Nothing but work today. Oh yeah, I pick up my first 1/2 of my wood money this morning. And Vickie has a doctors appointment this afternoon. I'm not sure if she wants me with her or not though :)

Still playing a little catch up from the enforced downtime during/after the storm here. Hoping Emily (Cat 4 now) goes somewhere else (like dies in the Gulf).

Late on getting the newsletter out, should have been out yesterday but things kinda got in the way. So that makes today newsletter day, and that'll make Saturday my Friday, so Sunday will be... ahh, the hell with it...Happy Friday!

Vickie is doing much better guys. Her vision is at about 80%. Her ribs and collar bone still hurt like hell but she has good pain killers. A friend of hers who has crones offered her morphine patches. She said no, thankfully. But, she does have vicodin. And, she is finally sleeping without nightmares...funny what vallium will do :)

I decided that I needed a widescreen HDTV down in the Pool House so I had to bribe The Bitch into letting me get a new TV - I ended up moving the 42 inch plasma to the Pool House & bought here a monster 55 inch rear projection HDTV yesterday (and sold the old TV from the Pool House to Yell for a couple bucks) All this so I can watch HD sports :D

I've got a bit of running around to do & then meeting with the financial guy at 11 to talk about my retirement planning...I'm thinking 40 is a good age to retire |thumb

New season of Battlestar Galactica starts tonight. Finally something on TV that I actually enjoy. It starting last year was the only reason that I got a TiVo and is about the only thing I use it for except PPV stuff.

Good morning!! It's Friday, and I've got my coffee. . .I'm ready to kick off the weekend!!

I've got reservations to an awesome Thai resturaunt for tonight. . .so I'm looking forward to that. And also, I'm going to catch a midnight showing of the new Willy Wonka movie. I have a lurking suspicion though, that it won't be as good as the original one was. I guess I'll find out.

I have an oh so exciting day at an amusement park ahead of me. It's funny - the place is a lot more fun without the kids, but the wife demands that we take them. Of well, can't win them all.

I like the amusement parks with the little lockers you can rent. Just put the kids in the locker and enjoy your day at the park.

MindyBlingBucks I think Jonny Depp will make Willy Wonka a hoot! I can't stand the movie myself. But thats only because when my kids were little they loved it. Which means I had to watch it all day many days... |dizzy| But I'll catch it when it comes out on DVD just to see how it came out.

GreenGuy retire at 40? Well good for you! I'd love for my husband to be able to retire. I have a feeling he'll have to work till hes 90!! We also got a HDTV a 54 inch for the living room. I'll tell ya football in HD rocks! You'll love it we sure do!

We also have a 54 inch HDTV in the basement and just got optimum cable's version of tivo. Had a few problems in the begining but now it works primo!! Been recording like crazy all the shows I love but can't watch (like reruns of CSI and Battlestar Gallactica to see the ones I missed last season so I can be ready tonight)
Honey watches NASCAR on it and, tho I am not much of a nascar fan, it looks great

A bit behind the 8 ball already today.
Off to the cabin in a bit. Though with no parents, friends, in laws around I'll get some work done, and get in quite a bit of fishing.
Who knows, maybe |buddy| will be able to show me some tips.
