Are TGPs turning into CJs?
 

I just spent a few minutes playing surfer and checking out a few tgps that I see in my referral links from time to time. I'm kicking around the idea of starting a TGP, so as much as anything else I was surfing the potential competition.

I've gotta say, if I were genuinely looking for free porn I would have ended up more pissed off than anything else. I kept clicking on galleries and getting redirected to other TGP sites through their traffic trading scripts...and I'm not talking about once or twice either. This was the surfing experience:

go to tgp
click on gallery chosen at random
redirected to another tgp
click on gallery chosen at random
redirected to another tgp
click on gallery chosen at random
redirected to YET ANOTHER tgp
click on gallery chosen at random
FINALLY SAW AN ACTUAL FREAKIN' GALLERY

This process was more or less repeated at multiple TGPs, who shall remain nameless. My question is, what kind of skimming percentage do these people have to be running for me to encounter this repeatedly? I mean, if I was a genuine porn surfer with cc in hand, these guys weren't even letting me get to the sales pitch.

Is this kind of Circle Jerk situation common with TGPs nowadays? If so, I'd be wary of trading any traffic at all, knowing that I was dumping my hard earned surfers into a piss-you-off situation like this.

Thoughts?

It does seem that some sites are running high skims. Most say they are 70% to galleries but I too have clicked and did not get a gallery 7 out of 10 times.

There are many guys running 100K sites barely averaging 1 signup a day themselves and that is the reason.

Oh don't get me started on CJ's LOL MadMax these guys will be here shortly to tell ya that this is the biz model of the future LOL I feel as you do about them

from all the research I've been doing, skim sites are the only way to get a TGP running now

there are ppl that are trying to do hardlink TGPs, but those take forever to grow, but they are a lot more productive when they do grow to a great size.

Skim TGPS is the new way to do things, even though you don't like it, it's here to stay

look at sites like bunnyteens and teenies XXX, they're very huge sites and all of them are skim.

There is no way that a no skim site can grow as big as them. unless you've been around years like the Hun or something

Turning into CJ's? Hell, a majority have been piece of shit CJ's for a long time.

Call me old fashioned, but I like my links to go where the surfer thinks they are going :D

I have zero blind links.. it may take longer to grow but I hate cheating the surfers.

i'd want to do the same, but a skim site can get up to 100k/day stable in a couple month

for a non-blind, it'll take years, unless you're constantly feeding bought traffic like what hte hun does

Give me happy productive surfers over pissed off redirected ones anyday.

I know what you mean I was looking for new tgps to submit too just the other day and noticed a few were using 50% skim and I did a bit of clicking and out of say 20 I got about 1 gallery now that is what most of this skimed tgps hits are a surfer sent who closes the browser or hits back straight away. I know when i used to surf tgps If I went to a trade Id close it straight away.

1 - I'd rather have 10,000 happy surfer as opposed to 100,000 confused & back clicking surfers.

2 - the Hun buys traffic?

I doubt very heavily that the Hun buys traffic - he's been around so long, everyone know him or has heard of him from the buddy at the bar.

Him, al4a, Ampland, PK, Richard, Tommy, etc - all have a strong following due to word of mouth & their length of time online.

So what value does this 100k/day have?

with FHGs, average $2000 a month

you cna get ppl like DamageX or crack to get it up to 100k/day

for $4000, get money back after 2 more or so, as long asyou don't mess up the trades ie get cheaters on hte list (hit bots)

The 100 k a skim site gets is BS traffic.

I used to run a CJ site for multipule months about 4 years back, I had about 15+ signups a day with 40-60k traffic. I think the logic behind it is, a surfer gets annoyed to a point where he clicks a sponsor banner, and signs up.

I might startup a cj site, after I get my good sites up and running just to see how the traffic quality is.

But as I said, that was almost 4 years ago.

Every couple of months someone comes on the board and talks about the hun like they know him. Where he gets his traffic, what he thinks, where he posts, etc. There are those who have been associated with him for a long time and do not presume upon that friendship by posting bullshit.
