Now if I ran a little contest...

.. NOT promoting anything.. just for fun... (remember that?)

What would make good prizes?

Content? - always good
Hosting? - ? prize hosting always runs out :(
A site tour? - ? only good if you have a paysite or shitloads of content?
A script? - hmm usually a valuable item
A script install and mod?
Increase partnership %?

Got any other ideas of solid, 'ever-lasting' prizes? please post them.

I(and a friend) have an idea for a fun contest... which we will tell you all about when we work out what the prizes can/will be...

Remember it's for fun only..

Well, I could use a muzzle and a submit pass to DangerDave's. :D

Like you said, content is always nice. I also think the idea of having a site tour designed is swank, but I've always had a bit of penis envy when it comes to people who own paysites.

I could use my house cleaned.

I ended up owning a LL after I won a LL script.

A year's supply of |potleaf| would be great. :D

I love the idea of prizes being something not normally easily obtained. Submit passes are a great idea, since they offer the winner a sense of importance, and there's no out of pocket expense for the donor.

Prizes like hosting involve too much trouble to collect :-(

Cleo & Warrior...

I have to agree with both of you, a script would be kind of cool...but a submit pass would be a great incentive to some of us newbies if you really want to be |santa|
lol

JenC 2004-11-08 10:55 PM

Content & scripts always welcome here. |bananna|

Wazza 2004-11-08 11:15 PM

A signed photo of you and pinhead |goodnight

Tart 2004-11-08 11:17 PM

An authentic submission pass to Danger Dave's would rock |bananna|

But I wouldn't turn down a script or content either :D

I'd want a TOP of the line puter loaded up min cost 5,000 of course I'd like it to have every tool you'll need.
I buy one every few yrs but never spend that much for one hehe

Designs are nice, like TGP templates or a few free sites templates, which could be put together with a submit pass.

some banner designs or gallery templates will be a good prize too.

swedguy 2004-11-09 05:07 AM

Since this is a link list board, here's some prizes that would fit this place and its crowd.

* Link List
* Link List design
* x PR5 trades for your site for x months
* x free site templates
* x free sites, including content

DD,
Something Australian would be nice. The road signs that Out Back lauched with was a neat ideal.

MrMaryLou 2004-11-09 07:43 AM

Great Idea DD :)

selena 2004-11-09 08:35 AM

You could figure out a few things you are comfortable with offering as prizes, then let the winner pick from them. That way they get what is appropriate/most wanted by them at that stage in their career.

ngb1959 2004-11-09 08:44 AM

This would be a good prize for us girls:

Morning Snack

He also seems to be missing his most important part. |jester|

I guess he would be still good for making coffee but by the looks of him the care and feeding would be a bit much for just a coffee maker. :D

Fonz 2004-11-09 09:06 AM

I would go for the content pack or the increase in partnership %

And ofcourse if it's a script that I could really use that would be great too :)

hosting and design don't apply to me that much...

I guess it all depends on how long you have been in the biz.
As a newbe I would pick content or as other say submit pass.

caringneo 2004-11-09 12:25 PM

Some nice ideas there.
A top listing at DangerDave.com also would be nice. (That would automatically include a submit pass I guess. |jester| )

Dr Bizzaro 2004-11-09 12:35 PM

How about servant.... I could use someone to do all my chores.

grzepa 2004-11-09 01:29 PM

From the ones you mentioned I'd like some content.
The best deal from you would be a submit pass to DD I think.
