Is the new stats area complete?
Is there no way to see daily stats info anymore?

Hopefully that part is still in the works!

I'm curious about that too.

I had a signup, it disappeared, then a signup reappeared. Same signup? no way to tell...

One signup isn't a big deal, but I'm still curious to know how the new stats are going to work.

I thought the layout of the stats before was awesome too....loved being able to have everything all seperated out and laid out up instead of having to guess at so much. Hope that part comes back

Ok, ofcourse we have not done a complete launch yet, as with any program when you take 4 years worth of work and time and release certain parts of it each day, things are'nt going to look right. Here's some of the answers everyone is looking for:

A: No, the new stats area is not complete, there are still referring stats and a daily breakdown to follow, however I wont be giving any exact times on that release as of yet, because this is the Wild Web and we all know what happends when you make promises. They just dont fall into place as you want them to.

A: It is the same signup, I posted a short message on the main page that the database was still transfering, I knew that would take overnight, and as Databases transfer from one place to another we were constantly comparing old stats with new, as well as the transfered to ensure all data was 100% moving forward.

A: I agree the olkd stats layout was excellent, it was perfect for the program at that time, however as some of you might have noticed, moving forward we have alot more to offer in the program, we didnt feel there was any real way to display stats in the older format, for all the new Program Types and Affiliate can promote, it's easy when your offering a simple $35 per Signup program, but when you have 55 sites and more on the way, to display stats on one page in that detail wasnt realistic when we looked at having the "Console Free", "Traffic Back", "60/40 RevShare", "$35-$40 Per Signup on Console Tours", "$150 Webmaster Referral, for active", "7% Webmaster Referral on RevShare" programs, not to mention "Bonus Days" it just wasnt realistic for 55+ Sites, and the growth we have planned in our program and site profile for 2004.

I hope everyone can understand, that moving forward sometimes means changes, and growing pains, we have moved forward at a tremendous speed throughout 2003, and we thank our affiliates greatly for that, because without all of you we never could have grown the way we have. I dont like change, just as much as the next guy/girl, but I can assure you that it is for the better of everyone involved. If it's a week, and you miss by a few days, that's fine.
If it's 2 weeks, and you miss by nearly a week, that's fine.
If it's 3 weeks and you miss by a week, that's fine.

i was hoping sum 1 would post about this lol didnt know what was going on?? so we will have new programs?? nice. are our stats still beng counted the same during transfer even tho we are not seeing them, i seem to have a massive hits drop. well, i hope it comes out nice can't wait to see the reults!|santa|

Ok, after looking at things a little bit more, here's a little more insite to what to expect.

1) hits are now being counted fully, so you should see your traffic return to normal, it was fixed late last night but not enough to make up all the traffic stats. (Sales were always being logged)

2) The Daily Sales system will be longer than I initially planned (told you I didnt want to guess at anything), main reason for this is that I want it neetly displayed, so some changed need to be made, however the referral system will be in place sometime soon, so you can see where your sales were coming from.

That's cool, gotta say moving around in some of the other areas is a nice improvement! It's looking good. Take your time but I gotta have the daily stats :)

Now here's some news you may also want to use, not only did I not promise on the Daily Stats, but.......

if you visit the stats you will see your Total Sales Underlined, if you click that you will not only see Referral Stats, but you will also see the sales for each of the days. (In addition to a small error at the top of the page), but hey, whats better than 1 week early on the GUESSTIMATION :)

join page on V.C. doesnt work anymore??? do i have to get the new link from links section?? the old page cums up but there is nothing but pics border nowhere to sign-up??? no CC info etc.

Babymaker, yes we are experiencing a few technical issues with previous join pages, you should be linking to here:

Although we are still testing direct join page link options and the best way to add them to the system.

We recommended in the Official Release that everyone update their links to avoid any issues, although there shouldnt be many in regards to traffic direction and flow.

