Happy Sunday

Welcome to Sunday All :) Man I sure could use a bacon sandwich :D But the coffee is on :)

Kinky 2005-04-24 09:13 AM

mmmmmmm did somebody say bacon? morning everybody

Cleo 2005-04-24 09:23 AM

Spent most of yesterday ripping out the last of my deck. I got up early this morning and put the last of this month's pile street side. I still have to do cleanup of the trash and concrete blocks that was under the deck, but the deck itself is gone. I made one big pile in front of my house for Monday's bulk trash pickup and an even bigger pile behind my fence that I'll put out for bulk trash pickup over the next few months. I'm planing on fixing the sprinklers and planting grass over the next few weeks once I get all the crap that was under it cleaned up. Wow am I sore!

No pig flesh here but I am having tofu and macaroni for breakfast. :D

swedguy 2005-04-24 09:47 AM

Ohhhh, bacon. My juices started flowing.... I need bacon :D

Useless 2005-04-24 09:50 AM

No outside work for me today. The rain keeps a' falling on my head. So I suppose I'm stuck inside doing web-type things. Damned web.

As for coffee, I've been drinking it since 7:30. I just need to pee.

Cleo 2005-04-24 10:00 AM

Why is it that once you actually complete something the muscle pain kicks in?

I just want to sit in my office chair all day doing nothing but |potleaf| and be a vegetable but I'm on cat duty with my neighbor's cats so I'm going to have to actually get dressed and go over there…

I guess I really should do some web work too so as to keep the green flowing. I'm glad that I have a very light mouse.

Hey now, who left only half a cup and didn't make a fresh pot?

I've neglected my main site for a while, need to spend the day updating galleries with fresh content.

BTW, I brought donuts. Help yourself ;)

Greenguy 2005-04-24 10:22 AM

...and on the 7th day, |buddy| rested |zzzzzzzzz

Good Sunday Everyone |waves|

Well, it fucking snowed last night - not a lot & it's pretty much melted away now, but this global warming crap has to stop :D

Had a bunch of people over last night & played cards & watched the race - ended up sleeping in til 9 which is very late for me.

I woke up to the cable company finally giving us On Demand so I think I'll be on the couch playing with that all day :)

swedguy 2005-04-24 10:47 AM

My neighbors are smoking some heavy stuff. They've been singing for over on hour now. I haven't figured out what it is yet. But it sounds like a mix between opera, rock concert and wife beating.

Cleo 2005-04-24 10:55 AM

Damn I just looked at what I did… and even took pics. :D
www.cleoslinks.com/crap/deck-be-gone/

I think I'll take one or two of those donuts now. :)

Sir Horny 2005-04-24 11:12 AM

Good Sunday all. Hey, Cleo. I see that you're in Ft. Laud. I'm going to be there with my bro (Pornhero - www.iadultwebmaster.com/) next weekend. Apparently there is an air show on and the beaches are suppose to be happening. What else is there to do in Ft. Laud? What spots should I be hitting? I haven't been away in a while and I want to make sure that I party as hard as possible - in fact, I don't even want to remember the trip when I get back :) Anyone else from the Fort Lauderdale area?

Cleo 2005-04-24 11:20 AM

The air show is right over where I live, turns my neighborhood into a traffic jam noisy living hell.

As far as what there is to do it depends on what you like doing. Lots of club life both straight and gay. Horse and dog tracks plus off shore gambling on big ships that go out and then back in. Lots of restaurants and shopping.

Local newspaper

I don't know if you are straight or gay so here is a gay guild

If I ever do any outside building, I'm going to use that plastic wood substitute. I've been told by a friend not to use the fiberglass stuff if you intend to lay on it to sunbathe. :)

Something like this:
http://www.plasticlumberyard.com/photogallery.htm

They are thinking this might be the last year for the McDonalds Air and Sea show in Ft. Lauderdale. Once they figure out a way to cover up the sky for those that aren't paying, revenues will increase and it will be back.

Cleo 2005-04-24 11:29 AM

I looked at the plastic wood when I built this deck but the cost would have been outrageous, then again I did rip it all out about 8 years after it was built.

A lot of the problem with it was the ficus trees lifting it up and breaking it. Also since it was just resting on blocks when the hurricanes hit they eroded the soil under them.

Then there was the problem of each year it becoming a slimy mess and having to be pressure cleaned each year.

I think doing pavers would be the way to go. They shouldn't cost more then building a deck out of the plastic wood. I'm just planting grass for now but may do some pavers in the future.

