Morning folks,
Went to a check-up at the hospital this morning, evrything seemed to be allright with my pinky finger. I also got to take the X-ray pic from last week home. Looks kinda nasty if you ask me.
Now my ring and pinky finger are taped together, lots of fun....

Anyway, back to the office job tomorrow :(

Jim prolly thinks its Tuesday still.

Running water that seems to be staying on but very little pressure.

Another beautiful brisk day here in the land of hurricane hell. Besides trying to get some work done going to start on backyard cleanup today. Damn I hate using chain saws and yard tools.

Down to just one woman and her two boys staying with me. Lots of breakfast stuff is now being served.

This is a day when I have so much I need to deal with that I want nothing more than to pull the covers over my head and wish it all away.

To top matters off, my right shoulder is at it again, and every mouse click is painful.

Lots of mainstream work today.. big show next week.. the automotive aftermarket show.. 130K in peeps here .. but i love looking at all the "new" stuff.

FONZ: that's looks wicked!! must have happened reaching for those cheetos or throwing darts at the football pool!!

Nah...did way too much yesterday. And our village decided to shut off the power to the entire town at midnight for 3 hours. We tried to get to sleep before midnight but it didn't happen. So, with no fan running, we were awake until 3 just talking and waiting for power.

And..sitting at my desk most of yesterday was not a good thing to do. I will be doing nothing for the rest of today. I have got to get downstairs this weekend to talk my boys through installing a new oven where there never was an oven :) That will be as fun as talking my wife yesterday how to hook up the gas for a new cooktop yesterday.

I will never understand why my Mother who did all Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter dinners decided she only needed a 24" oven. We now have a 36" oven that needs to be installed where there were double cabinets below the stove top. I'll take pictures when they are done.

I got a hair up my ass yesterday & started on a project that's gonna take me much longer to complete than I first anticipated - but it's one of those things that you have a gut feeling is gonna work & turn a couple heads, so I'll be busy doing that all day.

Plus I'm exhausted because I stayed up til 2 watching the game.

Fonz - that looks...well...that doesn't look good.

I slept in after watching the baseball marathon last night.

The phone story. Most everyone knows that I am living in my Late Mother's house. Lately weird things have been happening. Last night was the strangest. At 11:58PM our house phone rang. No one was there. My wife *69ed it and it said it was my cell phone. My cell phone was in my office, closed and being charged. This morning I woke up and checked the phone and sure enough. At 11:58 a call was made for 1 second to our home. Only my wife and I live here and the phone was really in my office. There are 2 ways to make a call with my cell phone. The old fashoned way or...push a button and say "Home". Something is strange.

And, just so you know... I have never believed in this haunting crap.

That is some freaky stuff Jim! I don't beleive in haunting crap either, but you have to admit it's pretty weird!|shocking|

What I think is maybe your mom was just saying hi and letting you know she's still watching you even if she is in heaven |thumb

Was the home phone number the last # called before it was put on the charger? It's possible the # was stored in the Previous Calls list and the charger goofed up, and triggered call previous or something.

Didn't your phone once call Vicki while you were driving? :)

Yeah but that was a sony cookie shaped phone. I jumped in my truck and the armrest hit the call the last number button. She heard me bitching about her and listened to me talk to myself. :) That was funny...not creepy.

Checked that and no...It was 3ed on the list.

Let me tell you guys everything that has happened. Now, remember, Vickie believes all this stuff. But, she has heard voices and felt someone tuck her into bed. She even claims to have seen my Mother for a split second. As for me...I walked into the bedroom where Vickie was sound asleep and I heard in my Mother's voice, "Good Morning". (Exactly the way it was when I went to school). A week or so ago, I heard the sewing machine running. I just thought that Vickie was sewing. After it stopped running, she came in from the opposite direction. 2 days ago, while going to the bathroom, a Rock painted like a cat was looking at me. I thought that was a little creepy but ehhh, I didn't feel like moving it. The next time I went to the bathroom, the cat rock was turned around so it was not looking at me. And then the phone call last night.

Strange things going on for sure.

Vickie things we need to get people in here to get rid of whoever it is. But, if it is my Mother, the last thing I want to do is to make her leave. My Mom and I were very, very close. My father traveled for work and I lived basically alone with my mother for about 18 years.

And still remember, I don't believe in this stuff. But, I think if one more thing happens, I will be a believer. :)

Well it's a good thing in my book Jim. I don't beleive in hauntings but do beleive in presence of people who have passed. You said your mom and you were very close and you do live in her old house. I wouldn't want to bring anyone in to scare it away. If it's your mom it's all good, she is a good ghost...couldn't think of a way to say that so it doesn't sound tacky. I've heard things like this before, and do beleive it can happen.

I think it happens in all kinds of ways, most of which a lot of people don't even really notice. An example here at my house. We had several people pass away right before my grandson was born. We were video taping him one day he was only a four months old. All of a sudden he turned to the door and stated smilling till he got to the point where he was laughing really hard. I went over to the door and he moved his head as to look by me and started up laughing again. My dad and my husband's dad had recently passed so I truly beleive it was one of them coming to see what would have been the first great-grandchild for both of them.

You have a lot more things happening but I do beleive it's just your Mom looking over her little boy. Being a father you know your kids grow up but they will always be your babies.... |thumb

I've been through the immobile and taped thing. The fun part is trying to bend it the first time after they take it all off. It doesn't hurt, but it can take some effort, if it's been a while.
