I fortunately Have only made one AVS site which Made as much as $1000. per half a month , but never did much with it and it has gone down to about $50. a Month. which i will not be getting any more check as it was a site under Adult Check.

It's good to see so many support Greenie here which is better than I got on TLA's board when I announced that I was tier 1. GG do you sell traffic?

Greenguy 2003-11-13 12:17 AM

NotThatKevin - no, but I guess I buy traffic now - LOL

We are in business, we are all competing against each other, business is business.

Personally I don't think that there will be much left of AC, if anything, when the dust settles.

Seems like AC was going to fuck everyone one way other the other as Visa is fucking them. I think in the end everyone is going to end up fucked including the ones that have made a deal with AC.

Anyway it is visa fucking AC and AC fucking its webmasters. Those that made a deal with AC had nothing to do with everyone getting fucked and is just a business decision on their part.

I'm not sure that I would have wanted to climb on what to me looks like a sinking ship, but then I don't know any of the details.

A whole lot of fucking going on and no one is having any fun. :(

lassiter 2003-11-13 12:36 AM

Well, some lube would have been nice.

Oh but lassiter, dont you see that would have shown an act of decency towards the webmasters. Can't have that when you are in the midst of a royal fucking! |jester|

Ramster 2003-11-13 02:10 AM

I personally don't blame any webmasters still at AC. Why would I? AC told them they could be part of this new plan and they'd get to keep all their rebills (lots of money each month) OR they could decide to not be part of this new plan and they would get Shit! Bye bye rebills!

It's a no brainer.

Let's be pissed at AC for being the asshole thieves that they are for keeping rebills we all made sales on and now Not paying us anymore for them. But there's is no reason to be pissed at any AC webmaster who are left.

The webmasters that knew about adult check had to sign an NDA before they found out what was going on. There was no way anyone could say anything.

I wish I could remember where I saw the entire contract for them but I can't. If I can remember it, I will post it.

urb 2003-11-13 06:51 AM

You should be looking to the root of the problem..... not having a go at each other.

There's an opportunity in everything if you know where to look.

Jim 2003-11-13 06:53 AM

I always have a problem when I get an NDA to sign. I never want to do it but curiousity always gets the better of me.

Bottom line...the webmasters that received this NDA are not to blame, Adult Check is... They are screwing the lower 90% of all webmasters with them.

I would place any blame squarely at the feet of the credit card companies..... whilst I don't agree with what AC have done.... I bet it's their only route to stay in business.

Never a truer word spoken :)

A friend of mine who is also a Gold webmaster asked me what he should do so I told him to dump all his golds members areas in one domain like this
/members/site1
/members/site2 etc etc

He signed up with Verotel and he ICQ'd me tonight (Thursday here) and said his "Pay Site" had already earned over $1,000. Good for him and like urb says there is always an opportunity.

urb 2003-11-13 07:33 AM

Thanks NotThatKevin :)

Every business/industry I've ever had anything to do with has gone through set-backs and problems.

The main priority for any business is to stay in business.

URB
Have you read the entire contract. I remembered the board it was on and it appears to have been pulled. AC could have done things that would not have screwed 90% of their webmasters but they chose a different route. They want to make the top 10% webmasters happy and don't give a rat's ass about the rest.

I don't agree with what they have done, as I posted earlier.

Out on a limb here, but does anyone have a copy of their TOS?
Since I can't login anymore, I don't have one.

I'm so pissed at Green Guy. The weather sucks outside and if GG didn't live in Buffalo it would be warm every where. I had to wait in line at DMV and it's GG's fault. If he would do things differently then they wouldn't have lines. I'm fat and it's his fault. Money is green and should be purple but NOOOOOO he won't change his name to Purple Guy. Everything is his damn fault.

Is it only a matter of time before all avs's have the same fate? To be fair, I knew something was going on as I watched my AC checks get smaller and smaller over the last year as I worked harder and harder. I'm just really bitter right now. I've been working for months on updating my gold sites with the new scripts, making them more SE friendly, etc. in the hopes that I could recapture some of my lost revenue.
If I had been selected for tier two, my plan for staying in business would be as follows: 1) I would keep promoting my adult check sites as usual, but I would change the links on the pages to send my traffic to the relevant tier two niche tours instead of to my signup page (which no longer works). That way, I'm still getting my rebills on my old sites and hopefully making new sales (and new rebills) promoting adult check. Keep the money coming in for as long as I can. 2) I would make duplicate front ends for my old adult check sites and submit those sites to another AVS. That way, my old sites can start making money from a new source while my money from AC is still coming in, on the same sites that AC is still paying me for. My hope would be that I could replace the AC income from another source before the AC income ran out. It's even conceivable that I could successfully maintain my tier two status, making new AC sales and rebills, AND make equivalent money from another AVS from the same sites, thus doubling my income just by going to the trouble of making duplicates of my front ends. Just a suggestion...
