I am not happy about this.. and I would imagine many other webmasters may not be...

Yeah man - I predicted that when visa started getting crazy on the chargebacks.

I figured the AVS people would be feeling the heat from the chargebacks.

That sucks man.

CA had never listed my sites on their internal link list. Their rules were very strict in the past, too.

pretty amazing stuff . . . . I was looking to see that they had done something positive, not that.

And of course we'll have to add "target="_parent" to each and every sponsor link now... how many places rule out linking within a frame in their terms...

It has been a few years since CyberAge went insane with their rules and made it all but impossible for me to build sites that would get listed on their list.

One more nail in their coffin…

Would be nice if CyberAge heard that... *might* convice them to rethink their approach....

All Cyber Age links have been pulled from the Link O'Rama - including about 700 of my own sites - I'm thru with Cyber Age.

After seeing how my content had been put in a frame and after giving this much thought I've also removed all CyberAge sites from my link list, removed their ads from my link list, remove their button from my sig, and made a No Cyberage rule to my submit page.

If someone wants to fuck me I appreciate being asked if I would like to get fucked first. |angry|

This cant be good for CyberAge, and they had it comming to them! Im loosing big money on this......and so will CA.....

I've only got a handful of Avs sites and have put all my new ones on hold until the whole Avs scene chills out. It sounds like it hit some of ya's pretty hard., I would have to |goodnight someone if I had 700 that went to hell.

I am in the middle of moving house.. but once settled... I will be doing the same.. NO CA sites listed and current ones removed.

These changes and those that are coming may mean the end of www.theavslist.com as well..:(

Look at it this way, this just means more traffic to send someplace else.

Pulling all the CA sites on mine tonight as well - and no more AVS links will soon be the norm - unless someone gets some frigging brains and figures out a better way

just a heads up...when I try to go to www.link-o-rama.com I get redirected to massearch.com....

I've run ad aware and AVG anti-virus...both came up clean - searched the web and found nothin about it too - might be something on your end...

Happens with persiankitty.com as well...

I Think I'm just going to delete my whole fucking AVS category....

EclectiXXX..thats what I did until all of this gets sorted out...Im getting tired of chasing stuff only to have to do it again the following week

All I did was convert my sites to tour pages for my pay sites :)

That sucks! I will be removing all AVS sites with today's update as well.

As soon as I finish backing up that domain the AVS Category gets deleted...

Now.. what to do withmy own 650 Cyberage sites.... I think I need that server wide search and replace utility, time to install a frame buster script...

I don't mind making changes if that's what they need to do to be compliant with Visa. But there needs to be an announcement & they need to give webmasters time to do it.

Not, "change your scripts this week & everything is OK". Then a few weeks later..."oh yeah, can you go back & also change .htaccess & your sponsor links? Right NOW because nothing works until you've changed it. Thanks!"

Seems it gets worse...

The link that cyberage provide to your members area on their new FPA can be copied and pasted into any browser window thereby bypassing your htaccess... |waves|

Seems to me like Cyberage are not the sharpest tool in the box. |skull|

I nailed that coffin real good and burried it already a year ago. What amazes me is that they didn't see all this crap all the rest of webmasters saw the same day they introduced their new idiocy. It looks like they have NO idea about what they are doing.

I like to see when idiots shoot themselves in the foot, tho :)
