A Very Chilly Monday Morning
 

I'm just getting ready to head out the door for work, look at the weather.....33 F out....bbrrr. Which is cold for Florida. Torn brought all the plants in last night and turned on the heat for the 1st time this year.

At least I can actually wear some of my jackets that get neglected. :D

For some reason my brain thought that it was ok to wake up at 3AM. I think it's time to take a little lunch nap.

Posting in the good morning thread before lunch seems kinda strange :)

We had lots of snow yesterday, the football/soccer game I was attending yesterday got cancelled during half-time so I had to fill up those extra 45 minutes with something else... I feel lousy today...

Other than that I got nothing.

It's 53 degrees in the Keys now but it was colder a little while ago. Should be back down to 48 this evening. No heat here (most don't have any), so I did turn on the oven and open the door while making coffee a couple of hours ago. This is cold weather when your blood isn't used to it.

Colder than a bitch here. And to make things worse, I fell asleep with my glasses on and couldn't find them this morning...even after waking up my lovely wife.

I had to go outside and find my sunglasses in my truck. She just walked in with them and now I am good but I do believe she may be in a bad mood :)

I actually had frost on my windshield this morning... brrrrr!

Funny, my wife found them under the bed. I am a little blind without them so looking for them is just a waste of time. :)

Current tempature: 43 high 72 woot.. Now if i could keep Vegas like this year round i'd be a happy camper.. The entire rain season skipped us this year.. last year in Jan we had 11" of rain.. this year less than 1".. so my yard is D-E-A-D. and they are bumping the water restrictions to prepare for the summer.. OH and raising the rates.. too.. |banghead|

Going to the gym once I'm awake and in ugly gym clothes. Other then that not a whole lot planned. Spent yesterday afternoon with my neighbor dinning and shopping and just fucking with people. He wasn't feeling good last night so I went down to the beach but it was way too cold so I ended up at Voodoo Lounge and played with the drag queens.

Espresso is on…

After #8 I started to see everything double so I can't give you an exact amount :D

Yep, damn chilly this morning in the land of sunshine...brrr. You folks up in the North gotta start keeping this cold stuff up there where it belongs :D

No snow up there at all Greenguy? My pals up in Boston were all snowed in yesterday but if it was only a coastal type storm then the ski resorts must be crying
A tad nippy down here, why except for sports coats a few time for dinners last night was the first time in over 1-1/2 years down here that I actually had to put on a light jacket. But living in the Northeast all my life I haven't been acclimated to the heat yet and think this slight chill is great ;)

We have snow, but only a couple of inches. Besides, 2 feet is the norm for Western & Central New York...we only consider it a blizzard when it hits 5 feet :D

Morning! Well I froze my ass off this morning! I smoke but don't do it in the house, we have a big screen room off the back of the house which is the smokers room. Went out there with my tea and brrrrrrrr it was in the 40's but the wind was the killer |banghead|

Morning all -
I actually feel about 90% today after spending most of yesterday napping on and off.
Looks like 2 days of high 20's before the BIG Freeze hits us. Forcasting -20F at night.
Thermostat went out on the truck this morning, called the auto parts guy, he'll be bringing one over tomorrow morning. I'll get that changed as soon as he gets here. I hate working on things in -F temps.
Other than that, I appear to be nearly on schedule today :)

The only city in the USA to have never had frost -- Key West, FL.

Also, their post office is built with a slanted roof -- identical to those in the northern climates to prevent snow accumulation. (actually was a USPS requirement for all construction in that time period)

No snow or frost here, but, the heater has been working overtime. :) And down here, there are no heat pumps -- its all resistive heat. What you people with heat pumps call 'Emergency Heat'. FPL shareholders take delight in this kind of weather. Double edged sword for me.

Tons of work to do, so, I'm back to it.

Nice and warm here today, I'd call it beautiful if not for all the normal Monday bullshit I have to deal with. |angry|

Top is still out of the Vette. It was a bit nippy riding home home once I got up to about fifty since I was all sweaty.

Its 26 here and looks like like its blowing pretty good too, when I went to bed early this morning it was 17 out. They just keep raising and raising the natural gas prices around here and we have an old very non efficient furnace in our house and last year our gas bill was getting over 300/month on occaision, we usually keep the house pretty warm in the winter though, usually around 73-74. Well this fall the gas company said they was rasing the rates at least 40% and possibly 80%. So we decided to do a ton of weather proofing and keep the house at like 66.5-67 so we didnt end up with any 500$+ gas bills. So then we have the warmest winter on record, ever, hahaha. But winter decided to finally come back the last week or so, been getting in the teens and 20's at night and only in the low to mid 30's during the day. Just got my gas bill for the month of Jan and it was only 117$, which is amazing since last year for the same month it was probably over 320$. I only remember a few days in Jan where it even got below freezing, was in the 50's most the time.

That looks good!! Have fun..maybe The Bitch can start a Cirque du Soleil review site and send her exit traffic to LOR.. :D

Ooo I love Cirque du Soleil, must check when its coming here again, we went two years ago and were all suitably stunned. I am making something sweet in Flash for punani's valentine today :D
