Who would you use to build Hosted Free Sites?

Hiya folks,

I need a little help, and need some work done, so I'm back to ask the people who know about these things. I hope my subject line isn't crossing any lines I don't know about, but that is really what I want to know.

You see, we want to add Hosted Free Sites built to our affiliate program, and we definitely want our hosted free sites picked up and used by Link List owners, so I'd like to do this right.

Hmm... actually I realize I do have some easier questions first...

We're figuring to start with 30 to 40 hosted free sites and then add at least 1 a day from then on. So my first questions are: is that enough to start with, and is 1 a day enough to add on a continuing basis?

Okay, now for the harder questions...

I'd like to have our hosted free sites built by free site makers who already know how to build what Link List owners have been saying they needed here on the board. For instance, we don't want to add 30 look-alike template-based free sites. I'd like them to look different from each other, different colors, layouts, text, graphics, etc. We'd want each one to have a theme of some sort, based on the content of that site. And we'd want all basic link list rules followed, particularly the rules of the bigger lists.

So my Big question is: who should I use to build our free sites?

I'm interested in hearing from builders who'd like to make free sites for us, of course. But I'd also be very interested to hear from any other affiliate program operators who've used particular free site makers and subsequently had good results getting their hosted free sites picked up and listed. And I'd be most grateful for any suggestions or referrals from link list owners themselves.

I'd like to find someone (or a couple of people) to work with on an ongoing basis, so if there are a few free site builders out there who are the ones we really *should* be using, please feel free to point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer.

Simon

How much are you going to pay per free hosted site?
Are you going to order a graphic design or complete html code with descriptions?

docholly 2005-03-28 05:41 PM

Tart.. she has several people on this board she's contracted with to build HFS for and is pretty reasonably priced and yes i'm her |pimpin

I don't know what we'll wind up paying, but it will be the going rate for good work (defined as: the kind that link list owners will use). So far the people who've contacted me have been in the same general ballpark. I won't post their prices here though, since they didn't post them in this thread.

As far as what we'll order, it will be a mix of free site designs, some selling mostly by text and others using a bit more graphics. Graphics will incorporate some of what we already have, plus new designs I'm sure.

Thanks for the recommendations DocHolly and Swedguy!
Simon, you can also reach me thru the PM system on the board. I'm afraid I don't have a portfolio as when I'm not building sites for others, I'm building them for myself. :) I'd be happy to give you referrals to check and samples of my work.

Simon 2005-03-29 12:44 PM

Tommy, Swedguy, DocHolly -- Thanks for the advice!

Tart -- will be sending you a message now.

Urb -- if you see this, I'm sending you a note too.

Thank you Tommy :D

But, sorry Simon :( I'm fully booked for quite a while.

Sodo 2005-03-29 03:52 PM

I could do it!

Hi Simon,

I have been building free sites for a long long time, but if anyone would recommend me I don't know, I usually get listed with all the big link lists and if I don't get listed it's usually because of the content I suspect.

I don't know if greenguy or any of the other link list owners will recommend me!

Anyway im ready to build!

Kind regards
Sodo

Simon, Tart has done work for me and I would recommend her. Good price, good service, good person.

No problem, Urb, glad to see you're busy! Maybe we can do something in the future.

Hiya folks,

I'm going to post this follow-up instead of starting a new thread, to see if I can get some more replies here. I really appreciate the suggestions I've gotten for free site builders we could use. And we've had some very nice sites designed already. But we want to be able to supply more, so I'm asking again for any suggestions on who else we could use... who builds nice free sites that link list owners like?

I'm a little sensitive right now about using site builders who don't have recommendations from known webmasters. We just tried that with a builder known on this board -- didn't check references, sent money in advance -- and are still waiting for any sites or even an email reply. Good money thrown away that time.

So... I'm here hoping to find a couple of additional builders as back ups to be sure we can always deliver what we promise here.

If you're a link list owner who has someone to recommend, or if you've had someone build good free sites for you, or if you build them yourself (and have a way we can check you out), please either post a reply in this thread or contact me via PM or email.

Thanks in advance for any feedback,

Simon

Sorry I missed seeing your reply earlier. I did a search for user name "Viking" and didn't find anyone. Do you mean someone who uses another name on the board? I did find a BigVikingAl but I'm not sure if that's who you meant.

Thanks! I definitely agree about Tart -- but if I was anymore "all over her" about this one I think she'd go on strike. ::grin::

I'll certainly check with docholly to see if we can do something. Thanks!

I could try to make some sites for you. I'll provide you with designs, and then if like them you'll provide me with money. :)
drop me a pm with some samples of what you need. I never used to make fhs but have an experience in building usual freesites, so I think I could help you.

swedguy 2005-05-11 06:38 PM

Tart, I would hope that you were included in that package deal ;)

Btw. when do you have a slot open for some work?

Tart 2005-05-11 07:04 PM

Depends on the work :) I've got icq on so feel free to get ahold of me when you have the chance.

Yep, she sure has been... latex and leather, crosses and chains, cuffs and collars, roped redheads, gagged glamor girls, pillories, clamps, corsets and... well, you know... ::wink::

As far as I'm concerned... Tart's a good argument for cloning.

:::Forget the sheep, clone more Tarts!:::

P.S. Yes, I'm still looking for more builders to make sites like those.

P.P.S. Just to be clear... we don't have any sheep on our site. :D

Well... hmmm... yes, I do seem to have some accessories around.
In fact, I think you've seen a few hanging on the wall behind August Lee.

Simon ::grinning::
