My step-daughter is having knee surgery today, so I'll be scarce from 10:00 until we get home around 4:00.

I was thinking of bringing my laptop to the waiting room, but I doubt I'd really want to "work" while I was there, so I fired up the XM MyFi & recorded a couple ours of O & A in-case there's no reception in there :)

I have physical therapy for my hand this afternoon and am going to try to make it to the gym this morning. Other then those couple of things I will just be home working.

Angel is still coming over to my place each evening to use my ADSL since her cable modem, my cable modem, and I guess everyone's cable modems are still out. She ordered the same Earthlink ADSL that I have for backup, I get a free month since she signed up under me, but did not spend the extra $15 for overnight delivery and it has been over a week since she ordered it. Comcast cable's website mentions that a major fiber got knocked out and 95% will be back online by the 22 of this month. I sure do miss the speed of my cable modem but am very happy that I got ADSL as a backup at the start of this year's storm season.

Been looking around for above ground fuel storage. Thinking of putting a couple of 55 gallon drums a bit higher then my generator and running a line to it so that I don't have to be fueling it twice a day next time it is needed.

Speaking of which, my Grandson will be born in just 4 more days :) I have no idea how things will be working. I know my wife is leaving Sunday and I will either leave Sunday or Monday or maybe even Tuesday morning. But, I have no idea how long I will be gone.

Well, we've finally dipped to the single digits (in centigrade) here in Toronto which means life is gonna suck - once again. What else is new.

Anyhow, got far too much to work on to really complain so I just came by to say hello and wish you all a healthy sales/rebills day. :)

We did go last week to have her fitted for a HUGE leg brace - it's pretty much from her ass to her ankle & it'll be locked in place for the 1st few weeks.

I'm already complaining in-case I'm asked to carry her up & down the stairs :D

I've had knee surgery, I'm looking like worn out Raggedy Ann doll these days, and it isn't bad if you have the microscopic type. They even showed me a video of the inside of my knee after. Trying to use crutches was a real bitch and I didn't listen to them and support my weight with my arms instead of my underarms and ended up with very sore underarms so be sure she uses her hands and arms to support her weight when walking with the crutches.

It's still only chilly here , no snow yet, but there were some crazy thunderstorms last night. I'm glad there aren't any trees on my property, my yard is the only one on my block with no leaves to rake!

Damn life is odd… Someone who I've really wanted to spend time with finally calls me today to get together and do lunch. Trouble is I have an afternoon appointment that I can't miss for my hand. Any other day of the week I'm pretty much just sitting home working with no real schedule.|banghead|

It is kind of like the fact the phone seems to only ring when I'm in the shower, like just now, or sitting on the toilet.

A few years ago I tore the maniscus in my right knee and needed orthoscopic surgery. Spent a few days in bed then back to work..piece of cake..
Unfortunately, because I could not exercise, that cake tasted very, very good and I put on a lot of weight..:)

Getting injured can cause you to put on weight real easy. When I got shot I put on over forty pounds. Oddly this injury seems to be causing me to loose weight because eating with my right hand in a splint is just about impossible. lol

Cleo your comment about them "showing the video of your surgery" reminded me of when I had a tubal ligation, as soon as I was out of anthesia, they showed me pics of what they did. I almost hurled right there, didn't need to see that! Waaaay too much information.|barf|

Still playing catch-up but added to my load by working on some new daily content stuff. If things go well this weekend, I should have new 'Pic of the Day' and 'Gallery of the Day' features done, both with RSS feed options (all with affiliate linking of course). Scripts tested fine on one server but giving me some fits on another one. |banghead|

Aside from that it's a loud day in paradise with people tearing out walls on downstairs enclosures and pressure washing outsides of houses. :)

I left my house key somewhere (crack whore) today so I had to lower my 6 year old son over the fence so he could go through the doggy door and unlock the house. That's how my day is going. Of course, I get here and see that some tool I genuinely dislike from another board, who is appropriately named after a tool, is now a member here. Oy vay.

Went to the hand therapist. Don't feel as bad about my injury now after seeing other people there. One person had their finger stitched to their palm for a skin graft and another had their whole hand stitched to their belly for a skin graft. First one had all their skin pulled off to the bone in an iron working accident and the second one had been shot in the hand.

OUCH! Makes me feel like a wuss for complaning about throwing my back out earlier this week, it could always be worse. Hope your hand is better soon, always a bitch when you hurt your dominant hand.

Hope the surgery went well today - I opted to NOT get the surgery and it has taken almost 2 years, but I'm healing. She's still young and will heal much faster. Hope all went well.

We've had a lot of changes over @ Klixxx in the past year and well, that equals a lot of work for me. lol So, been buried but just now got out into the sunshine and decided to peek in here. It was bake in 98 and being kind of laid up for awhile is what caused me to start doing a lot more web stuff instead of doing computer consulting. In some very twisted odd way it caused my life to take a turn for the better. I love doing this type of work and am very glad to have left my old stressed out life of consulting behind. I finally went full time doing this earlier this year. :)

They are pretty much on 24/7 - live from 7-11 AM, then Ron & Fez from 11-2 (another duo that used to follow them when they were on in NY) then a "Worst Of" hour from 2-3, then the morning show replayed from 3-7 & 7-11 (worst of from 11-midnight, Ron & Fex replay from 12-3, O & A replay from 3-7, start cycle over)

Weekends are all best of for both shows.

OH! Almost forgot the most important reason for me revisiting this thread:

My step-daughter's surgery went well. They removed some excess stuff from her knee, move it back into place, moved the tendon & screwed it into place, which should solve the problem for the rest of her life :)

She's sore & still a bit fucked from the drugs, but she's doing ok |thumb

I really need to stop fucking around tweaking my LL and go to bed…

Cleo - glad to hear that was an old incident and not something new. I was remembering all that hurricane damage you had and everything else, getting shot on top of all that would have just pushed any normal person over the edge... how scary!
