Oh hell yeah man, canned soup is salt with flavoring and edible solids added :)
It tastes great and addicting, but it truly is mostly salt water..
They do have some "low" sodium ones, but even those are way high.

Last night TheBitch had a nutritionist come over & go over what we've been eating & what we should be eating & whatnot. Seems that I really need to read the rest of the label instead of just the calorie part. Each serving of soup has 30-35% of the RDA of sodium. So, on those days I had 2 cans, the soup alone was giving me up to 140% of the sodium I need.

So that "holding water" theory might have contributed to the problem.

No soup yesterday & I like what I see :D

Congrats |greenguy| :)

Greenguy 2005-03-10 06:42 PM

Ohhh - I was bad today - Mom & Gran came over for dinner & I ate a big plate of food - I can tell I haven't been eating a lot lately because my stomach feels like it's gonna burst.

No more food for me today :(

RawAlex 2005-03-11 01:11 PM

Greenguy, it's the funniest feeling... I had one of those last night, got dragged out for dinner with friends, they fed me until I rolled..

http://www.rawalex.com/weight/mar11.jpg

187... +1 from yesterday.

Canned soup is deadly... if you want real soup, make it yourself, low sodium. As soon as you cut sodium, you will drop a pound or two overnight just losing water weight... It's insane how much salt can do to you.

Greenguy 2005-03-11 06:20 PM

Yeah - but I'd rather have gone up 1 than 4 :(

And I fucked up again today too - wen to Red Lobster because we had a gift certificate & planned on eating sensible until they put those fucking butter rolls out & I started to drool :D

GG, it reallly is a bit of a cycle... you can eat too much today, and it will all melt off tomorrow. Extra water, clean out the system, and recheck the weight. It is never very fair to check when you have just finished eating... I checked when I came home from dinner and the number wasn't pretty...

Skinny Sunday? ;)

Alex

digifan 2005-03-11 09:06 PM

Hmm.. I have an idea for you oh Great Green One..

you should measure yourself every other day only maybe :)

186... but it flickered to 185 a couple of times... so I am probably 186.1 or something.

It's hard to get moving from here.

Owing to an early breakfast meeting today, there will be no weigh-in because, well, I ate like a pig :-)

:D I got the little tub up to 184.9 by refreshing a few times. He must be jittery on the scale.

well, I have to agree with Digifan. You guys are showing quite a bit of resolve to do this publically and I commend you both. To quote another Mark:

BRAVO MY GOOD MEN! BRA-FUCKING-VO!!!!!

One day, I'll get back on the workout regimen, soon.

back to our regularly scheduled program.

Lowest yet - I'm getting happy :)

Greenguy 2005-03-16 01:22 PM

Ok - just a recap:

Greenguy - was 194 - now 187
RawAlex - was 193 - now 186

3 weeks, 7 pounds each.

RawAlex 2005-03-17 11:55 AM

I had another breakfast meeting today, so I don't have an official number - except I went easier on the food so tomorrow won't be quite so bad.

Alex

stuveltje 2005-03-17 12:14 PM

Nice going GG well done and you too rawalex and stop those big breakfast will ya:D

RawAlex 2005-03-17 12:19 PM

Well, I have someone I do business with who loves to eat early in the morning, so he combines that with business meetings, and gets to write off semi-pricey breakfasts (chez Cora, for those montrealers around here).

It's just one of those things.

Alex

cd34 2005-03-17 12:42 PM

And I had lunch at Chez Pizza Hut, also a writeoff. hahaha

I don't think that a big breakfast is bad.. at least my Grandma used to say that we need a good breakfast to start the day with and we won't be hungry for a long while... all you could do is taking pics at night :)

Anyway, congrats on the 7 lb minus!

Greenguy 2005-03-17 06:20 PM

TheBitch & I decided to cheat today - pizza is on the way to the house :D