I totally understand your frustration, keep in mind, we recommend it, you don't have to do it, and we will ofcourse continue to track sales from the old linking codes.

Again i understand your frustration, but sadly it's always best to have the most current links, I can assure you if we could have avoided it we would have, but just like many programs before us, and im sure there will be many more to follow, when affiliates ask for certain upgrades and features, in order to accomidate them you have to expect change, there's change in every business that exists today.

well at least the hosted sites and galleries seem to be the same, thank god! i am making a phony LL and used a lot of extreme and spent hours geting links and making descriptions a few days ago and built most of the site last night before the official notice. was ready to throw a brick thru my monitor till i clicked the links and they were kool hehe|jester| phew!|rasta| and i updated the VC join links i have mostly i have 2 more to do. thank god usually convert off index or main and only used the join link on 2nd galleries. |santa|

Well, the VC join pages are not working and that's where most of my sales with you come from. Apparently you knew they weren't working but no one else was informed. I was wondering why I had zero signups this period and I thought it probably has something to do with the move and they will show up because you posted on your site that sales were still being tracked.

I'm not mad, just very ???, still don't have the words for it, lol
I would much rather be doing things to make money this month instead of trying to track down and change code.

Ok, in regards to the join links, that issue has not been an issue from the start of the period, that issue began late last night in fact.

Sorry you feel like Santa kicked you in the balls, it's hardly the intent, and if we could have made it so affiliates wouldnt have had to change any links we would have, this isnt anything new, everyone has heard this from other programs in the past and im sure will continue to in the future.

there is no way in hell I can change all my codes over...lol..Im still finding codes I have to change from pegcash...

That is VERY good news, I'm really glad to hear it although strange how a link would be ok after the change over and then go bad on it's own suddenly late last night but I'll take your word for it.

Don't worry, it's not just you. Santas been kicking everyone in the nuts starting with Sexkey, then freenetpass then all the other avs sites that made everyone change all the text and signup boxes on all their sites.

Hard to believe in this day and age with all the current technology that it was not somehow possible and should be a top priority consideration before making major changes.

Everyone has probably been cheated on once or twice in their lives also but that doesn't make it any easier the next time. I have no magic button that will change all the links on all my pages on all my sites across all my domains across my different servers.

But you did say the old links would work so I'm not going to worry about it. I just hope that it does work as you say. Being from the old philosophy "Fu*k me once shame on you, Fu*k me twice shame on me" I usually just pull links when sponsors pull this but I really do like your program. I hope your retention is as good as your signups have been, then I will make a lot more money and I will eventually forget all about my messed up Christmas of '03 ;)

Your right, I figured lemme see who we can screw and destroyed the link on purpose. Not the facts but trust me when i tell you that anyone that has ever worked with scripts, knows that certain things run off of the same database, etc, and sometimes one change will effect other areas of a script. Believe or think what you wish, thats your choice.

In regards to everyone's Santa's kicking you in the nuts, im sorry you feel that way, business can be tough sometimes. And where Fireman, Police risk their lives (not that this compares to that), it's a tough thing, and when one gets shot or injured in a fire, im sure no one likes it, but it's part of business and doing the job we do.

In regards to today's techonolgy, your right, you would certainly think, and we did think (as have others in the past), it's just the way it goes, shit I WOULD THINK with today's Tech. that 9/11 never would have happend, The Shuttle wouldnt have blown up, there wouldnt be any Fraudulant Transactions, There would never be stolen checks, Cancer would be cured, etc, etc. Regardless, we took it into heavy consideration (so we wouldnt be dealing with posts similar to this), and the sad fact is, it just wasnt in the cards.

Ofcourse I understand there is no "Magic Button" to change all your links accross all your servers, you would think with Todays Technology, there would be. There isnt. It's business and it sucks, and Im not any happier than you about it.

