Damn, just got my first batch of sites submitted using the "new LOR rules" and it was a bitch. Probably fucked up a few submits along the way. Kept forgetting to put the index page URL in the first position and the main page URL in the recip location position. |loony| And since I had the recip table on the main page quite a few scripts barfed and said I didn't have a recip on the page submitted. |waves| I think I'll go back to the old rules and keep it simple. |thumb But hey, it was an adventure!

Hell - just change the things that work for you - I'm giving it a little thought before I jump in - but expect my first "new format" site to be pretty close to what I already do. Of course, there are a few items that I will use for sure.

LD 2008-08-06 05:57 PM

I've got two sites accepted by LOR, and I'll be sending to most of the people in this thread. They're not so different as my old ones, they just use hosted galleries, and I added some I-frames and of course the lovely movie room flash banners. I've got a few submits to my list, too...so far so good.

When I look at the old "format" alongside the new ones, the new ones really stick out...I can't help but think surfers will be attracted to them because of the eye candy aspect.

Yeah,I hear that.I think I'm going to keep my old style until I figure something out here.I think reviewers accept my sites quickly and I don't want them to think I'm doing all kinds of crazy shit now.I don't know.At the very least,I get 2 submits to Green Guy a day and that's more then enough reason to be happy! Reguardless |greenguy| |yourock

I submitted my first new site under the LORTS banner yesterday, and have not yet had it rejected by any of the 48 lucky recipients (knocking on wood). I had some fears on this one because my title is not in English, but 99% of the site is. What I am liking is the nice balance of established LLs to newer ones. Not all of my recips go to sites in this thread, so I have not changed much at all.

The biggest change for me seems to be in the number of sites that welcome my submissions and those sweet surprizes in my PM box with invites to be a trusted submitter. Y'all don't know how long or hard I have worked to get here, and it just feels good. Thank all of you LL Owners so much for the recognition and encouragement.

Actually you guys wanna know the best way to do this without the headaches? Just make sites exclusive to Link -o-rama and one more of his link lists!
I think this was his plan from the start before some dickhead decided to be cute and start a thread about sites that accept LOR rules! |couch|

I'm not a mind reader, but somehow I don't think that was the plan. What would the point be in just trading traffic with yourself |huh
I mean, there is a point to doing that, but I can't see the point in doing it with LL's.

He did it to make me look like the guy who refuses to accept change. |tomato|

Actually what I meant to say was 'Just make sites exclusive to Link -o-rama and a few more popular link lists!'.It was a simple typo dude....it happens.

(Ok ok ok...Buuuuuusted! I'm just trying to cover up for saying something totally stupid!|brick)

Hey, we can't help it if your fingers move faster than the brain sometimes...

and yes, I do just that. I do at least one set of recips for LOR "family" sites, then additional mirrors as needed, removing what might offend the other LLs. The absolute best of both worlds!!

I am hoping that eventually the new guidelines and trusted submitter thing become the standard.

So far, you are the only one to submit a site that has 3 recips: Link O Rama, Porn Movie Links, Dick Head Shit

That rule will be changed by Monday :D

I just wanted to get that site to your reviewers in time this morning to see if it would pass at both your sites, thats all GG.I didn't think it would be a problem with you if I added more recips once It got accepted as long as I didn't do anything major.

As of right now, sorta. To start, the other 4 Link Lists that I own/manage will accept sites based off of these new rules:
Porn Movie Links
Chubby Links
Older Gals Links
Sexy Toon Links
You can find links to special submit pages for each of those on the Trusted Submitter page.

Just an little update - there's a reason the "You can find links to special submit pages for each of those on the Trusted Submitter page" part is in there - it's hard to remember who's who if all the submits come in via the standard submit page.

I'm going to reject sites based on the new rules that are submitted via the regular form.

Go here & find the proper links:

For some reason it just seems to be simpler *shrugs* i love it * Big Smile* Thanx GG and everyone else that followed suit on this .

The old trusted link doesn't work then?

Have you EVER heard of anyone talking about that page in public?

If you go to that page, what does it say?

It asks for a login...

Star Man 2008-08-19 07:52 AM

Hey Greenie,I was just reading over your rules that apply to all submitters and noticed you didn't mention anything about hardcore content on the warning page and wanted to know if it's ok to do that now or if its still out of bounds.Just checking.

(it would be kinda neat :) )

Greenguy 2008-08-19 12:07 PM

I've never had a rule about what type of advertising materials you use on the warning page.

massive-x 2008-08-19 06:24 PM

Greenie I got invitation from you for partner status I send you my info on your PM a few days ago, but I did not get any respond from you, can you check your PM inbox please.

Hmm..I thought xxx content on the index was always out of bounds for some reason.Glad I asked though.I just wish I would have asked you this 100 about sites ago |banghead|

Greenguy 2008-08-19 11:19 PM

I will say that common sense says to at least put the hard stuff on the main page and/or galleries.

Yeah,no doubt.I'm just disgusted that I didn't know it's allowed in the first place. It's nice to know that the option is there though if I ever need it.:)

There are a few LL's that don't want to see hardcore pics on the warning page - personally I don't give a shit on my LL - but I avoid it when making freesites because I submit to a few of those LL's and I like their traffic.

Hell, none of my blogs have warning pages and everyone that knows my blogs, knows that they're not "softcore" |boobies| blogs.
