRoll (among a very small handful of others) because I have always been treated fairly. PimpRoll is one of the first sponsors to give webmasters the choice - consoles/no consoles, cross sales/no cross sales, and even different trial pricing. As Greenie noted, they have lots of content and lots of sites to promote. Slam them if you want, Bob, they are good people in my book. Oh, wait - you don't build sites or own a link list or do anything even slightly tainted with the air of adult, do you? Then what are you doing constantly hanging around?

While I see terse phrases from a very busy guy in Hit Man's posts, I don't see the rudeness - just brevity. This doesn't make the whole program suck, or even the individual. I am honestly and truly touched that this was dealt with so rapidly and on such a personal level. Friends standing up for friends and ironing things out- WOW.

I do know what sites I will be promoting on a more regular basis. Thank you all for a great lesson.

Anyway. Greenie thanks for taking the time to work this through. What you think about Sponsors means a lot to me. This thread caught me in an awful mood yesterday and I hate it when big guys push the good guys.

Especially around here. It felt like a wrongful public hanging or something.

damn...I just got back from a 12 day vacation to florida...looks like I missed some crazy shit while I was riding fan boats in the everglades looking for alligators in 80 degree weather and hanging out at disneyworld with a 5 day park hopper pass. I promote pimproll and haven't had any problems with them so I'm glad this worked out (i do wish they had better promotional content or I had access to the sites to make my own) but I would say the big take away from this thread for me is that it's important to be active in the community and build your credibility through posts and submitting. I'm a lowkey member of the board and sometimes wonder what the outcome would be if I were accused of cheating and had no way to present my case or any credibility to make an appeal. It'd be a shame for some false accusation to get someone blackballed and put out of business. As a foot soldier in this industry i appreciate the forum more than ever for the opportunity it gives and i especially appreciate some of the senior members ability to advocate and shed light on subjects that aren't always so black and white...I'm glad to read that everything seems to be working out for all interested parties and a good sponsors got some good feedback about it's termination policy.

For what it's worth Jack Daniels is a trusted submitter and valued trade partner. I've never seen him do anything that was not on the up and up.

As for Pimp Roll, I don't understand why they would not send a warning message saying that they will close an account within 2 weeks, or 30 days, or some such time due to charge backs. Then send another e-mail once they've closed an account. They have all of the webmaster's contact information and certainly it would not be that difficult for their program to generate such letters.

I have not been around here in a while but I am still doing my thing... I would advise people to look at this thread from a very different perspective than the posters which of who I have worked with. He's a good webmaster, no doubt. I can definetely say that I would work with Pimproll and Adult Elite even after this thread because I know they are not out here cheating ppl. It appears Jack got caught up in a simple misunderstanding. But, after 3 sales if you send me 3 chargebacks I'm gonna close your account too. It's only good business. Come on folks, this could of been resolved privately. .02

P.S. Just for a little proof they're not out to get ya, I sent them over 1100 sales in 08 and they didn't kill my account yet! |jester|

When I started this thread, it wasn't my intention to turn people against PimpRoll. I felt mistreated at some points and I just wasn't happy the way things ended.

Before I came here, I really tired to work out things in privite, so I discussed things with them on ICQ and in the end my only option was to pull out their links and move on. And as Cleo said before this isn't pleasant at all :)

Like it's been said, sometimes good accounts get caught in the ban filters. I'd like to think contacting the sponsors and laying things out would address the issue, but sometimes that's not true either. :(
