Happy Saturday Everyone - Don't Forget To Change Your Clocks!

1 Attachment(s)
Good Saturday to you & yours |lovers|

Woke up around 5:30 to the sound of rain pounding on the roof. By 6 it had changed to this slushy mix of snow & rain & now it's just dreary looking outside.

Watched a couple of movies last night - Closer was pretty good, but I was hoping to see a little more nudity from Portman :D We also watched Finding Neverland which was a very good move, despite the fact that Michael Jackson was not in it molesting small children :D

Oh yeah - he's the spoilers - Julia Roberts ends up with Clive Owen & Jude Law ends up with his dick in his hand. Kate Winslet dies.

I have no major plans for today but I am hoping to get to the end of this thread/project so that I can get started on my stats for Jan thru March :)

OH YEAH! Don't forget to change your clocks tonight :D

Kinky 2005-04-02 07:50 AM

changing clocks is for those people that live in those time zones where you have to do work... I'm a lazy fuck therefore I live in AZ where the clocks don't change :D everybody have a great saturday ;)

Cleo 2005-04-02 07:56 AM

Morning all :)

Season finally of Battlestar Galactica was last night. Now I have to wait until July to see what the Cylons are up to.

Woke up with a sight headache, hoping that it goes away so that I can do the gym today.

are you single? :D if not it would still be nice to know at least one webmaster in the area ( I just skipped the Phx Forum all weekend because I had nobody to go with me) where are you moving to?

Cleo 2005-04-02 08:11 AM

I hate changing clocks. :(

It isn't at bad as back in the old days when none of my clocks did this automatically but I still have a bunch that I have to do by hand. Bakelite antique wall clock that my father stole from the ship he served on in WW2, clock in the Vette, microwave, stove, sure I have others that I can't remember right now.

Personally I like daylight savings time and wish that we were on it year round.

move to Arizona... FL might be a bit humid but 120 degrees in the summer will make you love changing your clocks in Florida :D

Cleo 2005-04-02 08:27 AM

At least you don't have hurricanes.
Hurricane expert foresees flurry of named storms
They are mostly just an inconvenience, putting up storm shutters, taking them down, losing electric, but my house is built for them so I just hope that this year no more trees fall over and go through my roof.

On the plus side I just found out that I will have a very nice tax write off due to storm losses not to mention I love my new remodeled home. I addition to my windstorm insurance I'm going to get full homeowner's insurance this year. I've only had dwelling insurance instead of homeowner's insurance for the past ten years but now with all the renovations that I did I figure that it would be a good idea to have full homeowners. Not that it matters in the case of a hurricane since dwelling or homeowners does not cover windstorm so that is why most people get a separate windstorm insurance. Being as I'm so close to the ocean I'm in the state's high risk pool. I can only imagine what my windstorm rates are going to be this year.

|pink Whohohoo.. Morning it's OTB day.. |mml|

I have to move 17 cases of candles out of my car and into my house before the sun is high otherwise i'll have a car full of liquid soy wax.

Then i think we're planting today.. I got 3 more cute pink flamingos to put in the garden. My son planted herbs in leftover Folger's red cannisters to add some "color" to the drab desert brown. and it's time to put the succulants in the ground..

I changed my mind sorry... I am moving to Cleo to sunny Florida :D

|hurricane

Cleo 2005-04-02 09:00 AM

Yeah that 120 MPH wind does make it feel much cooler then the 95°F with 95% humidity would feel without the breeze. :D

I heard last night that we are supposed to get the worst flooding in the past 20 years today and tonight. Oh well, it's not my house anymore :)

Useless 2005-04-02 09:15 AM

I'm here, but I didn't get much sleep. Spent most of the night mopping up my pools of tears that were scattered throughout the house due to this whole Gabbo thing. I see rough times ahead. |cry|

But, it's time to get another cup of coffee and stare unendingly at my monitor while trying to figure out how to make money while doing nothing.

never fear UW... you own buttplugballfan.com.... if things get really bad you can fall back on that ;) I wonder what Jim thinks when he wakes up and sees that his board has been taken over by buttplug (Butt Plug) lovers?

One doesn't want to fall back on a buttplugballfan. You could shear your balls right off if the fan is turned on. It's something that should be inserted cautiously by a pair of steady hands. :D

Congress passed the first DST law in 1918 and repealed it the next year. Franklin Delano Roosevelt imposed year-round DST for three years during the Second World War. In 1966, Congress approved a uniform DST standard for the whole country. In the 1970s, Richard Nixon had the nation go on DST for 15 consecutive months in order to conserve energy. The last president to modify DST was Ronald Reagan, who advanced DST's start date to the first Sunday in April.
