I promoted them, got sales and....

I promoted them, got sales and it is now time to get paid. Money for me! Well, at least I thought so... It seems like there are some problems with getting money transferred from some of the sponsors.

I have not been promoting for a long time and have just gotta about $ 100,- 200,- on 4-5 different sponsor accounts. I know that it is not much money for the sponsors, but it is money for me. Especially now when Christmas is coming...

I have been consentrating my promotion to sponsors that supports E-passporte as I don't live in the US and the banks are just killing me with exhange rates when it comes to checks. I also thought that it would be simpler for the sponsors also to get the money out to the affiliates.

That is were I am now. Money in the accounts at the sponsors. E-passporte id fixed and ready in the info pages. I have passed the minimum limit of money that can be transferred and nothing happens......

After I got a bit annoyed about waiting for my money I have been asking around a bit. And it seems like this is happening to more people than just me.

I just gotta say that I am really getting pissed off if I have to go and ask to have my money transferred every time I make some sales. Everything should be in place for it to come automatically. If I have to run around and ask for my money after having worked my ass off by promoting for the sales I am better off without that sponsor.

For now I will keep on with e-mail, ICQ, phone number and other ways to see if I can get in touch with the sponsors. But the sponsors seem to have a funny way of not answering when it comes to payments. But I will continue to do so until I have tried every way I can to get in touch with them. After that I dont have any other way then to ask on the boards about any tips.

We will see how things work out.

To those sponsors that pays on time, thank you! It is a pleasure to promote you! To the sponsors that dont pay on time - Get your system fixed!!!

Thank you!

I think that FlashCash is the only one with real time payouts - I know I get paid by Platinum Bucks via ePassporte & that's on the 2nd & 16th of each month - so you might be waiting for their payperiod to end before you get paid, which is standard with every sponsor.

Unless I misread your post?

MadMax 2004-12-01 08:07 PM

Yup, many sponsors pay 2-4 weeks after the end of a given pay period, so you might want to double check each sponsor's TOS.

kalle7 2004-12-01 08:19 PM

Thanks GG and MadMax! |waves|

I know that it can take a bit time from the sign-ups to the pay-outs, but now it is about 1 month for all of them to be passed the limit of transfer. |sad|

It is just amazing how big difference it is from some sponsors to others. Some sponsors replies to you quickly and as mention pays out when they should on time. And others dont even bother to reply to your e-mails.

I guess I will learn which sponsors that belongs in wich categories. |rasta|

Thanks!

Greenguy 2004-12-01 08:21 PM

If you hit the minimum payout a month ago, then yes, get upset :)

kalle7 2004-12-02 04:50 AM

Yep, if I dont get contact with the sponsors and the money does not show up I am definitely gonna turn into |bat|

|jester|

Thanks!

kristian 2004-12-02 07:18 AM

Turning into a bat wont help. :)

Check your info to make sure you are correct. You must be 100% sure that you are owed money and it is way past due. Spend today trying to contact them one last time.

If you are correct and still unable to contact them, come to GG&J and post their name and all the details. I'm sure if nothing else this will generate a response from the parties involved.

Just make sure you are in the right.

kalle7 2004-12-02 09:15 AM

I was just waiting for that one on the bat lol |jester|

Yep, you are right. I have double checked all info so that should be ok. And I will do my best to contact them with e-mail, ICQ, phone... But if it is still no signs of life I will do as you say. Post it on the board. And if I do that I need to have tried everything first!

I feel your pain.

kalle7,

I been there too... I agree with you about some sponsors really paying attention to webmasters and responding on time. I called them Business Partners. I scratch their back and they scratch mine.

Others are just real dickheads to deal with. They ususally bite the dust.

kalle7, my advice to you is work with those sponsors that are there for you when you need them. THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR BUSINES AND SPECIALLY YOU.

Fuck & DROP those that don't even reply to you. You DO NOT NEED THEM. THEY NEED US.

SPONSORS "THEY" NEED US TO PROMOTE THEIR PORGRAMS.

It's not the other way around. There are tooooooo many freaking programs to promote.

Some people have walk away with up to $2000 of my hard earned money and would rather not reply or work a deal with me.

Guess what? They can keep that money, I have made way more with other sponsors.

TIME IS MONEY, MONEY IS TIME.

DO NOT LOOK BACK EVER, ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD.

kalle7 2004-12-02 10:03 AM

|waves| Great advice ClubPussy! I will do that from now on. See what sponsors that are replying, supporting and converting, and keep those. Those sponsors that dont care about me promoting them, does not deserve my time.

