Too Early for a Saturday/Christmas Eve

Morning everyone |waves|

Just getting ready for work at this messed up hour......I wish it was 14 hrs later and then I would be all done with it. At least my shopping was finished days ago. :D

It is a cool 49degress out, chilly for this state but no where near the winter the wonderland of the holidays.

Have a fun one!

docholly 2005-12-24 05:43 AM

|thumb I'm with you there Kat! We should still be in bed and not facing a final day of retail hell.

I have 3.5 hours until i have to haul ass (a big one too) outta here to face a 12 hour day of grouchy shoppers with hyper children. Next time in july when i get a hair up my ass to open a store somebody |sandm me! *flashing eyes at Max & Simon*

|waves| Have a good one whatever you do!!

Fonz 2005-12-24 07:51 AM

Morning all,

no soccer today so I'll be online for most part of the day. Other than that I'm having the annual Christmas dinner with the family tonight.
Have a great day all :)

Surfn 2005-12-24 08:01 AM

Good Morning Folks |waves|

Good to see you up and about early Kat. Must be nice to be a lady of leisure now :D

37°F here I just got back from swimming in the creek |santa|

Toby 2005-12-24 08:09 AM

Kat & Doc, I feel for ya. I spent 15 years in retail sales, this time of year was no fun.

Only a little "work" to do this morning, then a few household chores, and the remainder of the day is for Football, even though my fantasy team sucks :(

Emerald 2005-12-24 08:13 AM

Good Morning :)

Today I plan to clean the house since i have company for xmas day - I am making my first ever Christmas Dinner tomorrow and invited my Mother and Step father - this could be a fiasco since I cant cook worth a crap - and the worst part is I have to make 2 different roasts because he doesnt like lamb and Mom wants it - so a lamb roast and a pork roast with all the trimmings and cook weird veggies I hate cuz just because they like em! ohh boy!!

also have to find a good recipe online for candied yams since i never cooked those either.|huh

Wish me luck!!

Cleo 2005-12-24 08:15 AM

Good Morning. :)

Just another day in paradise here with the temp 69F this morning.
|sun
Not really sure what I'm doing today. My friend Talia wants to hit the malls but personally I'd rather stick splinters under my toenails then deal with the madness of shopping today.

Espresso is on

Making a mental note to self...never accept an invite to Em's for dinner!

Ramster 2005-12-24 08:26 AM

Good Morning. My old job was retail and REALLY do not miss this time of year. Working Boxing Day and all that shit. Man I love porn. :D

Good Day Before |buddy|'s Birthday Everyone |waves|

We did gifts with the kids last night & everyone was quite happy with the iPods & accessories that I got them :) I also got The Bitch a laptop, so she's just as happy as can be. Of course, I have to set it up now |banghead|

Heading over to my mom's a Half Time...GO BENGALS!!!!

Greenguy 2005-12-24 09:19 AM

MrMaryLou 2005-12-24 09:23 AM

Good Morning All :)

Greenguy 2005-12-24 09:28 AM

No, it truly is a Christmas Stick.

When Emmy was living down here, she was going to decorate for Christmas, but didn't get around to it. When we went to visit her, she had a wooden stick of sorts that she used to wind her Christmas lights around for storage.

They were of course still wound when I got there, so I just plugged the cord in & put them in the corner...instant Christmas Stick!

Emerald 2005-12-24 09:33 AM

Havent even got around to sticking up the Christmas Stick - it subs as my xmas tree

Linkster 2005-12-24 09:34 AM

Good morning - just finishing up the reviews and sites for the day - then kick back and watch football
Nice thunderstorms here and lots of rain - good day for a nice fire and food :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

RawAlex 2005-12-24 09:34 AM

Well, I finally did a big bunch of my holiday shopping yesterday, and I guess I will be one of the lucky ones out there today. I will say that the crowds were not what they have been in past years. Local merchants are reporting a 10% increase in sales this year already, but I have a feeling it might just be people actually buying before the last days. I got parking close to the door yesterday at my local mall, and purchased exactly what I wanted within minutes. No struggle at all. Makes me wonder.

Other than that, I am actually working on some stuff. Google is being somewhat friendly, so I am trying to figure out the WHY so I can apply it elsewhere.

Happy holidays and stuff to everyone.

Alex

Torn Rose 2005-12-24 09:48 AM

Morning all,

Just working on some hosted movies and waiting for kickoff. This week I have Tampa/Atlanta and Jax/Texans and then Indy/Seattle. I would much rather have Chargers/KC at 1pm, but that’s the penalty of living in a state with 3 teams.

Hope everyone has a happy holiday weekend!

I have been going crazy for weeks now. I really can't wait until Monday at this time. Our house is full of people and they are staying until Tuesday. So, I guess Wednesday will be normal again :)

Only a few gifts didn't get here and a bunch of food sent to me and friends are just lost.

MadMax 2005-12-24 10:56 AM

Morning All. Just woke up, the xmas shopping is done, and life is good. Not even that much of a frozen wasteland here today. Got nothing to do for the next several hours so coding is on deck for the day.

Happy Feast of the Son of Isis Eve, everyone :D

MrYum 2005-12-24 11:00 AM

Happy Xmas eve everyone!

No big plans here...there is an advantage to living 3k miles away from family :D

Though my neighbors are calling me scrooge for not having any lights up. I do have a wreath on the front door though...lol.

Good luck on the meal Emmy |thumb

Enjoy everyone!

ponygirl 2005-12-24 11:04 AM

everything is done except the wrapping - going to have a few drinks tonite after the kiddies go to bed & hubby and I will have a blast doing that...I think it's the last year for Santa for my oldest - he'll be 11 in Feb & I think he's really forcing himself this year lol. They certainly do grow up fast :(

Pictures? :D

Cleo 2005-12-24 01:00 PM

Gym was closed…

Sign on the door said they would be open, but I guess all was home.

Went by neighbor's place to let in the cleaning girl and left the hose filling up his pool. Now all I have to do is remember to go back over after awhile and turn off the hose. If anyone notices the ocean rising please send me some email reminder me to turn off my neighbor's hose.

Is this fucking holiday over yet?

stuveltje 2005-12-24 01:15 PM

Pretty close to my evening, lots of wrapping and some booze in my evening coffee. My boy is 11 on the 29th and he's very skeptical. Last year, his little sister (she's 8 now) dragged him with her to see Santa, but this year he wanted no part of that. I think he wrote a letter but he was pretty close lipped about the whole thing.
Made fresh gingerbread and acorn cookies for tomorrow. I make 4 loaves of sausage bread first thing in the morning and then the friends and family start showing up to help eat it. Then it's be lazy and watch football for the afternoon.
Enjoy the day with your families!
