Greenguy 2015-07-16 10:25 AM

Down here, too :(

Ramster 2015-07-16 12:54 PM

Someone should contact him. Hopefully he didn't just close the doors. Give it away or let someone run it at least lol

Greenguy 2015-07-16 03:32 PM

I did msg him & his wife on FB - not sure if either are on that much :(

JAI-LING 2015-07-17 05:46 AM

Tommy's been down a couple three days and 6tgp has been abducted by aliens. WTF?

Greenguy 2015-07-17 11:07 AM

I spoke to his wife on FB & plan on talking to him later today...

JAI-LING 2015-07-18 02:51 AM

Any news Greenie? I need to get my Tommy's on. He's got a lot of support. Like you. |bananna|

Greenguy 2015-07-18 08:40 AM

No update - I'll post later after I talk to him.

Buncha 2015-07-20 02:05 PM

Anyone hear from Tommy? I hope he's not gone for good.

Useless 2015-07-20 02:38 PM

Someone at the zoo spoke to Colo-cation about it and they said it wasn't a hosting problem. Interpret that as you wish.

Ramster 2015-07-21 08:40 AM

Why would he just close it? Sell it, even if it makes very little the name itself is worth $1000's.

JAI-LING 2015-07-21 10:06 AM

Give it to Cleo!!!!

Some rather let the site die than to see it in the hands of other.. Hopefully that's not the case here though, Tommy still sends good traffic to my galleries :/

How does a domain that is down still send you traffic?

Not sure if joking...

I meant he is still (up to a few days ago) one of the few tgps left that can send more than a handful of visitors

JAI-LING 2015-07-22 02:42 PM

Whats the issue transferring to a trusted friend?
If he's out, he's out. No need to kill a great site.

What a shocking news to me! I hope that some member from here will adopt his great site...

JAI-LING 2015-07-26 05:58 AM

I hope site comes back. Swapping out links now though as I guess for whatever reason it won't come back or won't come back as before. Sad days. I thought Tommy's would be going up to the apocalypse.

LeRoy 2015-07-29 04:54 PM

So it's really gone huh? Damn thats a shocker!!

Buncha 2015-07-31 02:00 PM

There's an update over at GFY. Seems like the hosting company had a dispute and he hasn't responded, so they turned him off.

Cleo 2015-07-31 02:06 PM

Copy and paste from GFY

Brad Mitchell

I own Colo-cation.com and I turned him off. I've sent emails, left voicemail and sent a FB request and message before taking action. Happy to resolve this if/when he calls me.

Oh boy. I can tell you Brad doesn't do something like that without Tommy being months and months behind! I've been behind on my hosting bill with Mojo before and they have Always worked with me. But if you don't pay and don't answer emails well that doesn't leave people much choice.

My guess is Tommy has just said fuck it to the adult business.

Odd, if I ever got out I'd probably get dirt cheap hosting and redirect everything to some white label tubes or something. I wouldn't just turn off everything and leave money on the table.

ecchi 2015-08-01 11:55 AM

Or he is sick, or in hospital, or in jail and currently unable to deal with the matter!

Or possibly abducted by aliens!

jscott 2015-08-06 05:23 AM

RIP T-B!

Cleo 2015-08-06 08:38 AM

I bet he is stuck in an elevator someplace. Either that or playing pinball.

faxxaff 2019-07-13 05:33 PM

Can you send me the info, too? I have no money, so I won't be buying it, but I am curious how much you're asking & how much traffic is still gets 4 years later.

You have my word I'll keep it to myself |shake|

Bill 2019-08-09 06:02 AM

Hi everyone - I thought I'd start by taking advantage of this elderly thread to make a side comment.

I had been with Colo-cation and chris davies for many years - was surprised to find myself at mojo, but, went along with it.

At a certain point something happened to me not unlike what is being described here with Tommy. I was involved with some heavy stressy project, money was tight, and I lost track of things and one day discovered that my sites were down.

Then, here's the shocker.

Mojo had not just suspended the sites, they had deleted them. With no backups. After a month - I think it was a month - shortfall. (I had been getting a discount by paying a year in advance. I would have switched to monthly - but like I said, lost track of things. My bad, definitely. Still, I was shocked and dismayed when I realized what had happened and that I had no recourse, no recovery was possible.)

Everything was gone unless I went back to the old copies of the sites stored in an old hard drive and restored bits and pieces of things.

Yeah I know we all got sad stories, lol. But that's mine, and why my old network of sites was suddenly gone withoiut notice.

Say what? You have no idea who I am? Yeah, it has been a while.

sarettah 2019-08-11 12:47 AM

Well that sucks Bill :(

MOJO is usually better than that from what I have experienced and heard about them.

But it would definitely suck to wake up one morning and have my sites gone. I do my own backups but not nearly often enough, but then again my money sites are all cam affiliates so they are just a structure that gets filled by the clients xml data so they do not change all that often.

I think they probably are - better than that usually, that is.

I think it was a peculiarity of the way mojo was holding the colo-cation sites.

Chris had colo set up with a control system of his own making. It served well enough for the old style of sites, everything done in html or simple wrdpress or scripted builds like linklists. But because the thing was so durable and relatively hack resistant, I think he was backing up less frequently, and his backups were destructive - the new baclup wrote over the old, and he didn't keep that many stored backups.

I think I was out of touch long enough that as the backups wrote over the last ones - the backups with my stored account on them were written over by backups in which my account had been deleted.

That was what was implied to me as I was talking with mojo. I pressed them to look for any possible backup - no joy. At a certain point I just shrugged and deciided that was that.

What's funny is I am still getting regular checks from old cam affiliate companies and customers I sold from that old network. Talk about customer retention - dayum!

faxxaff 2019-08-15 03:22 AM

For those interested in pruchasing Tommys Bookmarks domain I have opened a sales thread over on GFY. The current high bid is 2600 US$.

Hope I don't break any rules by posting this link here. My apologies.
