Anti-Fusker Thread
I forgot to put .htaccess on one of my sites, and it got "fuskered". Well, I was so pissed off so I rewrote .htaccess file so they are now hotliking themselves. Here's the script
---- RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$ RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http(s)?://(www\.)?johnnysporn.com [NC] RewriteRule \.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif)$ http://fusker-static.lewww.com/logo.gif [NC,R,L] ---- So, instead of hotlinking my pics, they are now hotlinking their logo. I suggest everyone check their .htaccess because these fuckers can burn a lot of your bw for nothing. |
The only problem I see with that, is anyone else hotlinking your pics is also getting the fusker logo. Why advertise for them?
I use tubgirl as my anti-hotlink image. I rarely need to ask to have any hotlinks removed. They remove them voluntarily, usually within a few hours. |

I just wanted to see how they hotlink their own picture. Just a bit mean this morning I guess... |angry| |
I'd never heard of tubgirl, so I did a search.
I wish I hadn't |flush| |

Some people will suggest that the "hotlinked from johnnyporn.com" would be the best solution (some people might type in the URL to see what they are missing) but in my mind fusker surfers are cheap bastards that would never pay for porn anyway, probably surf with java off, and wouldn't click on a single paying link in their lives.
I just want them to leave me alone, so tubgirl it is. I have a short list of domains that get the same treatment, I have noticed a new batch of sites in the last couple of weeks building galleries that they submit around that have thumbs on their site, but the actual images hotlinked from mine. They too are enjoying tubgirl. Alex |
I like your creative thinking! :)
|
I'm serving up an image that says visit Cleos-Porn-Links.com for Free Porn and I do get a fair amount of traffic from it. I also had a script installed on my server that does this for no referral hot linking traffic since much of Fusker traffic was no referral so htaccess was of no use.
|
Cleo, can you share which script you used for no referral hot linking?

I used to serve them goatse.. But now that i'm using thttpd for my galleries I cannot redirect to another url :(
Fusker should die slowly and painfully.. |

who do you ask permission from to use tubgirl pic, I am getting fuskered big time on two of my domains.
|
You don't ask permission... just shove them over there. Not your issue, if fusker wasn't hotlinking, they wouldn't get hit... I am sure they don't get hit too hard, considering that tubgirl galleries rarely last more than a few minutes :)

johnnybg's post about redirecting to fusker itself has inspired me..
I think I have found a way to kill fusker.. :D .htaccess Code:
RewriteEngine on Code:
$payloads = array( "http://speed.mirror.sptel.com.au/10mb.dat", This code assumes the user fuskering your gallery is logged in. It will send a request to fusker.lewww.com to download one of those big files. It seems Fusker doesn't check if the page actually is a HTML page.. Do with this what you like, but if you decide to use it.. Let me know, would see to see 'request timeout' on fusker ;) |
Why did I have to seek out tubgirl? There goes the rest of my day.. :(

