Update on Greenguy's Stats - Affiliate Programs On This List Please Read & Reply
 

After a lot of thought & discussion on how to provide everyone with more accurate & in depth stats (as opposed to just 1st Page PPS Programs) I've decided that I'm going to try this for the next few months & see how it goes.

I've broken down most of the sponsors that I promote into 10 categories based on the following:
PPS/Free Trial/1st Page
PPS/Free Trial/2nd Page
PPS/Trial/1st Page
PPS/Trial/2nd Page
Revshare/No Trial/1st Page
Revshare/No Trial/2nd Page
Revshare/Trial/1st Page
Revshare/Trial/2nd Page
CCBill/Trial
CCBill/No Trial

Each month, I will publish stats for at lease one of these categories. The stats will include as much info as possible, such as all click ratios (signups per raw, per unique, per join, etc) and money per click totals (based on the stats closest to the category). There will be totals for the entire program as well as the individual sites in that program (when totals are available) and, for the 1st time, I will be publishing totals for sites that had no sales.

I am going to use a larger time frame as well. When I started doing the stats back in 2002, each run covered the previous month. In 2003, the runs moved to cover the previous 3 months of data. With this new set up, I am shooting to do stats for 6-12 months (depending on the program's stats system) The time frame for each sponsor will be listed in with their stats.

I am looking into publishing 2 versions of the stats. One will have all the sponsors & all their sites listed, the other will have all the individual sites sorted by category (still trying to work out the bugs on this part of it)

So anyway, for the last week or so, I've been going thru & categorizing most of the sponsors that I'm promoting (some are not on the list due to their lack of usable historical data)

If you own/work for an affiliate program on this list, please post & tell me if I have you in the correct category.

Also, if you are a friend of mine (and if you have to think about it, you're probably not) and you know for sure that I have a sponsor in the wrong category, please post so that I can look into it further.

You have our program listed as Sammy4u that is the site, the program is SammySmack. Also you have us listed under Revshare/No Trial/1st Page, by looking at your stats it seems as though you are using a mix of PPS/No Trial/1st page, PPS/Trial/1st Page, and some Revshare as well.

Exactly right, Cash Fetish is a CCBill program with no trials.

Will you indicate whether a CCBill program offers Pay Per Sale or Recurring? In our case we offer both, and a webmaster is welcome to promote both ways.

No :( Some programs offer so many different things as far as trials & no trials & revshare & PPS & Console free & so on. I'll just be listing the info for the part of the program that I am promoting.

PrideBucks is correct, though we do offer PPS as well, but with no trial.

Actually stepping away from the sponsor side of things, I am really looking forward to seeing these stats. There are around 12 programs I have been looking at and your stats will determine whether I promote them or not. Its an awesome service to fellow webmasters.

We show Raw, Unq and Qualified (equivalent to second page). The "Ratio" is calculated using the Qual uniques. So, If you are going to post the ratio we give you, them it's fair to say we would go under your "Revshare/Trial/2nd Page" category. If you are goin to manually calculate the ratio towards "Unq" then "Revshare/Trial/1st Page" is fine :)

Blazing - My ratio with you is much more along the lines of every other 2nd Page/No Trial program that I am promoting, but I'll move you & just keep an eye on things :)

1st Page Hits vs 2nd Page Hits
 

Just wondering...is there a general rule of thumb |thumb about the normal ratio of 1st page hits to 2nd page hits? This would be useful in comparing the different sets of affiliates...

You, sir, have listed us correctly. :-) Affiliates do have to option of disabling trials, though we don't recommend it.

Some only show 1st, some only show 2nd & some show both. I'll be posting any & all numbers (ratios) that the program provides & then everyone can make their own decisions.
