Take 5 seconds and do me a favor.
A good friend of mine (and a great guy to boot) went on the Dr Phill show and took that weightloss challenge.
He ended up loosing like 80-100 lbs since it all started. They are voting online for the winner, so if you could just take 5 seconds to click the link and vote for "JIM", I'd appreciate it. http://www.drphil.com/polls/weight_win/042104_win.jhtml |

done.
As happy as I am as a BBW I am always in awe of anyone who manages to drop so much weight. |
Thanks to everyone who voted. I appreciate it. The guy really deserves it.
Just a littlebackground on the guy: Probably one of the funniest and most talented guys I know. He's been trying to break into the entertainment business for as long as I've known him. (A natural born entertainer) He was the co-creator and host of a long running local cable show in Chicago, back in the late 80's and early 90's, called Color TV. (My old band appeared on it in 1990.) He's done stand up, local comedy troops and improv for the past 5-7 years. For the past year and 1/2 he's been a side-kick in Chicago, on the Kevin Matthews Radio Show (105.9 WCKG). It's the show that follows Howard Stern. (Although this does not do his talent any justice. Hopefully it will be a stepping stone for him to do his own show some day.) He also came up with ideas and did some writing as Lumpy the Clown on http://www.RedBrain.com a few years ago. (The top 11 list, Horror-scopes, The Lumpy the Clown Column.) Also, I went and encouraged him to quite his real job to pursue his dreams and he did. So if it all worked out for the guy, I would be quite happy I didn't steer him down the wrong path. Plus the guy lost a fucking 125lbs! |

I didn't get to vote :(
I went to the link but since I had not heard anything about it I went and looked at the rest of the site to see the different people. Then after seeing that he was the obvious winner I returned to vote but it said I had already voted because I had already been to the page:( Sorry. |
Voted, but if he loses I want my 5 seconds back.

I voted. That's awesome, my wife is glued to that show every day.

seein' as how the good Dr and myself both went to high school with Jim (or Lumpy as DrB alluded to from his radio show persona), how could I vote for anyone else. He rally is a funny, talented, sincerely generous guy. And what better friend can another guy have who is funny, talented, and always buys the round when his turn comes up?