Thanks! |cheers|

amadman 2004-12-02 10:55 AM

kalle7,

Before calling out the sponsor you should try the 'help desk' link here at the top of the board. GG and Jim know alot of people and sometimes can work things out before it gets real messy.

stuveltje 2004-12-02 02:06 PM

Kalle i know some of the sponsors you mean and i know some people who have problems with the payout, there is still a thing i dont get from sponsors, say you and me use both sponsor a, b, c,, you and i do both the same and still sponsor b wont pay me and will pay you, and sponsor C will pay me but not you? i hear it alot, why? i wonder, do they just pick ones in awhile some webmasters and dcide to fuck them? i realy dont know, still things can work out, i have 3 sponsors i have to tell before the payment date , to not forget to pay me, if i dont say they forget, how? hell i dont know, And guess what i do tell them , and i get my money, others say why you are still promoting them, it are only 3 of the 100+ sponsors i have to watch my stats for, but i sell them and i sell them good, so untill they stop paying me i keep giving them the reminders email and see my money get paid. Get after it you work for the money so lett them pay, in 3 years i had 7 sponsors who i had trouble with paying me, 5 gave me the money oke it was after 4 to 6 months but i got it and dropped them , the other 2 got broke.............! I hope it will work out fast for you!!

Mefo 2004-12-03 06:14 AM

yup there are some real bad sponsors out there, it's always a good idea to just mail them and see if they respond

kalle7 2004-12-03 09:22 AM

amadman: Thanks! I will remember that. Perhaps that could be a solution if nother else works.

Stu: Sounds like you know what I am talking about. It's real bad that you have to go after your sponsors evertime you wanna get paid. Sounds like they wanna keep the money from the webmasters that does not have control of what money that have around. I will see what happens my money. But if I dont get it I will let you know |rasta|

Mefo: Yeah, I am sending out e-mails about it. Some for the second and third time. But will try the other ways also as e-mail seems to not be the saftest way anymore.

Garou 2004-12-03 06:34 PM

You should show those sponsors a link to this thread :) And forget about the problems after. Reputation is a big deal.

Lemmy 2004-12-03 07:57 PM

If and when it is determined beyond doubt that these sponsors (or any sponsor for that matter) deliberately cheats their affiliates I think they should be outed. I for one would like this information before I waste time and money on them.

wesley 2004-12-03 09:11 PM

I did post a sponsor that refused to pay 3 months after due date and over a dozen emails to them. One of the owners replied here and said he would make it good, well over a month later still no check.

I doubt many of the sponsors really care much about the webmasters that don't make them the most money. Nor about their rep as they know there are many more webmasters out there. Makes you wonder if they treat their customers any better.

not totally agree with that, its just like i said in my post before, if we both use the same sponsor , we both do the same thing, but sponsor will pay you and will not pay me without an reason, i wont tell others do not use them i only can tell what my experience was, because they wont fuck all. A firend of mine wanted to drop the sponsor who cheated on me, i told him not to do it, they pay him so he has no problem, and you are on the net to make money.Just my 2 cents|violin|

real-time payouts?
now that's a concept!

Hi Kalle,

Exchange rates are screwing me too mate, where are you located?

E Passporte is not something I have used, Ilooked into it some time ago though people in the UK had issues withdrawing so I took a step backwards and never explored it again.

I met up with them in Lisbon and they assured me it worked well in the UK now, I know Money Bookers were being used by a lot of people in Eastern Europe just the programme owners were slow on the uptake.

Phoenix 2004-12-09 04:15 PM

Hope you get your situation worked out.

Contact a rep of theirs if they have one.

Best wishes

troy 2004-12-09 05:09 PM

Hi NochexContact

I live in the nederlands and am very happy with Epassporte.

Here you can get money out of the machines at almost every bank no problem and when I was in Paris last month I could use it almost everywhere.

kalle7 2004-12-09 06:14 PM

Garou: that is a good idea! |rasta|

Lemmy: Since it seems like webmasters are beeing treated differently (god knows why) at the sponsors, testing seems to be only way to find those that will not pay out money.

Stu: Gotta agree with you there!

NochexContact: Yeah, exchange rates are horrible at the moment. Seems like I am getting less money every week. But E-passporte is definitely something to look into further. I got the card and it works excellent for me here at No Way land
|jester|

Phoenix: Thanks! Still working on it!

Lemmy 2004-12-09 06:28 PM

If they treat affiliates differently they're still assholes in my book and exposing them benefits us all. You never know when you are going to be the random target of their cheating practises.

have you by any chance used it or tried to use it to purchase goods?

As far I have known they were the first company to use the 'Payrole Card' to opperate stored value accounts.

The former company I worked with explored this though never took it any further. I have been interested in stored value solutions for years since reading a report by KPMG relating to non card holders finding it difficult to obtain goods / services online.

In the UK we have a 'Pay Point' network which is in essence a 'stored value account' though for offline users. Its mainly used by families/people on low incomes to keep on top of their bils though would be great way to get funds into an account which could then be used online.
