Any Other Link List Owners Pulling Banners
 

Hi I am really thinking about getting rid of all banners on my list because of the 2257 stuff, for one right now its hard to find softcore and it takes to long to code new freash banners unless you have a rotator and I dont want to dick with that plus a LL doesnt need banners IMHO thats what the pay links are for..

I personally think an ALL text links list would be boring. Plus Majority of surfers are men and men are more visual. Just my two cents...:)

Got busy laughing at UW's post and forgot to reply to Plateman...oops!

Nope...not yet anyway. In the midst of a new batch of sites atm. Soon as that's done, will be creating a site hit list...based on what info we have at that time. Got a hunch we'll be hearing more on this in the next week or so.

Might end up pulling banners on FPP, or if I have time (yea right...lol)...might even create my own banners with fully doc'ed content.

I'm leaving the banners up on my LL also. Kind of the "wait and see" way.

I pulled most of the banners off of my LL not because of the 2257 stuff, but the impression to click ratio was crappy. I was running a banner rotator with stats and I would check the stats. I think surfers know that a banner leads to pop-up hell paysite so they stay way. I use text links and pack my list with my own FS and links. Plus now my LL loads faster this way. Pulled them on my thumbnail TGP as well. FHG are now my ads..

I've been wanting to go to a text only site for some time now - this clintches it!

I've got half a million images on a thousand websites to document and cross-reference before I worry about the banners. I expect to be plugging away at the job for a few years.

I have made an all text copy of my LL that I will put up on the 22nd if there is no legal action taken to stop the new regulations from going into effect

I was just looking at some of my hardcore banners and I started pulling on myself. Is that what you mean py pulling banners?
