So Raw Alex has lost 3 lbs & I've lost 1.5 - unless his scale is in kilograms? :D

cd34 2005-02-25 01:18 PM

We have an unofficial entry into the 'Greenguy and Raw Alex Weight Challenge'

http://wheresgabbo.com/weightchallenge/

He advised me that you shouldn't reload the page because it makes his weight shift and its not fair.

Jim 2005-02-25 01:25 PM

A new contestant, nice. You need to take 5 lbs off for his clothes and shoes :)

PR_Tom 2005-02-25 01:28 PM

Wow, Gabbo must have solid gold bones! Weighty lil chunk he is!

You guys are actually inspiring me.. I stepped on the scale the other day and was over 200! Not good for me.

Now to decide.. treadmill or nordic trac... hmmm

cd34 2005-02-25 01:31 PM

he told me his target was 2 pounds a day. We shall see tomorrow.

MrMaryLou 2005-02-25 02:41 PM

Ah so gabbo is a bbm :P

Useless 2005-02-25 02:52 PM

In order for this competition to be fair, everyone should have to wear Gabbo shoes.

Do you imagine that Gabbo's exercise routine is just several hours of dancing the hully gully?

It`s true I saw Gabbo he was running late
He needed help losing weight
I said start smoking and gave him mine
I quit last month so I will be fine
I tried to get a pic to share
But just as fast he upped from the chair
he said I don`t mean to be rude Robbo
And something about fishing and cold beers in Cabo

cd34 2005-02-26 01:30 AM

I note that Gabbo dropped a pound to 219.4

That's really cool. :D

His weight must be fluctuating for some reason.

Greenguy 2005-02-26 03:07 PM

Fuck - I wish I was.

The day I gained .5 I ate a big tub of popcorn at the movies.

Yesterday we ordered food & I had a big sub - ham, turkey, bacon & even mustard instead of mayo.

I am working out a bit - doing sit ups (did 10 the 1st day - up to 35 today) and walking for 20-30 minutes on the treadmill - maybe I'm building muscle? :D

now me laughing but its the thruth muscles can make you gain weight, although i dont believe you made muscles, ....oke stu<-----is pushing again, so again she goes on her knees and kiss GG funny socks............. :D

RawAlex 2005-02-26 04:06 PM

GG, at 190, I still have much that can go. The "guide" says I am suppose to be 165 (not a chance, I would have to give up eating completely for months at a time), but 170-175 is realistic.

Muscle is heavier than fat, and if you are doing muscle building exercises at the same time as trying to lose weight, you might find yourself at a plateau long before you reach ideal weight. You are better doing aerobic stuff rather than anything that actually builds muscle. You can use up hundreds of extra calories per day and really balance it out.

Quote:

Q. How many calories make 1 pound of weight?

About 3,500 calories adds up to about 1 pound. This applies whether they are food calories coming in, or calories (burned by exercise) going out.

If you eat 3,500 calories more than your body needs, you will put on about 1 pound. If you use up 3,500 calories more than you eat, you will lose about 1 pound in weight.
So you can make it up any way you like it... hard work or shorter meals... I am on the shorter meals thing right now... I might actually have to do some exercise in the end ;-)

Alex
