Yeah, I got that in an email along with a duplicate for ULUST. I was trying to remember if they were one and the same. ULUST was down for a while a ways back, but I don't think as long as this for traffic cash gold.

Charlie 2010-09-23 04:30 PM

Yeah, just so you know, I emailed them too and they get back to you pretty fast just so everyone knows.

ArtWilliams 2010-09-25 04:52 PM

This is what I now get:

Warning: sybase_select_db(): Sybase: Unable to connect in /web/php/database/database_connection.obj on line 45

Warning: sybase_select_db(): Sybase: A link to the server could not be established in /web/php/database/database_connection.obj on line 45

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /web/php/database/database_connection.obj:45) in /web/content/corp/trafficcashgold.com/htdocs/login.php on line 120

Complete incompetence!

From pieces of conversations, and the delays, here's my theory:

disk crash at host on sybase server, no backups
drive sent out for recovery - this is not a quick process if it is a media rather than mechanical failure
site that was transferred to new hosting company, database configs not altered, machine continues to try to contact sybase server which is offline (hence the 27 second timeout)

If it is at a drive recovery company, they give so little feedback and you have no idea where they are in the process until they are done. The sales rep will tell you things are progressing, we're at x%, should be done Friday, etc. Until you get that tracking number, you just don't know when you're going to get the drive back.

My webhost is suppose to make weekly backups of all my sites (adult and mainstream). I continue to make manual monthly backups in case something happens to their operation. I don't want to sued by clients or lose income streams.

It is hard to believe that this could happen to a major adult player. Just goes to show you that behind some of these seemingly professional programs are sites held together with spit and duct tape.

I have my server setup to do nightly MySQL dumps plus all my domains are synced via Rsync to a Firewire drive attached to Mac mini in my home each night.

It seems some people don't understand the value of backing up.

petergg2 2010-09-26 10:52 AM

but maybe they have pay for backup's and backup's was not working ...

sometimes shit happend ;)

petergg2 2010-10-06 02:51 PM

lol its almost 1 month and they still not working ...

I think there are better ways to close affiliate programss than that ...

someone use them still ?

Just curious. Has anyone been able to log in here with their original ID yet? Giving complete latitude, I'm pretty sure even the 3-5 days thing is up.

Cleo 2010-10-21 08:10 AM

I knew they were toast, just had a feeling.

I'm so happy that I pulled their links a few weeks into this.

Check out their contacts page it's DeeCash's people.

Well, at least you can log in now and probably they will have an update on nifty stats soon, but yes you are right, this really really sucks. Dee Cash has pretty much screwed up every program they've bought and a couple of real good ones were in there.

Right now it looks like they are at 100 dollar mins but I'm betting they go up to 200 like all their other programs pretty quickly. I've rarely seen a program bought out by Dee Cash that kept converting

Oh well, it looks like the porn world is going the way of the video store market that started out with the ma and pa stores and ending up in that blockbuster vaccuum

Maybe I'll start an online church or something LOL

The big question for those who have kept their links up is whether they will work with the new system.

Well I left some up I didn't even know about and they seem to be recording so I'm assuming some are going to work for others too.

In case it matters to someone, I did see one of the DeeCash people post somewhere else that they're going to allow merging of payments so if someone promotes several of their programs they can hit that $200 minimum more easily and get one payment for all signups.

That would certainly make them a lot more appealing. When did they say this was going to happen, and how does one go about merging them?

By the way, any ideas how this affect ULust and their programs if they were indeed TCG as I was informed they were

bDok 2010-10-21 12:37 PM

wow. Ugh. Time to go review a bunch of stuff on this. I just wish that all these programs purchased by deecash would tie into the same payment system. Sucks to have outstanding payments all over the place. Bah.

No ideas about any of it, aside from noticing that post in a thread that really wasn't about that at all. So my suggestion is to contact the folks at DeeCash since they're the ones who can answer those questions for you.

:)

My suggestion is to pull all their links and move on.

Amen. Any association with DeeCash is reason enough to pull links, if I hadn't done so already due to the extended outage.

PhoneMistress 2010-10-21 06:22 PM

I'm amazed this thread is still going on. Ditto on what Cleo said. I did that when their site was down for 72 hours.

Charlie 2010-10-22 07:16 AM

Anyways, they did get back to me about being able to merge accounts under Paxum so I'm waiting to hear back once more as they left some programs off their list and not sure of the system even after getting that emails.

I'm also concerned with eliminating those traps and consoles if possible since if I can merge I might be reaching mins just from my old links.

These guys look to be the evil empire of the internet so you might as well try and find out if there is a way to work off of them if at all possible. It's only going to get worse as their long arm reaches out.

Let me know if you need any custom promo materials.
The BBW site is doing pretty well but then so is all the big tit stuff.

Charlie 2010-11-01 08:35 PM

Just as an update, this whole DEE CASH merge thing is a complete crock of shit. You still have to reach your 200 dollar min on those shit programs that don't convert so It's completely pointless. They just mean they can make all the payments to one account like it means something LOL.

Yes, this is what I'm talking about - complete crock of shit. You will of course be forced to promote all their programs due to consoles and crosssales, but you have to reach your 200 dollar mins in each program individually.

As always, they are a rip off and never intend to be anything different.

petergg2 2010-11-02 11:51 AM

but on TCG is still 100$ min
anyway my webmaster refferals have disapear in new TCG ;)

So are a couple of their other newer hostile takeovers until they get enough affiliates promoting them at which time I'm fairly certain they will increase that minimum and pull all their fhg's and links to quote "upgrade their system" like they did with the ones they are quote "no longer actively promoting" after you do all the work and get everything just the way you want it.

Anyway, I can't imagine anyone with any intelligence will "actively promote" these chumps, so if you are going to, at least your competition should be minimal.

ompornnet 2010-11-08 02:09 AM

may be trafficashgold's system updated and have a problem
now it ok ?

petergg2 2010-11-14 09:12 AM

now is like You said $200 min

Charlie 2010-11-14 10:54 AM

LOL, what did I tell you? Complete pieces of shit. One of those Dee Cash assholes even had me thinking he was going to merge all the payments into one site thinking I would sign up for the other sites.

Just remember, they broke their deal with you, so all's fair now. |angry|

LOL. They would say just about anything so people would promote them. Possibly they will blame some script flaw for not being able to follow up on this.

Well, that would be the only reason to promote them. There sites are horrible. They even have content on sites that they buy that are the same as sites they've already owned or bought LOL. I'm not even sure they realize it. |attention
