Because if you pay for your own hosting then you do not have a host for a partner.

For the record that $49 plan comes with 75 gigs of BW. It is a good starter plan. BW is dirt cheap now. Personally I pay for way more then I find I can use each month since it has gotten so cheap that it is no longer even thought about.

That's why Revshare Hosting is banned on all my traffic pumps.

I do not wish to debate about it.

I'm glad you are efficient enough with your bandwidth that you don't even have to think about it...but that doesn't mean that RevShare Hosting is a bad program. Honestly, most of my more productive webmasters go thru 75gigs of bandwidth before lunch everyday...they would melt down a $49/month server, I'm sure it has older processor technology and next to nothing for ram. Many or our top webmasters are posting 3 x 1.5+mb movies and could never survive on the crap servers that are out there on the budget server plans like that.

OK lets cut to the chase here there is nothing wrong with revshare hosting at all its just the fact that some link sites choose not to list any revshare or freehosted sites :) So but the issue at hand is that webmasters ignore the rules in hopes of not getting caught and this is causing the problem

Look at the end of the day, I have proved I am not on a free host and that I have all the powers of a webmaster on any other host such as webbair, national-net, M3 etc...

I would hope anyone considering banning me for using a freehost will now reconsider.

My sites are of quality in order to get listed at many link sites and to be honest I'm not looking at making any enemies. this thread is turning bitchy and to be honest this is enough. i have proved I'm not lying. I asked for some advice, I got it. I fucked up and i'm sorry for pissing anyone off.

Cleo and anyone else interested I am intending on using a new paid host for all my future sites as I can't be doing with this headache to be honest.

If you want to blacklist me is ok. I would prefer it not being there and hope that you will reconsider, but if not I can accept it.

Is anyone against me submitting to them using another domain on another host?

You chose to be shady and hide links on your pages. I'm not staying up for the next week looking what other kinds of shady stuff you are doing. Timed redirects, htaccess stuff, timed consoles, lots of ways to cheat. You catch a webmaster doing one of them and I'm suppose to now just forget about it, not.

This isn't Jersey, it isn't illegal only if you get caught.

I hope you are not lumping me in with any people that are immediately crucifying Dan!

Your default 404 pages are one reason I dont want to take revsharehosting sites.... but the main reason is that too many unknown webmasters use your style of hosting to try and push the LL rules limits.. (I would like to take them though.. of all the freehosting setups your looks like one of the best ideas to me)

Dan: I agree with you that what you are doing isnt freehosting.. but you should know very well that MANY linksites dont want to take revshare hosted sites... Cleo says she has given you special treatment,... I have done the same and I bet a few other LLs have too... you work hard, make reasonable sites and are well known enough that everyone would think you KNOW the score and therefore can be trusted. You have even been allowed to push the limits with rules for a long time... and you do push the limits that I allow normally. I personally see no reason for people to ban you or remove sites... but I have to say I am surprised you havent made sure the people you have linktrades with known the situation.. the main reason no one has noticed this in so long must simply be that everyone trusts you and doesnt check your sites like that.. people may be feeling a bit duped in some cases.

I appreciate the friendships I have made and in no way was I intent on burning bridges with anyone. I should have told people my host had been changed, maybe it would have stopped this from happening with the same intensity.
I show exactly the same leniancy on all of my link sites to many of you webmasters, that's one of the advantages to having made friends isn't it?
My link site rules are by far one of the most relaxed regardless of their size and they will always be like that.

In regard to the standard revshare accounts sometimes not being up to scratch I totally agree and I can see why some people block them. On the other side of the coin is as you have agreed it is fairly obvious that the hosting I have is by far not free, hence I recieve the support that I do. The way that Maestro stepped in yesterday to help me was not something that a freehost would do.

I had no intentions of 'duping' anyone and nobody has any reasons to mistrust me (regardless of how I am getting slagged off now), I am no threat to anyone and nobody has EVER had any problems with me in the past. I am a fair guy, I don't generally give anyone hassle and I don't create a fuss. This is the first and last incident I have ever had like this in my whole webmaster career.

I deliberately submitted one site yesterday to see who was following this thread and see who I have gained bans from. From what I have seen I have grounds to say Thank You to you all for not being narrow minded to automaticaly think I have been lying.

You have been the only one to be so harsh and not really listen to any reason to be honest I don't see the need. You have made your feelings VERY clear and you have stuck a knife in, I think this is enough now.

From your post on the board I see that you are not happy with the standard 404's of revshare hence I have changed my 404 on smileys links (where all my free sites are hosted) and Wild Unicorns to a different one to prove that I own them.