redirecting a fusker hotlink 'attack' to someone else innocent is almost as bad as the original problem.
Hand them an image that advertises your site, redirect them to another fusker search url, or, do the right thing and track down their connections, report a DMCA violation to their host and both upstreams, then, take a look at the advertisers on that page, check their Terms & Conditions and write them an email saying that this advertiser is violating their T&C, take out the paragraph from their T&C and highlight it, and, send them links to content that you know they don't hold the copyright to. Until you hit their money source, they'll never stop. Here's a thread that includes a copy of the email I was sending to program owners. I believe it was somewhat instrumental in getting usefulidiot.com shut down which was a fusker clone. So, if every time you see a violation it is reported to the host & the host's upstream providers and the fusker mirror's income stream, eventually it'll become a paid hobby rather than an income producing hobby and perhaps it'll lose its lustre to those running the sites. Either that or they'll get tired of continually having to find new sponsors. http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...ad.php?t=17808 |
Those sites will never die.. they always find new sponsors or advertisers, dammit. Your .htaccess works Sparky :D
|
that's actually Raymor's .htaccess
|
How about we set it so fusker ends up hotlinking a big ass image from an internet law firm. So if one of us gets fuskered they crash the law firms site.
|
I really really hate fusker... found 2 more sites I didnt already have blocked.. GRRRR.
|
Well I've been browsing around some fusker sites for a couple of days now.
There is one that caught mu eye: fusker.usanurse.org This guy has advertising a the bottom of the page for these sites: LittleApril.com, MILFHunter.com, MILF Seeker, Cum Fiesta, Captain Stabbin, ChristineYoung.com, TeensForCash.com, JordanCapri.com, Lesbo101.com, Twistys.com, CollegeFuckFest.com, PeterNorth.com, XXX Proposal, Teeny Bopper Club, Bikini Contest Porn, Blind Date Sluts, Bus Stop Whores, BigNaturals.com, Load Junkies, Bang Bros, HerFirstAnalSex.com, MikeInBrazil.com He created mirror pages of these sites on the domain iwantanewgirlfriend.com with subdomains as names of affected sites. He linked join page links of actual sites with his ref codes. Clever isn't it? This is even better! He actually hotlinked one of his sponsors on his site . |
You might want to put the program names in there to try to twig board tracker:
teenrevenue.com nastydollars.com braincash.com lightspeedcash.com |
I got sick of trying to keep up with all those fusker sites, plus the htaccess won't stop them from hotlinking movies, so I just ponied up the $300 for the software at antihotlinking.com and now I don't have to worry about it.
|
Well, I took some time to send e-mails to sites which have advertising on fusker sites, to inform them what's going on.
All except one replied that they will investigate this matter and consider appropriate action against fusker sites involved. There was one reply that said:"Did you know that in 1997 and 1998 that gallery posts were also known as being bad, they would link to picture pages without the consent of the site owner sucking down the bandwidth of the site and costing them thousands of dollars. Fusker sites are no different then TGP's or usenet, we regularly post to all such sites with images that have my url on it, it is a great way for exposure just like tgp's, usenet and so on. Allowing fusker sites to make money from me is not hurting my site in anyway, its my site, my bandwidth and its my decision so I do not see how it would hurt any reputation. I know allot of you harp on things you do not understand or do not fully see the utilization of, but really, they are no different then the stuff TGP's pulled back in the day. Fusker sites are just another tool to get your pictures out there and get exposure. but thank you for your concern. " So, can anyone tell me how hotlinking my content and serving ads without my ref codes is "no different then TGP's"?!? Maybe I really don't understand these advertising masterminds? How hotlinking "will not affect" me, and how I can advertise on fusker when my advertising is stripped away? |
1997-98 is ancient history in this biz. A site like fusker in those days would have put him out of business due to the cost of the bandwidth.
The only value derived from being hotlinked by sites like fusker is the minimal amount of brand recognition from watermarked images. I'd send this guy a reply with a link to an image of an ostrich with it's head in the sand. |
Quote:
I really don't see how watermarked images sell anytning to fusker surfers who have endless repository of free porn and almost no advertising? While browsing fusker sites, I actually found one (I think based in Lithuania) that had NO advertising at all?! This is some strange group of people around fusker... |
Might be just to push traffic around or mask it's origin. How many people may not trade with a fusker site, but with a fusker site feeding traffic to another site that looks more legit. Who knows.

My immediate response would be to post that advertisers name on the board and allow others to decide if they want to support that program as it sounds like he's a little confused on a few issues. |
Linkster, I can not post the name here because they did not do anything illegal and they did not harm anyones business as far as I know.
I think that I would be acting like the Inquisition if I did that. They do not deserve to be "punished" like that just because they have strange marketing ideas. Anyone who wishes to know the name, I'll be glad to answer a PM. Only thing that I can disclose at this point is that this program is not well known, and I doubt people on this board even advertise it. BTW, the idea of painting rooftops to be advertised on Google maps sounds much better to me after this. What I can do, and will, is to post the names of sites affected by fusker sites, in this thread. |
Sorry for bumping this thread...
I was away on other project for several months, and I noticed that my domain johnnysporn.com is blacklisted on http://bl.usefulscripts.com/blocked/ :( When my problems with Fusker started, I deleted several affected sites from my host, because I didn't have any protective scripts on, and my bandwidth bill was climbing exponentially. Now, I realised that I created troubles for other WMs and I can't complain because I'm blacklisted for 404 pages. All I can do is to plead to be removed from blacklist. Will not happen again. BTW, I would put deleted sites back if I had backups... :( |
johnnybg - just file an appeal & referance this thread.
|
I already did appeal. I'll do it once more. Thanks for the tip Greenie!
