Purely on Free Sites, sponsor content and typically 18 link lists I just passed $1000.

So, it's out there if ya want it.

can I ask how long did it take & how many freesites have you built so far to get you there?

wishing you (and me haha) many more!

Congrats Alphawolf - quite a nice amount :)

@ponygirl: browse around, there are some threads describing Alphawolfs free site adventures :)

ponygirl 2004-10-17 05:13 PM

grzepa - thx, I will! :)

Alphawolf 2004-10-17 05:40 PM

Amount of time is a poor indicator 'cos I did 1 free site and sat and watched things for a solid week.

1st free site was submitted 8/20 and the next weren't until 8 days later.

I have 23 free sites in total.

Almost half of that amount has come in the last 2 weeks. This past week i have been working on other projects and made no free sites. :(

I'm seeing the 'snowball effect' of having a bunch of sites listed.

$470 of that has come in the last 2 weeks.

I have some stinker sites and I have some sites that sell well.

4 sales have come from 1 paysite that has converted 1:97 for me this week (so far).
It's good to have a spread of niches.

I did double up in promoting sites that tended to have better ratios.

Comparing my 1st few sites to my style now it's very obvious regarding the changes.

I was a little weak sales wide initially.

I was selling the free tour initially.

Now I sell the backend and I GET IN THE SURFER'S FACE.

They are getting free porn. I want something in return. I'm not shy about giant ass fonts sizes anymore. :)

I added several more LL's that rank well in Google/Yahoo.

I made a mistake and made 3 free sites for a new paysite that was untested. Just because I liked the content doesn't mean others will. Bad conversions with that site.

BTW, this certainly isn't a brag at all. I'm 1:770 overall so it's quite mediocre on my part. And I guess that is why I'm posting.

Even with mediocre->poor conversions you should be able to make good money after plugging away for a few months.

When you add in smart TGP traffic and have a nicely developed hub in addition to plugging away on free sites there's little excuse not to make money.

I saw a post a while ago on another board froma guy who claimed to be doing free sites for 2 years and couldn't make $2k/mo or something like this.

Some people just aren't cut out to do this.

I continue to learn and pick up little nuggets of info here and there. I've reached a point where I must buy some content.

As I learn what tends to sell better for me I can attack that and make multiple free sites for that paysite and really milk it.

But on your typical 1 free site per day with mediorce conversions anyone should be able to do OK in this biz.

Of course, the goal is to increase my ratios (which I am doing) and branch out to TGP - which I have the info for.

Sex Sells. :D

I don't think yo ucan make a living just off of freesites, well rarely do unless you've been doing forever

I think its about....

making freesites, submitting gallerys, owning a few large sites like a TGP or linklist.

if you can do all of that each day....

well, it's what I'm planning to do

GunnCat 2004-10-17 07:28 PM

Is that per week Dean?

You can definitely live just of free sites.

Congrats Alpha |thumb

Not yet- should be soon though. $1k/week with just 23 free sites isn't realistic. ;)

Averaged $252.50 per week past 2 weeks. Conversions have gone up some...and each week is getting better than the last.

Sweet- just made another sale.

It definitly gets easier as time goes on and you have data that let's ya know what sites sell better than others.

BTW, I haven't gotten around to promoting your site yet, man. Sorry. Will do as soon as I can. |thumb

Depending where you live it is possible over time.

But why limit yourself to just free sites?

It's always good to branch out and get traffic from different sources. :)

It doesn't matter what else is going on (for the most part) it takes just 1.5hrs to make a good free site and submit. Perhaps a bit less/more.

Next week it's time to start getting content and invest in TGP.

Alphawolf 2004-10-17 08:17 PM

BTW, my goal is a very reasonable $1500-$2000/mo by beginning of 2005. That's 2.5 months...

I'm now debt free and in the process of getting my Florida real estate license.

I'm priming myself to make the move down there and be in the best possible conditions to make some good accomplishments in real estate.

So, I'll be doing real estate which offers a flexible schedule and I'll have the adult stuff to 'fall back on'. LOL.

BTW, I am just mentioning free sites only...not things like AEBN which covers my monthly hosting and then some.

The point of this post is to show what can be done with the cost of hosting only.

There are a lot of claims out there...on various boards.

As you can see this claim is nothing special. If it was- I wouldn't post it. ;)

I know I'm a real guy and quite honest on the boards. I did nothing this week in adult. I have $260 and still time to go tonight. $260 for no work is good no matter where you are. :D

Maybe next year it will be $2600/wk. I won't be postin' none of those numbers. ;)

I'm using the little profits I got to re-invest into TGP partner accounts and content.

You can only get so far on freebie stuff. But it should be enough to 'get serious' as far as affiliates go...

PS- I will be pushing about 55GB's of BW this month. That's the bad part about getting a couple sites rated 3 on PB / WP and 6 others at 4.

Tommy 2004-10-17 08:27 PM

Alphawolf.....you keep knocking those sites out

GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!

Tommy, you are by far my #1 traffic source. So, thank you. |shake|

I think you stated I could submit 4/day to you and I wasn't sure how to take advantage of that.

I'll be expanding my LL recips quite a bit.

Time to get more serious because I can see the potential down the road. |santa|

Well, not always. I like to have my fun here too. :D

But I learned *everything* here and feel it's only right to "give back" whether it's factual info, opinions or inspiration.

coatsy 2004-10-17 08:44 PM

Congrats Alpha Wolf !!

Alpha Wolf you talk about buying content, may I ask what for ? to create a paysite ?

Also I dissagree with you that you can only go so far on 'freebie' content, pick the right sponsors and many paysite webmasters these days will allow you a pass to their sites to pick any content you like. Many many webmasters have made an excellent living for years including myself from just using content that sponsors provide

Tommy 2004-10-17 08:50 PM

Alphawolf, coatsy is right. Try to keep expenses down and yes you can submit 4 a day

and its my pleasure to link a honest submitter

Carl 2004-10-17 08:53 PM

What kind of taxes do you have to pay on that $1000.00

Alphawolf 2004-10-17 08:59 PM

coatsy: True. But free content dictates which sponsors I use and to a large extent what sites I can promote.

I have always tried to pick only the best free content and always edit sets to delete something a bit fuzzy or just not the better of the pics.

There are a couple more sites I can get out of good free content.

I'll keep the costs down. No worries there.

Tommy: You'll see me taking advantage of that in the coming weeks. |thumb

Too much. I try to withold 33%. I'll be having a lot of expenses soon though. In fact, I need to talk to my accountant....

msanchez: Yeah- I was told a long time ago as a 1099 to just figure on 33% and go with deductions from there.

amadman 2004-10-17 09:32 PM

Wtg Alfawolf.
