I tried like hell to sleep late this morning but right at 6:30, my eyes popped open. I even took a little medicine last night and stayed up until almost midnight to see if I could sleep until at least 8 but nope...

I have a few appointments but will be around most of the day.

I'm dropping off my car this morning to have the new sound system put in it so I'll be without a car for a few days so I guess I'll be home for a few days since it is way too fucking hot outside to be riding a bicycle like I had planed. The heat index in Hialeah, which is about 20 miles from where I live, was 105F yesterday.

We are supposed to start cooling down today...finally. We are still in a droubt so it is illegal for us to water our lawn or wash our cars. Supposed to rain this weekend though

I stopped at an ATM machine on the way to school last night that was in the sun and the keys where so hot that they burned my fingers when I pressed them.

No water drought this year here at least but I don't ever remember it being this hot.

Same heat here, Cleo, it's just too hot to enjoy anything outside. I'm almost looking forward to the next big storm, just for the cooling winds. It does seem hotter this year to me too... maybe we feel it more as we get older. ;)

I still had Necco wafers left at the end of Search Engine Chat, so I guess I missed some trades. :D

Like Jim's weather, it has cooled down a lot here - still getting into the 80's, but that's much better than the 90's we've been having. I have no idea if there's a water ban in place or not, but I watered the shit out of my dirt yesterday :D

Got to love our local electric company, not. For the third time in two months I'm going to be losing my power for a good part of the day. This time they are saying 5.5 hours on the 23 of this month. So far it always stays off for a few hours more then what they say it will. I'm really glad that I got a generator but I thought that I would be using it after a storm and not just for normal days. Hopefully with all this maintenance the power will stay on in the next bad storm but I doubt it. I really wish they would just move all the power lines underground.

To clarify ;) I wasn't throat fucking my cat at the time. I woke up, came downstairs, and found my chair to be soiled. (Oh, the humanity) I should have brought in my female dog. She loves cat vomit. It's like a preheated delicacy. The wife gets pissed at me when I have the dog clean it up though. She says I'm lazy. |cat

Hell, that is normal around here with 3 cats. Nothing like being woken up in the middle of the night cuz a cat is hacking something up.

If it is in the office they usually get Torn's desk. My desk is too small for them. :D
