Greenguy was one of the guys early on that understood what the surfers wanted and put rules in place to help improve the overall quality of the sites he listed. Back in the late 90's, blind links were commonly done if not expected. You could click on a link that said, "Enter Here for Porn" and it would take you through a pop-up hell to some join page that you could not get out of.
Would you trust a site enough to whip out your credit card if they pulled major nasty tricks like that? I sure wouldn't and I would be telling everyone I know to stay the hell away from that site.
If a site insists you use their recip and their format only AND it is a blind link why would you want to submit your hard work to a site that isn't honest? The good link lists will always accept a properly formatted text link and most give you examples of what they will accept. How do I know? I submit to the same sites you do and I always use a custom text table. I have never ever been rejected for it.
If you have doubts, PM or email the LL owner and ask nicely. LOOK at what other sites on that list are doing. THINK, READ, ASK. BUT, don't ever submit a blind link to a LL that clearly states in the rules that they don't accept them. If you lack the intellect or integrity to do these simple things, this is not the business for you.
