Conversions - Whats your norm?!

I have a question for all the peoples out there? How many galleries do you create / submit per day and what is your conversion ie: sale per day per X Galleries

ArtWilliams 2005-09-23 10:14 AM

About 1:800 mostly from the the mature / MILF genre by building free sites. Sadly, I do not spend as large amount of time building free sites as I should but I ususally get 2-3 sales per free site. ---art

Kron 2005-09-23 10:24 AM

My ratio is about 1:1500 on TGP and free site traffic and 1:150-200 on blog traffic

cybersexhound 2005-09-23 10:35 AM

So you get a higher conversion rate with blogs?

Greenguy 2005-09-23 10:42 AM

What time frame are you asking for? Some of us have been in this biz for a while...

your first year

Tremor 2005-09-23 11:30 AM

I do around 1:1000 on tgp traffic in the summertime. Closer to 1:800 in the winter :)

Surfn 2005-09-23 11:34 AM

My first year overall average was 1:20 :)

That was a different century with different ways to make bank. I retired a few years later ( in that same century)

Erick G 2005-09-23 02:29 PM

1/200 to 1/250
on a bad week 1/450
summer was like 1/600 and up
mostly tgp traffic

dirtyjumbo 2005-09-23 04:39 PM

Some sponsors I do 1:250-1:300 but most are around 1:800

This is on a mix of blog, SE, TGP and free site trafiic

Halfdeck 2005-09-23 05:29 PM

Conversion ratios without knowing number of clickthrus isn't saying much.

1:200 on a high traffic gallery page is alot more sales than 1:50 on a low traffic SE page.

Lemmy 2005-09-23 05:36 PM

Between 1:100 and 1:3500. I'm just happy whenever I get a check in the mail.

:D no doubt lol

After a year I'm doing about 1:400 to 1:800, depending on the site, sponsor, etc. That's mostly LL traffic.

During that time there were a few months when I was only subbing a couple sites per week and working f/t. For the past little while I 've worked at getting about 5 out per week.

I'm happy with my ratios, gimme more traffic :D

digifan 2005-09-23 10:28 PM

1:500-550 with tgp traffic in general.

nekrom 2005-09-23 11:47 PM

Since I started my ratios have always been around the same benchmark levels. Primarily imo due to the micro niche nature of it. Nearly 4years latter looks like I picked a winner.
Gallery traffic wise both Extreme Bdsm and Old mature 40+/Granny I average 1:250 - 1:400

rtv 2005-09-26 04:23 PM

My average ratio is 1:600-700 on tgp traffic. That is not bad!

AdultCEO 2005-09-28 06:48 AM

I think more important than your ratio is how much you make per click. My best so far is 6 cents/click.

My average for the past 12 months is 11 cents per unique click.

I couldn't agree more.
All those 2nd page, join page, whatever page ratios give a very distorted image on how a site/sponsor really converts.

Mefo 2005-09-28 10:52 AM

Well a lot of sponsors fuck it up, they count 2nd page, 3rd page etc really crappy....

I always check where I make the most money in the end, that's what counts

Halfdeck 2005-09-29 08:23 AM

All this talk about conversions made me check stats of a forgotten sponsor, and amazingly I sent them only 2 uniques so far this year and made a sale :D

Are you talking about gallery submission traffic?
Or general advertising?

If you sold that at CPC, you'd be making $110/K.

I sell traffic in blocks of 20K on drbizzaro.com
I'd be making $2200 on each advertser alone, with that kind of ratio.

Damn, I am WAY undercharging.

I have 10 websites out so far plus one seach engine. I am promoting pussycash, cyberage and netpond at this point, I am up to almost 1,000 uniques this month (just started) each payout is at about 15 - 20 per signup/ Right now I am doing 1 site per day and pushing throughout 20 linklists. Im just trying to figure out how much I need to do inorder to meet my goal of 2,000 per month in sign-ups and how long it will take.

Here are some samples of my work:

wink wink - need to show my husband that I can do this as I am sick and tired of dealing with clients

MrYum 2005-09-29 11:14 AM

Hey there Cybersexhound |waves|

One issue you're going to have that will slow you down is using sub-domains. Many link sites stopped accepting subs a long time ago.

You'll be a much happier sexhound and get listed in a lot more places using niche named folders :)

Gallery submits tend to lower the over all average.

Hubs tend to raise my average.

I get the most from paid spots.

thats interesting - search engines seem to be eating up the subdomains?! Also they allow me to track my hits better with the stats program I am using. Which sites are you speaking of? I may want to try a couple folders instead for those.

Not any site in particular, just noticed in your post that you had several subs listed. And think I declined your submission last night for that reason :(

If you do a search on the board for 'sub-domains', think you'll find the vast majority of site owners have stopped listing them. Thanks to the scammers and cheats that abused sub-domains a long time ago |angry|

cybersexhound 2005-09-29 01:26 PM

ahh damn - ok well Ill have to see how many others dont take the subdomains - they are very helpful in staying organized and keeping stats. was their any other reason why you denied my site or was it just the subdomain?

MrYum 2005-09-29 01:44 PM

Yea, this is one of those subjects that comes up from time to time. It takes a slightly different mindset to get used to using folders instead, but the adjustment isn't usually too painful :D

Actually, I hadn't even looked at the site previously. As soon as I saw the sub in my review admin, I declined the site. Again, that's a pretty standard response for site reviewers as it's an instant decline...no need to look further and time is $$$ as they say.

However, I just went back into my review admin and pulled the site up :) A couple things jump out...

Slightly different free site structure...no biggie...I'd still list it.

Your full size images are HUGE at 300k or more. They certainly look pretty, but dial up surfers arent' gonna wait around for those to load. A lot of lists will decline for images that big. Try to keep them between 40-70k or so...even up to 80k if absolutely necessary to keep the image quality good. Personally, I'd probably still list the site even with the large image sizes.

Interesting recip locations too...used to see more people scatter them throughout the site, but haven't seen that used in a long time. Honestly, I'm not sure what to think of that one as I have no idea why free site builders stopped using that methodology.

I'm hoping some other site owners will give us some feedback on scattering the recips around like that...I'd like to see some other opinions.

At first blush, don't think I would decline a site for it...though it does make the site a bit uglier...no offense intended :)

So, the short answer is...yea, it was the sub-domain that got you declined :D

reviewcash 2005-10-04 02:57 AM

I get around 1: 75 on exit traffic filtering thru my review directories. I get many 1:1 signups to on specific sites...