I would hardly say we fucked you even the first time, and I understand you generally pull the links, I appreciate your business, and respect the oppratunity to work with you, however I hope that you can respect that in business things cannot always go the way we want them to go. As for the retention, I hope so to, I would only want the best for affiliates in our RevShare program, in regards to your messed up Christmas, it's still 19 days away, I wouldnt let this be the Christmas buster if I were you, there's still plenty of good things going on in the world, and things could certainly be worse.

Now to answer Cleo & Wicked, no you dont NEED to change anything, it's simply something I would reccomend, to keep it simple, the old codes get tracked and re-directed from their previous home to their new home, the reason we "Recommend" the change is in the event something were to happen to the server that re-directs to the new location, it would ensure you have no issues. it simply takes a link out of the chain and makes the chain shorter which makes it stronger. Now if it were me personally would I change the link codes? No, I never have for any other program I have ever promoted in my personal life, and I wouldnt start now, but thats my choice, and my decision.

Holy Shit! He posted twice that you don't have to change the codes, but I'm sure it's a good idea that you do change them the next time your editing that page/site/domain.

I clicked on one of the old codes this morning & HOLY SHIT! It redirected to the new code!

IMHO this is probably the best "change your link codes" that I have ever seen a program do.

I've changed link codes on big programs at least 5 times. It's a huge fucking pain in the ass. But not this time!

Kudos to the Extreme Team for making this one easy on us webmasters :D

Oh yeah - one other thing - no change over like this ever goes smoothly. You just can not foresee every problem.

Extreme Paychecks changes their stats & tracking & some link problems come up. Go to their support area & email them - that's what they have the support area for.

ARS changed over all their stats a few weeks back & all hell broke loose on their board. Today, it's running better then ever.

Hell - I remember when Ultracash changed their stats/admin & I was fucking pissed....for about a week, then I got used to the new admin & I was a happy camper.

Lighten up.

Go thru the proper channels.

I was just a "little" ticked off at the time.

I know very little about scripts, what kind of errors can occur etc.. that's why I said I would take your word for it. Extreme Cash is one of the very few sponsors I would say without a doubt, I believe they don't shave.

I think I was just venting a lot of built up stress from all of the other avs crap a few months ago. kind of like a deja vu, delayed reaction thing :) That really did set me back, I have well over a thousand sites listed with 30+ avs's and it was a BITCH.

Greenguy, my biggest complaint was that the one site I really promote with them is the one that was not working. We are not all as rich as you. :)

Maybe I will have to go see for myself. I haven't used them
since their last major redesign.

VC is basically the one i use too so the join page got me a lil down but i am not worried got it fixed. i do have a question about overall stats mine are way off i have i think 5 sites that are all VC and are well over 6mos old and have good se positions etc and i always see basically the same #'s period after period right now i think i had about 50 hits to VC which seems way down?? it should be a lot more than that is this just them not being posted or a delay?? i checked my other links thankfully they were all working and to tour1 so didnt change them. i know you guys are great so iam being patient not to worried lol, plus got a check yesterday hehe and was broke so that helped keep me happy|santa| i just wanna kill google lol they are my problem took maybe 5k+ a month i would have got without this new filter shit, so instead of part-time make some money newbie status that i am now i would have been easy full-time (thanx google|pissleft| merry x-mas to you too)|angry| lol but i am more calm today hehe. less caffine to and time to get drunk and fuck the net 4 12 hours or so hehe.|rasta|

I looked it over and it's seems simple enough even for me to use.

we all should also maybe think about the fact that the old stats system counted 1st and 2nd page hits so the same surfer would be counted as 2 hits if they clicked through the tour and this new system may not count that way so could be why our hit # is down

Babymaker, in regards to actual "Traffic/Hits", you will see subsantially different numbers if the majority of your codes still point to old pages, the way the system counts now is different than the old system.

The referrals are nice, definitely a big improvement. You gotta love the increased payout too.

So you're saying the hits counted will be more accurate with the new codes? Thats a reason to change them out.
