It has been a Friday here more than 12 hours.

No plans for weekend. My wife is in weekend congress at Helsinki almost all weekend, so I'm home alone. I'm probably too lazy to go to bar, but you never know. I think it's pizza and old movies from television. Some work at daytime. Guitar playing...I may put up my Johnson J-Station and Fender amp, tune my Strato and play some blues...that gizmo is awesome, you can find any sound you want from it. If days feel too long I can always play electric piano, some old jazz tunes. I'm not very good, but nobody is listening, lol! |bananna|

Oddly enough, I have a full weekend ahead of me, so I'll be scarce til Monday.

Today I'm going to take a look at my sister's computer & then we're watching my niece for the day. Tonight I'm going to my buddy's 30th birthday party.

Tomorrow we have a few people coming over to the house & I'm going to try & get a card game going.

Sunday will find me on the couch recovering from 2 days of drinking :D

30th birthday is the baddest. It's the first time you start to think that you're not so young anymore. 40 is nothing, but 50 is bad again. I'm 50 after 3 years and I have already started to worry how old I really am.

I didn't wanted any 30 birthday party, so I travelled to Rhodos, Greece with my girlfriend. My girlfriend was 10 years younger than me and beautiful, so I didn't felt myself as old as I would if I'd gone there alone, lol!

I bought a tuxedo - that island is full of excellent tailors and prices were cheap back then - and we went to Rhodos Casino.

First we emptied the one hand bandits there. That was fun. We started to win right away and soon some guy came and said we must stop because he must do some kind of repair to that machine. We went to second machine and started to win right away. We tried every machine and won and that guy walked behind us and started to "repair" every machine, lol!

Then we went to blackjack table and lost every penny, lol!

Cable people are coming to install a cable modem today. Hopefully it will be as good as they claim. I doubt they can be worse the bellsouth. I spent a good part of yesterday trying to figure out what bellsouth had done to one of my accounts after they went for the double your speed for 10 bucks a month. It should be called the break your setup and screw everything up deal.

Actually my ADSL has been working very well lately, but I could do without the extra feature of having their billing trying to FAX me their offer to double my speed for 10 bucks a month that they have been sending my 24/7 for over a week now. :(

I ordered an upgrade to my high speed last week. The phone company asked me if I wanted to have my internet charged to my phone bill instead of my credit card, I said sure... a week later I still havent received my new modem so I called them. They told me that there is an error in the info I gave them so they didnt process my request... come on its not like they didnt have my phone number!!!! So to make a long story short, my modem is on the way.. ya right.

Can't really tell if it is any faster or not.

Cable guy looked at my big pile of routers and hubs all plugged into an Airport (WiFi base station) with Macs all over my house and just looked at me in horror and said "I hate Macs, don't you have a PC?" LOL I dusted off the keyboard of my Win2K machine for him and booted it up for him once I found a power cord for it. :D

Only plans I have is to watch the Tampa Bay Lightning kick some Flyer ass on Saturday GO BOLTS!!!!!!!!

Cable is Da Bomb!! You had what, DSL? Not bad too though.

How someone can survive on dialup I just don't know. At this point if I moved the house I buy would have to have hispeed capabilities and not that shitty satellite crap or I wouldn't buy it.
