Other than my day being interrupted by driving The Bitch around for a couple of houors, I've got no major plans.

Woken up early by a Blue Jay flying around my bedroom that one of my cats caught. After running around my bedroom to catch the little guy and set him free I was too awake to go back to bed.

It's very gusty out today I was woken up by loud ran a few times but that is about it from the hurricane that became a tropical storm that became just a whole lot of nothing. It's like I'm really happy that we didn't get hit by a hurricane but at the same time it's like wait I got all ready for a hurricane and feel cheated.

Looking to be a not very nice day out so it's going to be a day of indoor stuff. I need to call the plumber to see if he is still putting a sink in my neighbor's place today but I'm guessing that is cancelled as is most stuff today due to the hurricane that didn't happen.

Maybe I'll have another impromptu storm party this afternoon or something.

Completely quiet here last night. Not even enough wind and rain to wake me up once. Looking around outside this morning it's like nothing happened. Which is fine by me. Although, Cleo, I do feel a little cheated from the getting ready and all the Weather Channel/CNN/local news hype.

It should be a nice quiet day down here since all the tourists got mandatory evacuation orders the other day. My guess is there'll be a few local "hurricane missed us" parties later today (actually there are probably a couple still going).

Up late since the wife was not at home dragging my ass to bed. Up early cause the gardner was here at 7:30. But at least I have a massage scheduled today

Ernesto's eye is about 35 miles East South East and the winds are not really too bad. Not even much rain this time... a few 5 minute downpours, but, nothing really significant.

So, a Windy Wednesday Workday is in order.

Couldn't get ahold of the plumber but the gym was open so did the gym thing.

For some reason mentally I feel like I've been through a much worse storm. I think a lot has to do with the hyperbole of storm reporting that we've been subjected to.

It's been kind of like the therapy session from A Clockwork Orange.

Allergies have made my life a living hell this week, nothing like waking up at 3 in the morning and having a 10 minute sneazing fit and then being so clogged up and having so much sinus pressure that I get so dizzy I can barely walk. So I put myself on some allergy medicine and those are basically sleeping pills that help with my allergies, but make me sleep 10-12 hours a day. So I guess I get to choose between being a zombie or being a mess with sneazing fits, a leaky faucet for a nose, and burning swelled up eyes.

Someone needs explain something to me - why do people that I don't show a fondness for add me to their ICQ? Do they think a one-on-one chat is going to make me want to share recipes with them or do they simply wish to attack me in private where I can't call them horribly inappropriate names publicly? So...Simon_IA_Cash and wrk4 - don't hold your breath. I keep my games on the playground.

Add that to my list of things to bitch about.

I think I'm going to once again challenge thanatos by climbing up on my shitty old roof today. Have I mentioned how much this house sucks? Yes, I believe I have.
