So where are you guys hiding the links for the Hosted Free Sites? :D

Good question. On the main page, as soon as you log in there is a table (at the top it says news) below that is our hosted galleries and below that is our freesites for this week (it's our first week, first DAY ever) for having them on the site :)
also, if you go to the gallery builder, make your selections and click generate. on the next page that it opens your given the option of choosing freesites or galleries and the variables you want to export them with... ex:{url}|{description}|{num} as well as making it compatible with a lot of the TGP and trade scripts.

You can also find them by logging in and click the gallery builder link if you want to export the freesites instead of just copy and paste. Exporting them you get the freesites link with your id plus number of pics and discription

Yes, I did see the ones on the 1st page, but since they will be changing each week, I just went to look for the normal list 1st.

IMHO the way you have it, it's really hard to find them & had I not been going from the board to the program, I would have stopped looking & went on with my day.

A few links that actually say "Hosted Free Sites" next to all the links that contain a variation of the word "gallery" would be very helpful :)

Also, I think you're confusing "description" with "title" on the export thing for the HFS.

Slight error on the sign up form...
I tried to sign up using a valid absolute URL, but it's probably because IE is showing an error on line 651.

Nice things you got there, I could use a bunch of tranny galleries and freesites actually...

Oh yeah, your signup form doesn't accept dashes in the "last name" field, my name has one, so I had to use a fake name :D

Yep your right GG, the description we use would be considered the title for a freesite, thats just the variable that the script has been using up till now. I am looking at the possibility of adding a title variable now (well not me because I know exactly zero about coding, but someone who does IS heh heh)

here is what I have found out so far Urb.
we did several test sing ups and everything worked fine for them with no errors. We are still looking at the problem you had and see if we can track it down in the code and fix it for ya. We have also had a few more webmasters sign up since you posted the line 651 error with no problems reported to us yet.
dang thats why scripts make me crazy!

urb, I had the same problem when I used the url with http:// but it went thru when I dropped the http://

Now I am just waiting to get approved :D

Thanks CrazySy for finding that workaround. That explains why some of the webmasters dont include http:// in the URL :D but still we would prefer to have it perfect so we have mansion and our guys looking at it to resolve it (same with the dang prompt that comes up when you go to the main page)

Oh, and good news. I just approved ya! it may take a few minutes for you to receive the approval e mail, but you should be able to log into the site now (make sure you check out the webmaster appreciation giveaway....its our first and we are kinda proud of it :) )

Sure CrazySy, just click on the button at the top that says resource area (hopefully tomorrow it will be named Promo Material) and that will show you what we currently have and we will be adding to that on a weekly basis in the next few week :)

Am I missing something or is there no way to get both a title and a description on the free site export?

The "description" field is actually the title, so you'll have to write up your own descriptions - I've been speaking with Jim about making a few things a bit better for future sites :)

Cleo we will be having the programmer fix this as quickly as we can. Hopefully by friday we will have this changed so you can get both title and discription.

Sorry that I havent gotten back here to reply to your question Cleo, I was out for most of the day. Looks like SexyCityBrian already kinda answered this question for you in a way.

YEA! the programmer fixed this issue. You can now put in {url}|{title}|{description} and it will generate it for you.
I just wouldnt do it yet LOL still in the process of editing ALL the freesites we have made.
Also, and i will be upfront about this. the freesites we have alreay made (probably around a 100 or so) still kind of have the templately feel to them. Solid designs, but the darn warning pages and menu pages are ssimilar to say the least. However, that will no longer be the case. :D

Thanks Gonzo.......Yeah we are still working the kinks out but we are very happy with what we have added to the program over the last week.

Oh for everyone, the freesites all NOW have titles and descriptions on the warning pages and all of the freesites being made right now will have them on them without all this hassle. My galleries/freesites designer has signed up (SexyCityEddie) and as he starts designing them differently I am sure he will ask for any imput or feedback you guys can give. These are the first freesites he has ever done :)

I think I know why as well Cleo. At the top of the export tool your given 2 options, galleries or freesites. you had galleries selected which doesnt have a title, if you select the freesite option, it will generate the list with the titles in them :)

I am very glad that you asked me that question here though Cleo I really am. If it was easy for you to miss then others might have the same problem, but they can see the answer right in this thread.
I am going to add a line of text to that top area that says please select either ()Galleries or ()Freesites. :)

that change has been made, now it reads Please Select Either 0Galleries or 0Freesites at the top.