Nice. I've always wanted a love swing in the yard :D

docholly 2005-04-24 11:40 AM

*turning her eyes away from HGTV*

...Cleo..no forthcumming content shots of FA in a toolbelt, or perhaps on that schwing..oh wait..its not red velvet..

and now back to the weather.. we had thunder storms here last night.. and the last time there were temps in the 40s at the end of april in Lost Wages was probably when the Mammoths and Anzai roamed the desert. ok no mammoths in the desert.. but it was a long fucking time ago.. but then there is no global warming.. just something made up by the "hollywood liberals" to get rednecks to give up their hard earned red dollars...

...hopefully i'll finish my site update today.. geeze that's dragging out a long time.. but not until i make another pot of coffee..

|waves| have a good one!!

Funny that you should mention the swing. I had to lower it since the deck was gone and this time I made it so that the height could be easily changed as needed so as to be able to use it for outdoor shoots. We've been using a real sex swing in shoots over at Angel's and discovered that just an inch or two makes all the difference in usability depending on who is doing the poking, if they are in high heels, and what gender the receiver is in the swing.

Personally I don't care for sex in a swing at all but I do enjoy just relaxing and swinging in it feeling like a big kid. :)

MrYum 2005-04-24 11:44 AM

Our deck and dock at the old house was small and cost about $5k. It is a quarter round deck with about a 15 foot dock. But, nothing like rot has ever shown up.

Cleo 2005-04-24 02:52 PM

My deck was almost 2000 square feet

Trev 2005-04-24 05:42 PM

cool pics, Cleo. So, your back yard was mostly deck? I knew it had to be big with how many days it was taking you.

It was all deck, everywhere there is dirt now there was decking. At one time there was a big above ground jacuzzi in the middle of it.

I had white carpets so I decked the whole back yard so as not to have guests track dirt in.

I took a chain saw to the jacuzzi a few years ago after it sat unused for a long time and I got sick of maintenance on it.

White carpets are gone too replaced by tile.

This is what it looked like before the trees got big and I decked the whole backyard.

Not sure who the slut is in the middle of the pic. :D

This is the same spot now

ahh... No wonder it took so long. See, we're all to far away. I used to work demolition/construction in my teens. I know my way around a pry bar and a sledgehammer (I don't do humidity tho )

So that was your 80's big hair? Needed a little more height on top, although I guess that was hard to do with the humidity in Florida. You'd have to use enough hair spray to kill us all. |shocking|

Sounds like you have the rest of your spring planned out. Hope the really hot weather holds off for you. And don't forget.... we'll all want to see pics when you're done :D

Big hair, big nails, big shoulder pads, big shoes, the eighties were big. At least what little of them I can remember. :D

One day I'll have to go digging through boxes of crap for pics from back then and have some flash backs. The only reason that I have that pic on my HD is way back when I started Cleo's Links I scanned it in to make the logo. I would have never guessed that when I posed for my other half to take some pics of me in the backyard of my new house it would end up in the logo of a porn site. |shocking|

Grande Finale hair spray, humidity proof. In fact damn near impossible to wash out of your hair. I see they still sell it. www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1362/600025

A little chuckle for Sunday evening :)

Late this afternoon...had the pocket sliding door open to the pool area as usual. Well, my dog...Einstein (yes, that's really his name...lol)...cute little cocker spaniel...who HATES the water...

Einstein sees a junvenile racoon in the backyard...same lil coon has been hanging here for over a month now. Well, EINSTEIN sees the coon...walks out to the pool area through the open pocket doors...and WALKS RIGHT INTO THE POOL! SPLASH! LMAO!

Yea, he deserves his name! LOL!

I'm still laughing...lol

Oh, here's a few pics of the new digs in Florida...there's a couple of my genius dog in there too :)

You have a nice size bit of property. How far is it to a 7/11 or a large indoor shopping mall?

They are so cute

At least until they find the cat door and come into your house.

Beautiful property, Mr Yum and congratulations too!

MrYum 2005-04-24 10:48 PM

Yea, he is awfully cute :)

Lil sucker sits up in one of the big oak trees and plays with his feet...or yanks off twigs to play with...lol.

House is only ten years old...built to the new hurricane standards (hell, my windows are rated for 140mph winds)...so he'd have to gnaw through cinder block or metal to get in the house...lol. Don't have any dog/cat doors...obviously, my dog needs supervision when he goes out! LOL!

There's a 2 year old publix 3 minutes away...great store! Along with a pizza place, chinese food, hair salon, pool supplies...etc..

For serious shopping, Port Charlotte is 15 minutes away...with home depot, walmart, sears...pretty much anything one could want/need/stand! lol

It was the property that convinced me to buy the house. The lot is a bit over 1/3 acre. But, there's another 1/4 acre or so behind the fence that's city owned land I have an exclusive use easement on. Since the property backs up to a fresh water canal...with green belt on the other side...it feels HUGE out back...and VERY private...I like private...gets the gf to walk around nekkid a LOT! hehehe
