Hello
I think obviously not good name for the representative of the available money of metal. Except that it will be obviously asshoel YaFoool |
Hi metal cash guys, I joined your program yesterday and talked with one of you on icq with a couple of questions I had, and I wont be promting your program.. insight of this thread, I'll leave the links I put up but thats about it....
|
If he were to stop right there, personally I think that's bad repping.
After he said he wasn't interested in galleries he offered him links to paysites which he is pushing right now. How is that wrong? Quote:

All you've managed to do is make more work for assholes like me. Now, every time someone on the board asks what sort of experience we've had with Metal Cash, I have to point them to this thread. That that copying and pasting and can tire me out. |

I will not come here and apologize for something that I don't think was done wrong. |

I guess I will chime in...
I have run affiliate programs from 1996-3 years ago the 1st of this month. And yes, I have used icq to both offer new sites and programs to existing affiliates and to entice new affiliates. But never, have I been rude to anyone that said no to me. Even if they were rude to me, I apologized for bothering them and moved on. Never, would I ever consider calling an existing affiliate an asshole. That is just bad for business. And, I would have never considered contacting the existing affiliate without knowing everything I could about not only their traffic but also them, personally. Nothing works quite as well as asking about the family. Knowing Greenie the way I do, if your sites worked well for him, he would have jumped all over them and promoted them to death. The other thing I would have done as the owner of that program would have to come here and to apologize for their employee, not stick up for them. The problem with Marketing people that don't know how to market is the attitude mentioned earlier. The affiliate is not our customer. While technically that is true, they should still be treated that way. Affiliates are your bread and butter. And if some of the linklist owners here (and there are a lot), decided to make it a rule, "If you promote MetalCash, you will not be listed", how much do you think that would hurt? This entire problem started with someone trying to market that really has no idea what they are doing. |
When do we begin referring to MetalCash as @!not$|?>?

This thread is excellent SE fodder for both 'Metal Cash' and 'MetalCash' searches. |
Maybe I was reading it wrong, but you said all he needed to do was say no thanks... Is this not what he said? Maybe Obvious said it?
Quote:
He said "no thanks". He was trying to say no, and be nice... I have some advice for you guys... If some one says something bad about you, your program, or the people who work for you. Say you are sorry for what ever problem that may have been caused, and that you will fix it, or try to fix it. Do not go to a webmaster board with tons of people who could be sending you traffic, and making you money. To start talking shit about one of the guys the board is named after. |
this thread is great :)

Wow! This thread became a party! And quite an enlightening one at that! Kinda interesting to watch a program burn bridges in a public forum :D
I'm not even going to repeat all the obvious things...it's already been said so many times and OBVIOUSLY isn't getting through |banghead| Ummm...Josh, if you think this thread hasn't cost you affiliates...you might just be more clueless than your monkey boy |crazy| Agreed UW, let's make sure this thread pops up on searches for Metal Cash :D |
|popcorn|
BTW MetalCash is now banned from all my traffic pumps. Have a nice day and on with the show :D |
Metalcash,
making complete asses of themselves on the only board that is pure business, so everyone will see it (unlike other boards where it would get burried with "HOT OR NOT LOL (PICS) threads". i fucking LOVE this thread. |
I have used this thread to create a new business plan inspired by what I have learned today
1) create an affiliate program 2) insult webmasters via ICQ 3) when he defends himself publicly, insult everyone who agrees with him 4) profit what do you guys think? |

All Ive got to say after reading this and remembering the last go-around with this "team" I had to laugh out loud
http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...ad.php?t=11361 Oh yeah - and this is where LL owners outted them for using multiple personalities to submit free sites http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...&threadid=7571 |
linkster hits with the double kill A+

Wow, nice to see this thread has taken on a life of it's own. It is also really funny to watch people try to squirm away from the obvious.
Captain Obvious: I think the most obvious thing at play here is that you very likely live in your mom's basement, aren't old enough to get a drink in Vegas, and have the social skills of poorly formed concrete (IE: none). You started uninformed, moved along to rude, stepped through individually insulting and moved right on to insulting pretty much all potential affiliates for the program. I would have to say that Josh is getting good value for money here, provided you are paying him. Your name calling insulting "asshole" and "asshat" might not raise an eyebrow over at go fark thyself, but here you are pretty much done, reduced to the level of unamusing child banging the back of my seat on an airplane. Josh, let me give you a business tip: When your "staff" starts calling your affiliates names, the best choice usually is to come in, explain that your new affiliate guy is, well, uncultured, and apologize for his potty mouth. Coming here and standing behind his insults and rude behavior and adding your own on the top tells me that the captain learned his affiliate skills from you. Sadly, you had no skill, so he learned nothing. I am totally shocked that I can type metalcash without it being turned into ******** at this point. Metalcash sites go off my acceptable program lists as well. Alex |

Given the history, this thread isn't really so surprising now. This team lives and dies by skirting the edges, then simply shutting down when too many bad decisions mount up. The good news is...with the kind of business savvy displayed here...they very likely won't be around long. |
WOW!! I just read all the posts!
Called Greenguy an asshole |angry| Put down affiliates, talking like you don't need us. Insulted a lot of other people from this board. You have only screwed yourselves, and you'll realize that soon enough. That fact that you won't apologize to Greenguy is so messed up. I would never want to be an affiliate for your program, but that's ok cause you don't need us anyways.........|pokefun
I read 5 pages of hilarity, cired tears of laughter, read it all over again & then noted to myself said program are yoyo's.
-N |
this post has it all ... the plot, the drama and the BIG BANG at the end ...
so after 5 pages I'm ready to take'em off but then realized I didn't even signup for them :-) lucky me |
Here is another program I would never touch, oh wait......they don't need me anyways :D :D
|
This is just fuckin unbelievable. I went to metalcash.com to check them out and noticed that CaptainObvious was hired just 10 days ago. Exactly what are the criteria the HR department use when hiring empoyees:
1) Must be able to cause drama on adult webby boards 2) alienate many current and potential affiliates 3) piss off large LL webmaster affiliates |badidea

Oh, almost forgot... "Metal Cash" ... "MetalCash" ... "METAL CASH" :D |
I mean I think that this metalcash review serves as a great discussion for metal cash review and it gives metal cash a lot to think about. I mean if you're wondering whether or not metal cash, also known as metalcash at metalcash.com may be cheaters or non payers or something, this thread would be a great way to find out by reading this thread especially if you're coming from google or other engines.

NOTE: Not slamming EVERYONE who is young, but this may explain some of the lack of business sense.... From another board: Posted January 4th by uvort (aka Josh): "Just turned 20 2 months ago" |huh |
Maybe we need a minimum age requirement. Not just for posting here, but for being an adult webmaster. Or at least for running paysites and affiliate programs.
Then again, maybe we just need a test. Something like "draw lines to connect the webmaster names on the right-hand column with the websites they own in the left-hand column." |

Please let me know if I am wrong. I think these guys are just misderecting their frustrations...and this biz is full of them. Like when I started out nobody wanted to trade links with me but I did not call them assholes...I understood and said: thank you and when I get more traffic I hope you change your mind |headbang
