I'm sad to announce that FinnBear, a long time contributor to this board, deceased after a brief hospitalization on Wednesday, 20th of October. His funeral will take place on Saturday the 30th. I'm so filled with sorrow and grief that i can't express my feelings but briefly.

His loving wife,
Tara

Finnbear was one of the good ones, especially around here. He was always helpful to others when he could, he was always learning & he was a fun guy to talk to.

He will be greatly missed :(

OMG, Finnbear was one of the people that was here from the start, he was one of the European mainlanders that I respected on this board. Always came out with great replies. I'm really shocked by this news.
I'm wishing lots of strength to his wife, family and friends in these hard days...

Useless 2004-10-29 08:42 AM

Leave them up there - I am - odds are his wife will be able to get someone to take them over for her.

Netpiddler 2004-10-29 11:13 AM

Wow what a shock... What can you say to that...

I never had the honor of meeting Finnbear but I do know that what you saw was what you got with him and he was always more than helpful and full of encouragement for anyone who needed it...

We've lost a number of great folks this year, its a shame to lose yet another one in Finnbear.

My thoughts are with all those who knew him better than I and his family.

Fly with the angels Finnbear...

I wanted to stop by here because I know Finnbear posted here alot. He kept TNB up to date on the goings on here and I know he worked alot with many of you. He will be sorely missed by so many, words cannot express............

Cleo, please hold off on deleting the listings....I am going to try to work with his sponsors and wife to see what we can do to keep his sites going.....I know he would have wanted it that way.

I will certainly keep you posted. :)

Paparazzi 2004-10-29 12:16 PM

HAHA! Yes! That is exactly who he was....enjoyed good food, good wine, good music and good friends. His choice of avatar certainly reflected that. :)

dirtyjumbo 2004-10-29 12:35 PM

I was wondering why he wasn't around lately
My sincere condolences to his wife and family

RIP
