and yes any new members you sign up , I would check out their affiliate program and sign up for it. Si I'm expecting your going out to see WHERE you can make the most $$$ of your members.

No, we just want to play poker. We don't want any prizes donated...all we want are the tables, cards and chips. Just the way it started out. My point about making money from our traffic is not that we want any money from it...we just don't want to pay someone to take it.

Oh man - I do love the spin put on all of this.

1 - It was announced to everyone on March 3rd - http://www.oprano.com/msgboard/index...T&f=14&t=9878& - that you had to go sign up to ATP. The referral program was NOT in place at that time & I'm sure a number of people from various boards got their new accounts without going thru any referral program.

2 - The $65/tournament option is only if you take the $2000/month option & have a tournament each & every day. We are not looking to do that, so we'd have to take the $1000 option which would give us 4 tournaments a month at $250 each (yes, some month there will be 5 Tuesday's so it'd only be $200 - yippee)

3 - You came to us to spam your poker tournament - no one asked you to post this thread - http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...&threadid=3869 - on Jan. 14. So please drop the sob story about how you go around to all these boards & draw attention to this & that & the other thing because YOUR REFERRAL CODE IS ON ALL THESE POSTS!

4 - My 1st reply to the email you sent out about the costs for the tournaments was "You're nuts" Jim took the sensible approach & sent you the following:
"Pat
I just have to weigh in here. Every poker program I have seen in this business, pays for traffic. Yours is the first I have seen that asks to be paid for our traffic. I have spoken to several of our tournament players and several of them play with "real" money. All other poker programs pays the referrer a percentage of that. Yours is basically doing just the reverse.
We started doing the poker tournament just for fun. We understood that you were making money from the "real" money players. We gave away a small prize just for the hell of it. If you would like to continue to have GreenguyandJim traffic. Take your options below and pretend we are you and you are us. We will never pay anyone for us to send them traffic.
Jim"

To this, you replied:
"I completly understand. I didn't even want to send you that below. you can see why I wanted to. thanks Jim for your comments.
Pat"

So please drop this whole "I'm shocked" thing you have going on.

5 - We have another poker site that will be setting us up so that we can have a free weekly tournament, which is all we want & they are willing to work with us on many things. They are also not going to charge us, but exactly the opposite - they will be paying us based on referral codes. I could really care less if we make a dime off of this, but it'll be a cold day in hell when we fucking give you a dime for something we can get for free.

I have to agree with GreenGuy and Jim. This is ass backwards. Why would they want to pay someone for something that they were invited to participate in for free?

Jim please let your readers know that it was NOT Choice Poker that decided to charge. It was Adult Poker Tour that is charging. Where in the hell does it say once that Choice Poker is charging?
Yes, we should have said that Adult Poker Tour, which uses the Choice Poker software & poker rooms, is now wanting to charge outrageous prices for the tournaments. :D

There are thousands of drug dealers across the country who don't care "why", they just count the money. :)

There was a referral program in place March 1st and I signed up for it on that date. I have a post on another board dated March 1st announcing that the new software was available which you can see here.

Are you a drug dealer? I'm certainly not one.

It's funny how on March 5th APTour posted on Oprano:
"You'll be able to sign up at http://www.AdultPokerTour.com/Affiliates/ , but like Pat said, it will still be a day or two before we're 100% ready."

To me, that means that the affiliate program was NOT ready like I stated above.

Or it means that Oprano is full of lies :D

Carrie 2004-03-14 12:52 AM

When I first signed up he told me it wouldn't be ready until "tomorrow" (this was the 29th) - see the bottom of the thread here. I waited a few hours and the download was working through the new url.
I'm not going to accuse anyone of lying, I realize that things come up, especially with software and new releases of anything.
I'm surprised you'd say such a thing, even jokingly.

Carrie, Greenguy has a good relationship with Oprano and Serge. People need to lighten up a bit. |shake|
