Well, look at it this way - would you rather send 2 million hits to other people or 800k hits to your own galleries?

Heh, I understand this. Question is how to keep reasonable balance, I know he lists some partners too (well, I was never listed at AL4A, and it seems only paid spots will be availabe to me). But he lost his bookmarkers last months, for sure. And it is so hard to build big site with good traffic. He makes more money now, but he will spend the same money to go back to 1mil+ daily.

But nevermind, I am too small player in this biz :)

I think in the long run you will loose traffic by listing mostly sponsor and paid spot galleries.

I saw this thread on another board today and I also noticed Carlas Choice @ number 44 on the sextracker list. Anyone remember Actorguy? :)

Actorguy has had his site toying with 200K daily for a while now.

Oh and I agree. Listing just sponsor galleries is not good to keep bookmarkers. Didn't JJJ's drop in traffic from doing that for a while. And Al4a use to list me all the time but I'm not feeling any love anymore. lol

Thehun only cares about one thing. Giving his bookmarkers good quality galleries to keep his traffic up so he can keep selling those top 15 spots. I don't blame him one bit, I'd do it too. And he does list regular webmasters including me occassionally. As does Worldsex.

Carlas Choice has very nice traffic. Enough that I go through the trouble to make an oddball thumb for his TGP that no one else uses.

Surfers aren't stupid, well some are, and will find, surf and bookmark the better sites.

It is getting harder and harder to get decent listings as we are now competing with our very own sponsors.

Big numbers mean shit.!

Am I getting senile? I thought Carla's Choice is using 90x120 pixel thumbs... I should know since I have a password wth him for well over ½ year... That's not an odd size! I have at least 10 sites in my list requiring 90x120 - the first ever was Jpeg4Free if I remember rightly. |peace|

I do not submit to many places so maybe it is just my submit list, but all the rest on my list want 88x88.

I'm also not somebody who submits to 100s of TGPs every day - I might do some 80 or so by hand (and Roboform) every other day, but still there are close to 10 now who are taking 90x120 thumbs (quite a number are moving away from 88x88).

So did Joseph Kennedy and look how far his family went..

It's funny this topic should come up actually. One of the places where i submit my cam girls for really focused directed traffic has changed their policy, which is their right to do so, and is now saying that all girls submitted must have a referrer and be a pay site. Again i can understand that. They were really good about using the Th.com/Camdollies to fill in when they didn't have submits from amateur pay sites.

No problem.. i figured that they were trying to tighten up their traffic flow.. until i went to look at the site.. every "amateur" on the page this month is either from Mike's Apartment, MILF Hunter or one of numerous hosted galleries.. i only counted 3 of the listings as truly amateur and one of them is an affliate.

Of course they are still billing themselves as the #1 Amateur site on the net.. and while they have about 80K bookmarkers..once they get tired of seeing "the hot redhead from the grocery store" ..they will move on..

i even understand, tho i don't like it, the concept of redirecting gallery postings to bump the traffic..

but this site has a great following.. has hundreds if not 1000's of members.. and TRUST me dealing with the 1 girl-1site webmasters/camho/i know everything i need to know and more is NOT easy..

I wish her luck in her site.. i hope it makes bazillions of dollars..I'm just sad that it went that route..

After the last day or two.... I firmly believe this too. :)

Regarding thumb size my experience (via bw) is that the larger the thumbs (I do 130-150 on the long side) the less they click on the entire gallery opening all the big pics. With the bigger thumbs the only open the ones that appeal to them.

Sure if they are clicking pics I didn't sell them, but no one can prevent leeches. |angry|

Here's something that will probably blow all of thise right out of the water - al4a no longer has a ST counter on his site.

Those 700K hits are people hitting old or cached pages.

They pulled their counters a few months ago, so those numbers are way off.

Just looked at the daily stats for the hun.

Current = 708,073
Forecast = 2,512,669
Average = 1,756,635

I have been posting nothing but free hosted galleries, galleries I have built yself and private submissions for the past year.

Not only is my total unique traffic is up by about 15%, but
my new bookmarkers are up by a whopping 70% (As of today this month has yeilded 124,000+ new bookmarkers. A year and a 1/2 ago I was getting about 20K new bookmarkers a month)

I had a custom back end built to house and manage my free hosted galleries.
Currently in the system I have over 220 sponsors representing about 75,000 free hosted galleries. In theory that means if I post 500 a day, every day, I wouldn't see the same gallery show up for the next 5 months.

We are adding 200 - 500 new galleries into the system almost every other day now. Within the next 4 months, I expect to easily pass the 100,000 gallery mark.

I'm sure people have numbers to "counter" my point, but these are my numbers, take it for what it is worth.

I'm in the wrong business. |sad|

Finally, the Hun did it! I saw 2,015,611 uniques on his sextracker today (not sure if it is his first time). Nice record...

Personally, I'd rather send 2 million hits to other peoples galleries, slip in two of my own everyday and because of the traffic, be able to charge 2-3 grand a month for banner spots. Seem like a more sure fire way to make money than hope people are going to click through on that sposor hosted big naturals gallery they've been lookin at all year. 2€

What's the difference between the first and second number?

The first is uniques and the second is total.
