Warning about (alleged) scammer/designer on this board
 

This post is regarding someone who posts as "Q-Man" on this board. We sent him money last month for design work which we did not do. He does not respond to ICQ messages or emails now. We've waited as long as reasonable, but now I think it's time to pass along the warning.

More details in several threads on this board, just search for "scammer" and check the threads started by Q-man for comments about him.

I've sent information to a friend in the Netherlands, where this rip-off artist supposedly lives.

If anyone else has been hit by this guy and would like to do something about it, my NL friend is willing to set the Dutch law on him. We'd just need whatever evidence you may have of his defrauding you.

He scammed me too. I'd love to take legal action against him.

I gave him $340 on April 3 and was promised that I'd get my sites on April 14th. Didn't get them. I caught him on ICQ on April 22nd and he told me that he'd been ill and was behind one week and promised to get me my sites in the next week. He never delivered and doesn't reply to email.

Thanks for the informative message. He once approached me as well but I turned him down when he became suspicious. :(

Juan was busted out months ago on Oprano with yet another name and company. Maybe he is The Butcher's biz partner?

Juan is a moronic cocksucker. I worked for him very briefly about a year ago. I had the simple task of creating thumbs for a certain sponsor's FHGs. Only a complete fucktard like Juan could make that gig a true pain in the ass. He bids on jobs, THEN he goes in search of cheap labor to do the work. (He refers to himself as 'a thinker'.) He's a disorganized piece of shit that represents himself as a design company, but it's all bullshit. He has no employees - just random flunkies like me doing little bits of each job for him.

I believe that Forest now employs a few of the designers who were ripped off by Juan.

I also believe that Forest designed TheButcher's teen tour.

I've only known Juan from the now defunct Heaven Productions. Isn't JFK the guy who posts pics for FUBAR Webmasters? Totally different persons as far as I know.

Yeah JFK does the convention pics and I've meet him in person at the conventions.

Whew....I am glad I didn't run into these guys when I was looking for a design. I found a wonderful designer in Bulgaria and felt it was really taking a chance .. but she made my site pages, corresponded with me daily via ICQ and sent me all of the PSD files before I even paid her. Now that's the way to do business! She trusted me and now I completely trust her and her team. And I had the same experience with the wonderful guy in Brazil who did my cartoon. I got the pics before I paid. Too bad there are so many "losers" in this business. I fell victim to hosting companies in the past so maybe I paid my victim dues big time and it was time for my break.

i think there was a board owned by the name Juan before.
He used to outsource those designs to people in different countries then this Juan charged his clients higher than what he's paying.

He is the same, but he was using JKF, not JFK..

I'm getting the Dutch police involved, Interpol, etc.. He comes from a wealthy family and really has no business stealing money from people.

JFK and Fubar is TOTALLY different from JKF, JKF Entertainments, and Heaven Productions.

JKF, JKF Entertainments and Heaven Productions are all JUAN! He also runs Qservers and fetishwebmasterclub.

This scammer told me he was refunding our payment via epassporte last week but never did it, and he dropped out of contact again.

Let me know what you find out about his family, father, etc. I have friends in The Netherlands and we'd be interested in making this crook's life much more unpleasant than he seems to think it can become.

i think this is a wake up call to other webmasters!

You should always do your due diligence before hiring a person or company to do your work! There are plenty of reputable firms eager for your business. I hope you get your money back.

and if you don't know that particular designer, then don't put your TRUST in him to avoid this sort of problem.
