not sure if you are aware or not, but the new stats program goes freaking hay-wire in safari for the mac.

it asks for your login and password, and beings to load the stats page...

you can see all you little info and statistics... but then....

i fucking asks you for your password repeatedly until it crashes the browser :(

and you cant close the window or by pass it in any way... just thought i would give you guys a heads up.

Extreme John 2003-12-11 12:39 PM

Hey bret im actually hoping someone else has a Mac so i can see what the issue might be (not blaming JUST your computer ofcourse), but just to get a good concept of what might be causing this issue.

Evil Dick, I have the tech working on this issue and hope to have an answer to you through the admin sometime soon.

Did you ever find anything out about this? It still doesn't show my past active webmaster referrals in the stats. My ticket was marked as "read" last week but no one told me anything.

I do not normally use Safari I'm a Mozilla user, but I did just try it in Safari and yeah it doesn't work, just keeps on asking for the user ID/Password over and over again. The worse part is even hitting cancel doesn't help and you end up having to force quit Safai. :(

Personally I wish that Apple had based their browser on Mozilla code and not KDE's code, but I don't run Apple, just get paid to support its product. ;)

Safari is based on the *nix KDE's browser

Cleo, thank you for finalizing this issue for me I will also create a ticket on this as well.

Evil Dick, yes I did read your Support Ticket last week when you sent it in, I did that so i could get the details of if over to our Tech department, Im just awaiting a final response in regards to this, I have it on my Daily To Do List for tommorow, so Ill give you an update via the Ticket area once we go over it tommorow, sorry it's taking some extra time, not sure what the hold up is just yet.

John you may want to pick up a cheap Mac in order to test your stuff, depends on how much you care about your Mac traffic.

You can find eMacs for under $700
http://www.apple.com/emac/
Just be sure to get a decent about of memory, 384 would be the minimum.

Either that or you can bug me to check you stuff. ;)

Extreme John 2003-12-15 07:28 PM

Cleo I have been saying for years I wanted to shove a bad ass Mac in the office to test stuff on to make sure the Mac traffic was getting love, but you know kinda out of site out of mind, I do need to chuck one in here. BUT until than.... Pssssstttttt Hey Cleo, can you check ________
