I went to the Dr for the results of my BRAIN |shocking| SCAN yesterday...she told me that I don't have one |haha

Actually, my brain is fine, which means I'm probably suffering from some sort of depression, which I was oddly happy to find out (it does explain a lot of shit that's been going on in my head) So now I take pills |thumb

I've also managed to become allergic to something (rag weed?) after 36 years of breathing fine throughout the year. So I get pills for that as well |thumb

Bills play a pre-season game at home tonight, but The Bitch is taking her friends & I have to stay home |cry|

Modern medicine... have this test, take these pills, try this procedure see what happens, repeat until you either feel better, drop dead, or run out of money... whichever comes first.

Doctor stuck things in me, didn't really see anything unusual, put me on new pills, told me to have more tests.

Took new pills before bedtime. Wow did I have some bizarre interesting, rather disturbing dreams when I wasn't tossing and turning and trying to go back to sleep.

Doing the gym thing once I'm all the way awake and then just a day of work and errands planned.

Not a great night sleeping but not bad. Off to a different hospital sometime this morning but they are flexible so I have no idea when my wife will want to leave. Besides that, relaxing and caregiving. This weekend should be easy.

Just got back from the memorial service for Faith, Hope, and Charity, the 3 unknown casualties of Hurricane Camille, which struck the Mississippi Coast on August 17,1969.

Got a ton of stuff to do to catch up from this cold putting me behind.. time to get snapping.

Morning all:) well 3.34 midday here. First night home, it sucked, i slepped realy bad and the weather is still the same, rain and storm and fucking cold. We had to shop for some parts of my dishwasher , the stupid thing went dead before i moved to the summerhome 4 weeks ago, i realy hate dishwashing by hands, we got the parts so now my hubby can fix the damn thing.
I think i am gonna color my hair today, i get a bit tired of all my friends telling me i am getting realy gray, further i have nothing.

Good to hear all is oke with your brain GG and a depression (i dont know if i say that right now, because i think the word sounds more like a weather thing:D) we get all ones in awhile.

So now Cleo have to tell why she gets things in her body:D then i think i am uptodate:D

Greenie, I hope the pills help. They have some great ones nowadays, and if one type doesn't fix you, there are others you can try. They're all real good and usually the side effects (like strange dreams) go away after a few weeks. You may also want to play with dosage (obviously, along with your doc, not on your own). Depression sucks, big time, been there, done that. The pills are a godsend IMO, even if you don't alway get the exact right ones right away.

Smoke alarm woke me up earlier this morning. No smoke or fire just decided to act up. Would not shut up until the battery was pulled out. Guess I will just plan a nap for later.

I have an appointment wednesday to do the same thing. I've always been the one that never took or wanted pills because i figured depression or "personality quirks" were just what made each person different and people shouldn't take medicine and not be themselves.

Then after 20 or so years of depression i figured i might as well give it a try and start living a full, entusiastic life as opposed to just wasting it and see a doctor. I've never not been extremely depressed, so i don't know how i'll be without it or with a lot less of it lol.

Just to add, since this is turning into a thread about depression... There are some very effective types of therapy these days that don't involve medication. I am going through a course of CBT, and by that I don't mean Cock and Balls Torture but Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It's only 4-5 sessions, so you don't have to be extremely rich for it. There are also some excellent books that walk you through the same kind of therapy. It does take work though, and sometimes taking the pills is just easier. Either way, you only live once, why go through it miserable?

My grandson managed to lock us all outside yesterday. So we were stuck in the HOT screen room for three hours till my husband could get home and let us in..|angry| Strange thing is none of our neighbors that we trust anyways were home so we couldn't go get cooled off. Needless to say I now have a key hidden out back...:D
