It's looking good :D
This is #10 for Lesbian Porn at the moment...
How do pages like that slip in there between LL's? Way to go, Google. |thumb |
Did someone read that Britney article?? :D
Pretty soon we will see the hot sizzeling Jenna Jameson / Britney Spears video all over the internet |bow

That is strange, since the article is over 2 years old, but SE's like news type sites a lot, so I can see why it's in there :)
My new domain is showing up for some of my key phrases
Im seeing some major changes in the SERPs where they are dropping millions of sites - but this is what they normally do at the beginning of an update - the results for the keyword that I monitor for updates just dropped from 350 mill results to around 70 mill so somethings definitely afoot :)
Google is definately not my friend today. I wish they'd make up their mind on whether or not they love me.
Maybe google is shuffling to see if it's new href attribue rel="nofollow" is working with blogs.
I see major changes rolling out - looks like they have 3 different databases that they are playing with - which usually (in my humble opinion) means an update is on its way - I wouldnt be surprised to see everything go to shit for a few days
yeap the dance is on - a BL update I hope will follow - What do you think linkster ?? too soon for another..
plateman - dont really see any real dancing yet - looks like they are still just playing with different versions of the database trying to nail down the right variant of the algo
As far as backlinks - its about due - so it wouldnt surprise me in the next 3 or 4 days |
I think its about time for google to do his updates so many junk is showing up right now and they defenetly should update the BL i checked almost all of my categories are have 16BL instead of 100+ |pimpin
When did this start? I've been seeing more and more google traffic over the last couple of weeks, might be coincidence.
LB - saw the first glimpse of it about 4 days ago - then it dissapeared - and then reappeared overnight yesterday - its a long way from being anywhere near complete - if its even going to be a full update??? - it may just be them playing with the wrong color buttons again

Some of these smilies are great, haha. When you guys talk about this BL update, are you talking about something that will hurt blog listings in google, or did i misread something? Thanks for any info. |thumb |
backlink up dates are just where Google adjusts the number of sites they think are important linking to you - its one of the things that determines how you place in the SERPs (Search Engine Rank Position) and is normally a part of the Google update process (usually afterwards) that kinda gives you an indicator of when the update is close to being finished.
Oh, ok backlinks! Did i read somewhere that Google is about to penalize blogs, or am I just that damn tore up? :D
Yeah - I think you might have read some of the misinformation posted out there by the guys that know the value of blogs :) Figure Google owns Blogger - theyre not about to penalize their own stuff :)
The blog thing I mentioned I was curious about since I'd seen talk of it and announcement of it on google itself. About that nofollow attrib for href tags.
I took it to mean that some popular blog software makers, in conjunction with google yahoo and msn, were going to help site owners to stop spiders from following the bulk of irrelevant links in posts. I dont "blog" myself, but I assumed it meant that only certain people could post links that were allowed to be followed, so as to keep things relevant. Is that the way it's supposed to be working? I've been toying with the idea of placing the attribute on select links to see any effect. |
That no follow tag thing was all a big publicity stunt!
The blog owners out there whined that they had all kinds of people running post bots and filling up their comments with spam - of course anyone of those blog owners could have done some real simple Webmastering and prevented them - well the SEs decided they wanted to look "good" to the public in "their fight against spam" so they agreed to announce they would honor the tag nofollow in links. The only problem with all of this is that those same whiney cant do anything for themselves blog owners are now going to have to go edit every one of their comment form links :) which wont happen and eveyone will still be spammin blogs just as much |
And here I was thinking that the only reason people were'nt talking about it was because they just didnt know about it, lol :)

Interesting Linkster.
All or most of the adult bloggers I know, post themselves, and dont allow others to post. Well, accept the tnb community blog. |
Linkster, I think you will find that the blogs owned and operated by the big companies will become compliant almost immediately, as they just have to make one software mod and all existing sites will get hit (unless they are not sharing code).
I think that other blog software makers will move towards making their blogs compliant, as it is the "right thing to do" in this very socially aware community. However, the people who WON"T fix it are the people who are most abusing this situation by creating literally hundreds of private blogs and stocking them with "comments" that are nothing more than links to their own stuff. These people will have no earthly reason to want to shut down or modify their blog pages. It will probably never go away completely, but it will get reduced... by how much is anyone's guess! Alex edited because I keep typing "blob" instead of blog! |
One thing I did notice is that on G's announcement page about their new anti-comment spam thing, they have that Dave Barry blog as an example... so they are watching, even if apart from that they can/will do fuck all to stop people gaming their algo.
Blog (or any) spam tends to force legit sites into PPC anyway. |
Thought that This
article was an interesting view given how much we all hate guys like this. |angry
The thing that gets me - as much as we hate the way these guys do this spamming - is that in order for it to work, the blog owners have to make it easy to post comments from an outside source instead of using a very simple htaccess command. But then with all of the idiots running their own blog now - it isnt hard to believe.
And I can guarantee not a one of those blog owners is gonna take the time to type a line of code into their links if they cant type a line into their comments log :) |
What htaccess command are you talking about? Adding the correct referrer header is one line of code... the whole open comments thing is just stupid.
I am seeing some movement again for some pages - nothing major but something is definitely up
Yea...its moving.....cat terms are FULL of spam/blog....so expect this stuff to shuffle around.....
WOW google booted me to the basement - help
Give it some time - this thing is long from finished playing :)
Another thing I noticed is that new categories pages are being added into the Google index with blinding speed - pages I just put up 4 days ago are already ranking and GGs new cats are already in the top 20 with no problem :)
